I've always wondered how many kids were scarred for life, because a grandparent unknowingly thought they were renting the Disney classic.

I can't believe I've never heard of Dead End! Sounds like it's right up my alley, thanks for the rec Amanda! And Romero's Dawn of the Dead can never get enough love. It's my favorite horror film of all time. Sadly not available to stream legally in the US due to rights hoarding (it can be found on youtube though).

I am so happy that the Hole is loved by so many! When I first saw it no one knew about it and there weren't many streaming services at the time to even look for it on.
I watched it when I was on a Desmond Harrington phase after Wrong Turn and loved it. I used to watch it like every day 😅
I love movies, and books, with these kind of "trapped" settings, it adds so much tension when done well.
So happy you mentioned The Hole, that move doesn't get enough love, the whole idea of it is so simple but genuinely creepy.
I am not a big fan of vampire movies, but I really liked 30 Days of Night. Love how the vampires look, and Danny Huston is just marvelous.

@@mandysmorgueofhorror Blood Cruise by Mats Strandberg is a great one! Set on a cruise ship that travels between Sweden and Finland, full of people ready to drink and party. Unbeknownst to them, though, something very evil is on board with them... It's such a fun, gory ride, full of interesting and compelling characters, I really recommend it.
Awesome list! 1408 is one of my favorite horror movies of all time. Dead end is super cool and not talked about enough, Disturbia is a gem imo and super rewatchable! Excite to try the hole and rear window 👍

I just watched Rats: Night of Terror the other day. It's a post-apocalyptic horror movie where a bunch of people are stuck in a research lab/concrete building with tons of killer rats. It's silly, gory and very Italian. It's on Tubi. I think it's worth a watch.

Love Disturbia and its excellent Summer vibes. Dead End is one of my all-time favourites. Cube is the best 'trapped' movie not on the list. Strongly recommend that one, pretty clearly inspired Saw, which is another 'trapped' classic.

I was going to mention Vivarium. It's such a frustrating movie, and it stayed with me, which shows just how effective it was.
I like 30 Days of Night. I saw The Watchers yesterday. I think you’ll enjoy it, because I did.
