Cleaning my IBC tank and cutting the top off to turn it into a Koi pond/quarantine or grow on tank!

I’m this video I have a bit of a nightmare cleaning out dried on PVA glue from the inside of my second hand IBC tank…
I also give a bit of a ‘how to’ when cutting off the top and get this bad boy ready to start the proper conversation into my Koi pond.

Nice clean cut with the jigsaw angle grinder melts the plastic and makes a mess looking good so far 😉👍

Yea, I was really surprised at how clean it did cut it ! I was expecting lots of jagged edges etc but had hardly any!

Have you used an IBC tank for keeping fish? How did you approach converting it into a working fish tank?

I did mine years ago both where previously food grade usage liquid sugar . As mine were only a quarantine and growing on set up. Thay were removed from cage and with a Lazer level height just over halfway was marked all round And then cut with a plastics blade . Cage frame cut to suit . A layer of cellotex added all round sides . For insulation . As there in a large shed only needed to clad the front.bamboo screen on a roll covers front . New scaffold boards used for top edge. Bottom taps are connected to pipework for drainage to waste and cleaning purposes .I've raised lots in both of them over the years .
