    Thank you so much for these videos!! I was an electrician by trade for over 20 years, and I just recently took a position as a electrical inspector for a local municipality, and I am in cross training to become a full building inspector and plans examiner. Our jurisdiction has adopted the UPC and I cannot tell you how much your videos are helping me, not just to understand the code, but to become a better inspector. This is a gold mine.

    Yours is now my favorite plumbing channel on CZcams. I’ve been having so much trouble with code as a first year, and it seems like it comes naturally to all the apprentices around me. I really appreciate you explaining this step by step because my first year teacher doesn’t do anything like that.

    Do you know what code nyc adheres to?

    • @BGsPlumbingClass
      @BGsPlumbingClass  Před 3 lety +1

      Most of the Eastern States adhere to the International Plumbing Code. NY is one of those. There are more similarities than there are differences. As far as I've seen over the years, if you adhere to the UPC, you will not be violating the IPC but some of the allowances in the IPC are not allowed by UPC standards (the UPC seems to be a bit more strict).

    • @BGsPlumbingClass
      @BGsPlumbingClass  Před 2 lety

      Glad you're watching! Code is not the easiest thing to understand. Each of these videos were originally done due to the restrictions of in class lectures due to the pandemic. When it had started, I'd already completed Chapter 1 in class. That is the reason this one lecture came in after the others. Once I have time, I could order these as a series- I'm sure there's a way. I hope that is what you meant by your comment. If not, then I will say that I do have a tendency to jump around a bit on occasion. That is how I've taught for over 22 years now. It is always to prove a point or to expand on the topic at hand. I always go back though.
