Just bought this to add to my AR collection and Daniel Defense collection. Got the MK18 300 Blackout four years ago and DDM4V7 early this year

Yeah, you don't save a whole lot when you build your own. My personal preference is Spike's Tactical. I have an 11.5 Spike's Pistol. But if I had to choose anything else, I would pick BCM over DD. My cousin has a very nice DD, and I've shot it quite a few times. It just didn't blow me away like all the DD fanboys I know said it would. To each their own I guess.

This is a top tier ar pistol with many high quality components from a an american manufacturer that wholeheartedly backs their product. I've been looking at this for almost a year and finally snagged one 3 days ago. This is my favorite firearm by far and I thought nothing would top my cmmg resolute 300.

Does this mean you cant change out the pistol brace to something else?
I wanted to put a SB4 with law tactical folder on my DDM4 PDW, but now I am unsure if I can do that based on that comment about the Maxim brace.
If anyone has any insight on changing out the Maxim brace on this weapon, please advise.

Looks cool, I'm diggin that blast deflector but $1900 for a somewhat basic AR pistol is a little ridiculous although not quite as ridiculous as a $4500 "working man's" 1911. Lol 😁
This is gay, my AAC MPW in 300 blackout needs no changes to any springs to shoot both supers and subs with out without a can and its a 9 inch

And you shouldn't have to change components in order to run a suppressor if the product is built right. Don't get me wrong, DD does make nice stuff (their quad rails are a just pure masterpieces) but they are totally off the rails with this one.

@@375Cheytac I don't sell guns. I run subs exclusively and run a RC2 can on them. Awesome platform, but a little heavy for its size. I lightened it/softened it a bit by running a 2A Armament titanium RBC carrier. Dial the gas to 220gr suppressed. The only downside is buying 5K rounds of Underwood subs.

In these pdw style pistols I'd rather go with a piston system.... DI + 7" barrel + Suppressor = Hella Gas and Debris blowback
Gas buster CH and Gemtech BCG. Fixed
Also just using an OSS suppressor will also fix that. There really is never a good reason to add the extra weight and reciprocating mass of an external piston operating system to the AR-15 unless you plan to do Scuba diving with your AR.
Id rather not have to pay for all the parts to make my gun less gassy, rather just have a platform that better dissipates gases

I have an 8 inch .300 upper from Andro Corps Industries and it runs like a dream. Entire complete upper was only $350! ACI is also held in high regard by the folks on AR15.COM, which to my understanding is no easy feat.

You know, I owned a high end $1,800 DD Rifle, thing crapped out at 1,000rds. Got a PSA AR-15, had absolutely NO issues whatsoever.
Unfortunately, the DDM PDW is NOT a go-to-war gun. My buddy bought one about 4 months ago and dropped a Timney trigger into it. It allowed it to run about as fast as a full auto… only to seize the bolt carrier. Not cool, Daniel Defense. Not cool at all.

2g for a pistol a can build with better parts for 1g, they only have going for them that their barrels are cold hammer forged. Nothing else that makes it worth while.

I bought an MK18 from them and it wasnt worth all of that money. The owner of Defender Outdoors here in Fort Worth built me a rifle better than that for 1k cheaper. Stop supporting these overpriced companies.

5.56x45 round needs a velocity of 2500 fps to perform properly; a 10.5 barrel is needed. I honestly don't understand why the hype for these chopped down AR's
