On the other hand they are just ppl too… and the only evil entity involved in all human history was the result of people. If you become a cop, you should not be told your safety is first, and to immediately start shooting every time you see a gun. Especially when you choose to be a cop in gun county numero uno… if you do, you didn’t honestly swear on your oath. And that makes you a tyrant. Case in point. Anyone in this country should be able to answer the door with a gun in hand. But we are to the point where if you do, and it’s a cop knocking… 50/50 you live through it. That’s tyranny.

      That's not entirely true. They are responsible for your safety if you are in their custody and they have a responsibility to make a good faith attempt at keeping people safe when they are present. What they can't do is to guarantee someone's safety just because they called 911.

    I’ve had loaded guns pointed at me before by people who didn’t realize who I was. I’ve had armed and violent felons with guns in their hands that I’ve held at gunpoint.
    Context, and body language, both matter. The simple presence of a weapon is not justification to kill someone.

      The concept isn't terrible on its face. Public officials should be able to do their jobs in good faith without being sued every time somebody gets hurt feewings. The problem is when their actions are obviously not in good faith or they should have reasonably known they were violating the law.

      An investigation would show that this was murder with trump, it very clearly demonstrated that there was no reason to think trump did anything wrong.

      I have a job (not first-responder related) that deals with qualified immunity. Knowing that if I'm doing my job correctly and to the best of my ability, I don't have to worry as much about the people I deal with in the job daily suing my ass into poverty or worse _because_ I'm trying to do my job _the way it's supposed to be done_ takes some stress out of the equation. Not that there isn't still stress enough to go around... but every little bit helps.

      The cop waited outside at Sandy Hook too and nobody bothered to even life flight or allow ambulances access to over 20 of those patients, anywhere else even code blue patients...no pulse, believed to be dead, are at least worked on and some attempt is made short of a full decapitation, a highly decomposed body or buried body before a coroner is brought in to do the death declarations. Stinks pretty badly in those and many more cases.

    Let's be real, the full scale game of "Minecraft" has already begun in a semi-cold format, when it goes full hot, the longer it's put off, probably the worse it will be for everyone, they did all these horrible things to divide the people inflate the currency, hurt the economy, make it more expensive and difficult to accuire supplies, effect people's health and wait for 'Nam era patriots with a lot of skills and leaderahip abilities to age out. We have been under the duress of a massive tyrrany since at least 1913. The bad guys have decimated our economy, generations of our young men sent to fight in unconstitutional wars, robbed of unconsitiutional taxes, subjected to numerous unconstitional laws designed to hurt, imprision and demoralize the lower classes. "Some calls it a boogaloo, I calls it a Minecraft." I would much rather find a way to find recourse in a fully legal and administrative manner. I don't want to see the effects of full scale minecraft on us soil. It is looking inevitable. Thankfully my generation is highly experienced in insurgency, we fought and learned from some of the best just like our 'Nam era forefathers.

      I bought one recently, PSA has a deal for 8 gen 2 pmags for super cheap if you buy a binary.
      I sometimes get doubles (on the pull) and sometimes the release is just a reset, but I'm mostly using it on an AR22 so I'll write those problems off as a lack of energy on the reset from the lower mass bolt.

    Fortson couldn't hear the cop identifying himself because he was in a back-room talking on the phone(facetime) he just hears banging so he expects he's being robbed. even if he did hear them yelling "police" criminals do that all the time now they pretend to be cops to get you to open the door then force their way in.

    I think considering the facts of the case, it’s murder. But the defense will argue that he “reasonably feared for his life”, if they even charge him. A jury might convict him if you get the right crowd. I think you’re right about him drawing and stepping to the side would be reasonable, but ultimately he let his fear take control of him, which is something we see from cops far too much these days.

    I knocked on a friends door who was expecting me, and he had a gun in his hand. I never felt it was justified to use deadly force on him, nor did I feel entitled to him not having a gun on him in his own home.
    Police need to stop acting entitled to reverance of them and their job.

    I’m not sure about charges in this case, but there’s no reason to answer the door with gun in-hand. I think going to the door with the weapon concealed is a much better approach, or at least in an open-carry holster. Having a hand on a firearm gives the officer little response time. Exercising gun rights requires a working frontal lobe-unless you want to end up on Brandon Herrera’s channel.

      I agree totally. I think/ hope that ccw holders have thought about how to handle being seen while being pulled over to minimize any misunderstandings. Now maybe this will translate to all interactions with cops while being armed. The gun certainly can complicate interactions with police.

    Franklin armory is cooked pembleton and sons came out with a binary discounter discounter for 22.50$ and it’s not finicky like Franklin armorys where you will get dead triggers trying to shoot faster then the gun.

Yep I grew up and trained with safies. Its absolutely nothing to click it off while unholstering, making its existence not a hinderance for draw to pull times.

    I put Glock switches in the same category as bump stocks: dumb and useless, but shouldn't be illegal. For that matter, useful things like traditional machine guns should be recognized as protected under the 2A, but that's for another day.

    The results of the Duran case are unpredictable. Regardless of the legalities, answering the door with a gun in your hand is putting yourself at risk of being shot who may later claim self-defense. On the other hand, answering the door without a gun in your hand can also be dangerous. Life is not always fair.

    The food truck guy was onto something. We got a food truck by my parents shop and you never see the actual trailer leave the area. The trailer moves maybe 10 feet between them opening and closing. Leave your stash hidden in the trailer and you’re good to go till someone snitches.
    Smartest drug dealer I saw was on a moped. I went to buy some acid late at night, out of nowhere the plug rolls up on a Walmart moped. I was like bro that’s the smartest thing I’ve ever seen, it’s like $1000 if the cops get behind you just ditch it and run on foot. Hell I’d be taking it down bike paths to get away. I’d go a step ahead of a moped tho and probably go more twords a dirt bike personally

    Owner of said company was active duty still and couldn’t defend him self.

    I think i need to do some googling here. I thought IR lasers were for using with NVG's. In the ad he says the ir laser on that cant be seen by them. Am i misunderstanding the IR laser's capabilities and uses?

      It's a ranging laser. It's for passive use with a magnified optic. The visible aiming laser is to collimate it with your scope. Then when you put your reticle on an object you can lase that point for distance, but the onboard computer will calculate the firing solution and give you click values for elevation and wind, based on data you can upload from an app on your phone beforehand.

    Every job I have ever had was and is ranked as being more dangerous than being a Cop. Just putting on a uniform does not make you brave, it actually teaches the opposite. They are taught to rely on and to depend on their fellow bros and normally I'd have no issue with brotherhood but this brotherhood values itself over your rights all day everyday. It's become their go-to norm to treat anyone standing on their rights as crazy or label them as "Sovereign Citizens". My respect is earned, not just given freely and therefore it has value.

    I haven't watched the bodycam footage or heard any detailed accounts of what happened to the airman. Did the officer identify himself or attempt to give commands before opening fire? That would be extremely relevant in considering criminal charges. If he didn't do either he should get the book thrown at him. If he did one (but not both) the prosecutor should very carefully consider what charges to pursue. If he did both it's doubtful any charge would stick. But the fact we keep talking about it makes me think it's probably the first scenario.

    In the case involving government murder of the service member, we need to force the government to admit abf put into precedent that civilians get priority. That means reversing the precedent that cops don't have an obligation to save people and risk their lives. Until the change becomes "they must risk death before civilians die" these cops and judges and feds need to mysteriously stop showing up to work or any other event.
