@@TheRealCocoMon I don't know that it's a system. But I try to think to consider my overall enjoyment and why I feel that way. I try to factor in subjective experience...the intangible.
So it's like thinking through: which is objectively best, which is more ambitious, which means the most to me, and which I'd like to rewatch and why.

Sean is one the very few who rank all phases of the mcu in one video, respect the effort man.
Infinity War is hands down the optimum MCU feature movie, a vast cast of well established characters that doesn’t derail nor discard the main leads, abundant tones so intellectually sympathised, an antagonist who garnered an explicit motive and depth contrary to most Marvel villains and the climax is hands down the most palpable sequence in cinema not just the MCU

100% agree with your reasoning with your Moon Knight Placement. I just love the Oscar Isaac’s performance soooo much. Im also a huge fan of Egyptian mythology, and this show gives me so much of that. The score and cinematography are among my favorite things about the show too. If we had more Moon Knight in costume, and if the finale wasn’t so rushed this would be a 10/10 project for me
Yep. I think Oscar's acting was arguably the best we've ever seen in the MCU. Ethan Hawke also did a very nice job. Overall, I thought the script explored a sophisticated depiction of DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) and that, along with Egyptian mythology, was the focus of the show. I'm sure we will see plenty of MK in costume down the line.

I’m shocked of how high Guardians 2 made it in. For me it’s in the top 15 but Sean is known for not liking it. Just shows you how low theMCU has fallen
Overcrowded is pretty good way to describe it now, we used to get 2-3 movies a year.
I think 2022 we got 4 movies, 4 TV shows, 1 special which is crazy I think with a bigger Company funding them 2 movies, 2 TV shows, maybe 1 special per year would be plenty.

I’m still considering it, especially cause I’m watching and reading enough stuff as it is, I don’t need to be disappointed by another MCU product when I’ve had enough of the franchise. @@marko9463 yes I remember that. And like I said I still need to see when I can. If you’re still feeling hyped with the MCU and can’t wait for what’s to come, then it’s easy to drop everything for the franchise. I used to be like that with the MCU, but not since Phase 4. I can’t just drop everything I’m consuming in my free time for Loki, cause there’s other things I’d rather be watching or reading or doing. Not even if everyone loves it. That’s how people felt about season 1 and I still thought it was just ok. That’s why I’m saying considering it, cause I dunno when I’ll feel like watching it…

Moon Knight being that low on the list is going to end up being another hot take for you like Guardians vol 2. Some consider Moonknight to be the best Disney+ show and the best of phase 4. I don’t but I would have it middle tier
Dr. Strange is in my top ten. The ending showdown is the most unique in the entire MCU.

Respect the grind on this one man! Really brought me through the years and I adjusted my own ranking. I was one of the people that came to your channel from the Thor Ragnarok blowup I believe and it's been so awesome to see you grow as a creator. You deserve all the success coming your way. I'll never forget seeing Infinity War and Endgame opening day. Great memories even if the magic is probably gone. Here is just the films for me as I fell off the TV shows.
33: The Marvels- An abject disaster on a story and character front that I'm shocked it made it to this point.
32: Captain Marvel- Completely forgettable movie with a bland villain and lead character.
31: Eternals- Respect the attempt at something different and some natural cinematography used but an odd somber story about flat characters you don't care about mixed with jarring MCU jokes.
30: Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania- CGI nightmare and just a complete bore making comedic characters more serious.
29: Thor Love and Thunder- There are pieces for a great movie here with Jane and Gorr but an absolute phoned in job from Waititi.
28: Iron Man 2- Avengers set up the movie with a complete waste of Mickey Rooney and Sam Rockwell.
27: Thor the Dark World: Just a dull movie but have never hated it as much as most due to Thor and Loki's dynamic.
26: Spider-Man Far From Home- I echo your sentiments entirely. Annoys me more as time passes.
25: Ant-Man and the Wasp- A forgettable movie with another forgettable villain and makes Ant-Man seem clueless in his own movie.
24: Black Widow- A decent little spy film with fun new characters ruined by the reveal of Taskmaster and a terrible CGI finale.
23: The Incredible Hulk- Have always liked this and Edward Norton as Hulk, wish we would've gotten more MCU films in this tone.
22: Black Panther Wakanda Forever: A movie with really high highs sunk by Riri Williams, forced Martin Freeman subplot and the odd Namor story which could've been great but felt like a waste. Frustrating it could've been much much better but given the circumstances I understand some.
21: Black Panther- A pretty good movie with a great villain but unfortunately Boseman felt upstaged in his own movie and the story isn't really gripping stuff.
20: Avengers Age of Ultron- Fun but a mess on a story part and Ultron has his ups and downs as an effective villain. Remember the original threatening trailer, that's what I wanted.
19: Thor- Fun stuff with Loki and some of the stuff on Earth does work for me but a rushed finale keeps it down.
18: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings- A decent little origin story with some solid laughs that is held back by yet another CGI ending battle where my eyes glaze over.
17: Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness- As a huge Raimi fan it's a fun time and love Wanda as the villain but is stuck in a stock MCU movie with a pretty annoying sidekick.
16: Ant-Man- Rock solid fun little heist movie with likable characters.
15: Doctor Strange- Stock MCU story and complete waste of Mads Mikkelson but the visuals, characters and really creative ending make up for it.
14: The Avengers- Really great dialogue and character work that is kept from the top tier due to the long lifeless battles against nameless CGI creatures and it looking like a TV movie. Loki top tier villain of course as well.
13: Iron Man 3- Shane Black really nailed what I want in an Iron Man movie and his style is a perfect fit for the character. Great dynamic with Harley and Rodey but is brought down by a forgetable finale.
12: Iron Man- Obviously the perfect character introduction and phenomenal opening two acts brought down for me by forgettable villain and punch off.
11: Spider-Man Homecoming- Surprising how much I really enjoy this, Holland is a great Spider-Man and Keaton is maybe my favorite MCU villain, only thing keeping it from the top is the reliance on Iron Man which I've always been torn on.
10: Thor Ragnarok- Always am a little split on the tone and handling of certain events but it's just too hilarious with great character banter to punish.
9: Spider-Man No Way Home- Totally echo your thoughts regarding the setup which has always annoyed me but yeah obviously seeing them together was incredible fun. Still though feels like a missed opportunity for something even better with the other old Spider-Man villains where they reused a lot of dialogue and CGI plus Toby never talking with Goblin has always rubbed me the wrong way. On the other hand a great reverse origin and downbeat ending.
8: Guardians of the Galaxy- Perfect character work and banter which set up them perfectly but Ronan and the ending is so forgettable.
7: Captain America The First Avenger- Absolutely love this underrated stylistic gem that feels so fresh now with such an earnest lead performance with actual emotion with Bucky and Peggy wrapping it up so nicely. Red Skull is also a fun scenery chewing villain.
6: Avengers Endgame- Obviously a complete blast and perfect ending to the saga but the setup is a bit long and have never loved Professor Hulk.
5: Captain America Civil War- Such a great blend of the serious and the comedy of the MCU, Bucky and his story is central and so compelling with his past, the fight in the lab might be my favorite MCU scene.
4: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3- A perfect end to the trilogy that just stands completely on it's own and another great blend of drama and comedy, everyone gives Rocket his props but shoutout Chris Pratt for delivering an absolutely underrated and great performance.
3: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2- I'm in the minority but my favorite Guardians film that draws out such huge emotions with the finale and Yondu, I cry everytime. Kurt Russell was perfect casting and really enjoyed his dynamic even if his plan is a touch rushed. I also thought the tone worked for me, it was sectioned off enough to split it.
2: Captain America Winter Soldier- Bucky's story has always been some of my favorite MCU stuff and Steven Rogers in modern day works so well with where the world is at compared to where it was. One of the few MCU movies with some standout hand to hand action scenes.
1: Avengers Infinity War- For everything it completes and sets up and the amount of characters it juggles it is perfect. Everything that I loved about the MCU in one movie and one I go back to often just on its own.

