    What's up my beautiful people!? Marathon prep #2 in the works! Excited to take yall along for my first Fartlek run of the season. It's my favorite workout so this was a fun one for me. After we finished this video I looked back at last year's first tempo run and was shocked to see the difference between my body at 6:05/mi vs 5:01/mi in this video. Our bodies are incredible.
    Once again, like last year, I'm truly humbled and grateful to have the opportunity to train like an elite with coach Ben Rosario, founder and executive director of the HOKA NAZ Elite! Can't wait to take y'all along this journey.. IT'S THE RENAISSANCE YEAR! Anyone else training for a 2024 spring marathon!? Let's get it, let's go!

    Impressive times. I'm amazed at your positivity because I find running in neighborhoods boring. However, running on trails - I feel all the exuberance that you showed here.

    That's what I naturally started doing, 1 hard, 1m jog, before I checked out what others doing. I still do that but some days I go 4m hard, 3m recovery.

      Fartlek is an interval session but you dont get to fully rest or stop.

      ​@@MegaDreamOo I thought it had more to do with variations in pace and time between intervals. So for example the first set you run at a 6/mile pace for 1 minute, then 7/mile for 2 minutes, then 5/mile for 30 seconds etc. So no predefined times and such. That's how I've done it a few times on a group bike ride. Every few minutes somebody else picks a random new pace and the rest just has to go along.

      @@ScrappyCoCo0 I agree with you, for me it's an interval session. But for some people, interval means get fast and stop completly and repeat, and for these people, fartlek means get fast and get slow, without ever stopping. Normally the real fartlek definition means go at various paces throughout your run, but I guess there are multiple meanings

      pretty similar but from what I understand intervals are usually a slower/stopped rest and almost pushing to the limit for the hard pace

    Brother you’re killing your body doing the daily running. We know you’re a warrior but take the pressure off yourself and give it up. Your body will love you in the long run.
