  • When I found this dresser on Facebook Marketplace for $20.00, I knew I had to give it a try! I was hoping it was all solid wood, but it was a mix of wood and particle board. Nonetheless, I saw some awesome potential to make this dated dresser into a cool Scandinavian design style. Watch this video to see how I updated a the main design elements to upgrade this dresser!
This project challenged me as I had issues getting the final stain applied correctly, but after almost giving up, I am so happy I persevered because the final product turned out better than I had expected. This piece definitely taught me some lessons, haha.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this project. Thank you for your time, if you have any questions let me know in the comments below, see you there!

Oh my gosh such a good video! What a transformation! This was a cool video to show how different challenges can be overcome, like the water damage and uneven drawers - and the staining saga at the end! I love how it turned out, and the contrasting stain colors look so good! Also loved the "jingle" and the magical finger gun dowel hammer haha. I found the ghost too! But am I allowed to say when it appears in the comments? 🤔

This was such a impactful transformation, after all the trial & error I think the black stain is stunning. Does your inspector approve of the final product? 😂

Thank you! He love it, he wanted to keep it but I had to remind him that we need that cash flow to pay for all his treats

Lots of work but well worth the effort. Transformation is exquisite. If i may criticize one thing, the legs are a little chunky imo. But I really like your work and attention to detail. Bravo.

Thank you for watching! I appreciate the compliment, I’m open to constructive criticism. I can see what you are saying, that’s the beauty of design. My goal was to design something unique with the knowledge and materials I had at the moment, so I decided the legs were proportional to the size of the dresser.