I love seeing Guardians of the galaxy volume 2 so high. That movie is underrated, I thought it was really good. And even though Volume 3 is my favourite out of the 3, I still really enjoyed volume 2. Also for me my number one mcu film is Spider man no way home. Excellent movie for me, I’ve been a spider man fan for a while and grew up with the Raimi films so it was the best experience ever watching No way home

@@azure_azure Yondu’s death was so emotional! I saw No way home a few times in theatres and a few times streaming at home, and it’s still so good. I can’t watch it without crying though. So many emotional scenes, especially with Aunt May’s death and the entire ending with Peter saying his goodbye’s to MJ and Ned with the sad music in the background since everyone had to forget who Peter Parker was. Too heartbreaking but such a good movie

I’m really shocked that you have WandaVision and Hawkeye above Loki. I consider Loki to be easily the best of the MCU series. It’s risky, different, weird, wacky, hilarious, philosophical, poignant, emotional, and so much more. Most of that can be said about WandaVision as well, which is my number two, but it loses steam towards the end. Whereas Loki across both seasons just drops Loki and us into a wild ride and never lets up til the very end. It’s also the only MCU show to properly stick the landing for a finale, and Loki did it twice. Everyone’s opinions are valid of course. I guess I’m just sad not everyone enjoys Loki as much as I do. Love your videos and your channel! 💚

What you said about captain marvel is simply your opinion for me the movie isn’t emotionally empty and I really cared for Carol and this is honestly of the movies I like the most of all Marvel movies.
I thought it was fun emotional I really liked Brie, Samuel L Jackson and the Skrulls and I loved the movie.

Somehow quantumania hit the right notes for me , so I put it much further up the list . As well as the eternals movie , was very beautiful for my taste , and I would not be as harsh with moonknight . But all in all , you have a great list here .
That line about Guardians 3 being "off in its own space" was more clever than the Ant Man joke imo

What killed me about MOM was the writer and director didn't watch Wandavision, so Wanda doesn't feel like Wanda in the slightest.

Uhh, this is the same guy whose first ever meeting with Peter was to recruit him to fight the Scarlet Witch and the Winter Soldier (who Tony believed bombed the UN and killed dozens of innocent people at this point). It's not out of character at all.

I'm with you @BalaRiceUnderstatement . Plus, I think Peter had earned Tony's trust further after stopping the Vulture all by himself in Spider-Man Homecoming. Tony did after all put an AI in his first Red and Blue Suit that had "instant kill" mode, and he was willing to give Peter the Iron Spider Suit, which ALSO had "instant kill" mode, as we saw in Avengers Endgame. So I too would say it's not out of character at all.

I actually thought Falcon and the Winter Soldier deserved a higher spot on this list. The villian was a bit too relatable but I liked how they showed some of the effects of the Blip on the world at large.

the avengrrs movies are events and spectacular but I think winder soldier is a special movie not only a great cookbook movie but just a great movie outright
i cant agree with moon knight being lower than the marvels either. oscar isaac carries moon knight further than villani carries the marvels. the marvels is total guff with almost no heart or relatabiltiy
