- This tutorial explains how to print password-protected PDF files that are otherwise restricted from printing. You can unlock the secured PDF and permanently remove the printing restriction from any PDF file.

i figured it out within 1 minute and 33 seconds.. with no sound. that just means you put together a beautifully simple tutorial. which is how they all should be. so thank you so much for your time and effort in putting this together. i was helping my girlfriend print a 71 page document for her law school midterm review. this was an enormous help.

Worked quite well. Remember, he said to chose "print" and change the option of where to print. The option I chose was "as a pdf".
This worked like a charm for me. I had a PDF that would only print a blank page if I didn't fill all form fields, but with this neat little trick I was able to print the form for manual filling. Thanks a ton.

July 2022 this is not working anymore. Google Drive is stating the file permissions don't allow printing. This must have been a recent change.

I made a special trip some distance to print and scan the signed page I needed to insert, only to discover the original file was protected in a way even Adobe Acrobat couldn't help with meaning another trip to print and scan the remaining pages, as one complete document. Your tutorial worked perfectly!
Everything he said worked perfectly. I had to print a locked 20+ page PDF document and only did so with Amit's instructions.

Thanks! It worked for me! I was a secured PDF. I had no copy, no print, no export active. I opened google drive (click the 3 dots in the right corner on the google page - you need and account like gmail). Uploaded the 30 pages file. I only needed to print 5 pages. If you click print, it opes a new window with a printable PDF file (online). You chose the pages you want to print, if not all.
Thank you Amit. I never have to use acrobat, or anything protected since my content is my own. However for my dad's work one of his clients protect almost everything. So from this he could see and edit the dimensions a job. Helped so much.

I know this is a bit old, but worked great. Simple to understand. Straight to the point.
Unfortunately, it still did not work for me. Is there something else I could try? When I click the print icon at the end, nothing happens. The print button is active, but the window to print never pops up. In fact, nothing happens when I click print. I also tried to download it as you suggested and then print it that way, but it still did not work. I know I followed the steps perfectly because your video is very clear, thorough and user-friendly. Back to the drawing board.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work on a Mac. I actually think this is a bug with Mac Preview as it keeps demanding a password even though the document has no password.
What if the file is already on Google Drive and someone just share the link with you? Now how to save or download it?

Hey there, I have a pdf file which doesn't open without the password, is there any way, it can be opened?
This did not work for me. When I clicked Print in Google Drive, it downloaded the secured file. There is no way to print it. Maybe Google changed something.
This does not work on bank statements from Kotak Mahindra bank and Credit card statements from citibank and HDFC bank

Dang. This is usually how unlock PDFs but I have one that ABSOLUTELY will NOT unlock. It has some sort lf super encryption on it. :(
It's a Yamaha manual that I need to pull graphics from but all my usual tricks to unlock aren't working. 😬

For the people saying it doesn't work. Same thing happened to me but I was able to unblock the file using ilovepdf free service, they have an unlock feature. hope it helps

Google Drive didn't work for me, However.... I created a link, and opened that link in Firefox, and was able to print directly from Firefox.

It works for so many people but unfortunately not for me 😂. When clicked print icon , there is no print window . It says “! This file has limited permissions. You may not have access to some features “ 😭 I don’t know how to continue .
