Thank you for the video! As a girl with a '93 Firebird Formula, I've learned I may as well get greasy. I've impressed a few fellas by bragging that I replaced the heater core all by myself 😎😁 I couldn't have done it without you!!
Awesome video, I was afraid I would have to take the dash out to get to this bad boy. Very informative. Thank you for sharing!!!!!!
Looks like payday I'll be ordering a heater core from Summit. Had to by pass it this evening so I can make it to work this week, but I didn't butcher my hoses. I'll have my laptop in the car following your video 🙃🙃🙃🙃
Great video! We appreciate your business.
Thank y’all for everything!
dude got his king of the hill boomhoward talk going on good
Thanks bro, its exactly what i needed to see because i wanna change my heater core also for my 2000 Firebird👍
Glad I could help, brother! 🤘🏼
Sure it's the same as the 93-99 cars?..
Dude, this is great. Just getting to mine and wasn't too sure about how bad it was going to be. Looks not so bad at all, I got this!
Thanks, brother! You got it!
@@mulletzgarage1676 That wasn't so bad at all, even without draining the coolant. So glad to get this car back on the road!
Perfect video for this situation
good video man, fixin to atempt this on my 98 formula ...& lovin the gmmg exhaust! ...gotta madhammer/gmmg exhaust sittin in my garage soon to go on mine... thanx again & god bless dude
Appreciate the video man, informative and to the point well done. Earned a sub today. Have an ole '98 z28 which for the 1st time is leakin some coolant which the way it's behaving sounds more like thermostat or radiator caps worn out not allowing that green Ninja turtle p*ss to circulate properly n raised my coolant level considerably with slight leakage underneath but this morning after cooling over night it was lower on the dip than 'cold full' which has never happened before. Might be time to just give the ole girl a well deserved all new cooling system. Appreciate these types of videos kinda wanna tackle the project myself for the experience of it.
Good show!
nice video
Hey great video btw, I also have a 94 camaro z28, so u had to take the hoses off bcuz someone had bypassed the heater cord right?..so when I'm changing mine do i need to take those hoses off at all, & if so how & y?
I'm assuming you got your heat back working in the cabin after removing the bypass and installing the new heater core? Excellent video.
What procedure did you bleed the coolant with those screws.
I have a 94 z28 with no heat. How can I verify if the heater core being plugged is causing the problem?
Did you get a wet carpet when the heater core whent bad?
Outstanding video my Brother. No BS and straight to the point!
How exactly does the air bleed work?
My 98 transam has ac leak they told me it whas the same part it changing can it be or they just wanna rip me off thank u
Hi Mullet'Z. I have a 1994 Z28 Camaro and recently I noticed antifreeze dripping on the passenger side. Could that be the heater core causing the leak? Thanks appreciate it. Love the car. Love the video.
Yes, that would be the heater core. Goodluck and thank you
@@mulletzgarage1676 Thank you.
My car's engine will overheat, cool down to normal temperatures, and then overheat again. There's no funny noises coming from the engines, no loss of engine power, and no white smoke coming from the exhaust, so I don't think its the head gasket. Every time I drive, the thermostat will inch up to the max temperature on the gauge and when I stop, steam will be comping out of the coolant reservoir cap. What do you think it might be? My standing theory is that there are air pockets in my cooling system because my friend did a coolant flush for me but left the cap loose (pretty much open), which is when it first overheated. What do you think?
How do you get the tabs off? You shouldn't have edited that out
Your car sounds like my 94 z28....very beefy :) My question is this though...Did you have even a little heat? My heat isnt out completely but I still cant drive it in the winter cuz there's not enough to de-ice my windows.
What kind of exhaust do you have? Also, what cam?
Longtubes, off-road y pipe, back to a GMMG exhaust. I have a CC306 cam from summit racing.
You got a nosey neighbor too😂
What exhaust system do you have
GMMG exhaust, Longtubes, off-road y pipe
Similar on a 98’ with an ls?
Yes, all the same steps. I did it in a 2001 camaro and it was the same steps.

Interesting video. But my question is this:
The evap core. I removed the blow motor and zig zagged my arm in painful ways to such leaves and debris out of the area where the evap is. However my air isnt blowing hard and ive ran the blower out of the car and confirmed i have all 4 speeds. and it spins good. So my thought is the evap coil is still clogged with crap. Any idea how to get at it properly to clean it?
Second comment 🤙🏻
It'll fall right out.. video edit and it's out meaning it does not just fall right out lol. Good video tho ty
you seriously set the core on top of your rear spoiler?
Yeah, why not? Needs a paint job haha
why all the white smoke out the exhaust looks like a blown head gasket to me...
White smoke on a cold start is normal. If it continues then ya you're probably burning coolant
@@kevinschmitt5592 only if its cold out side.
Arresting video is disturbing just for heater core replacement lol...
