EVs should be either RWD or AWD, not the FWD even by mistake. FWD literally robs all the driving feel and excessive wheel spin wear out tyres quickly.
It's disgusting when EVs are FWD.
The only way to leverage the extra weight of an EV is RWD because otherwise the sprints will be involving but not the turns.
Moreover, rear axle mounted electric motor will not leave a hump on the rear deck the same way an ICE would. Rear axle mounted electric motor will free up precious cargo space under the front bonnet. Reclaimed space from the cabin can be devoted for a 3rd row of seats.

Saw this car pull alongside me on a highway at a speed bump. I barely shifted a gear to accelerate my Verna... and it disappeared before we even began. Amazing!

Instead of these 30-40 lakh electric behemoths, companies should make an electric car that can fight the maruti alto 800. I feel buyers of that category will benefit a lot (people who only want something for going from A to B while being efficient and easy to maintain). It doesn't have to be immensely powerful, feature rich or big in size. Only needs decent range. The Tiago EV is a step in the right direction, but still way too expensive.
Bro many youtube videos gave information about maruti 800 ev concept in which maruti 800 was reimagined in an electric avatar with advanced features. Hopes MSIL makes it a reality. Your thinking is quite relatable to mine. We need more mass market evs

Been a BYD ATTO3 owner since 11 months now. Great car but some important features are missing - SIM and APP connectivity due to the fact that BYD India has not installed its Server in India since inception. All we owners get is a promise and that keeps getting postponed every 3 months. Would advice new BYD customers to know this fact and to get a proper written promise from BYD before finalising the purchase. Thanks all

I like this car for what its offering and price is justifiable I guess (first impression) . Don't care if its Chinese . Its quick, very good range, safe as well. Only thing is to see how this car ages when customers buy it and use it for a long term. Hopefully BYD service would be good as it grows.
BYD is an amazing compnay. In 2021, it was the fourth largest and It recently became the world's largest EV manufacturer. It is also one of the few companies that manufacture their own batteries. Probably the best electric car available in India now. Even KIA and Hyundai are probably worse because there have been a lot of reliability issues and even issues of batteries catching fire in KIA and Hyundai EV's.
@@nnlniclb i don't know much about EV6 and Ionic 5's reliability because not much time has passed since their sales started in other countries. But i assume Atto3 is a good competitor that's for sure .
@@Alex-ud4tl I don't think Atto 3 is a competitor to Ioniq 5 or EV6. The BYD costs 35 lakhs and the Korean twins cost double that. The reliability issues I mentioned was not about the current models but the history of electric vehicles produced by hyundai and kia. Like the Kona Electric which had a lot of fire incidents.
@@nnlniclb yeah i think kona is gonna get discontinued because of recent mass recalls. They are focusing on 2023 Ioniq 6 now. And by Atto3 being a competition, i meant based on the price range itself. Kind of an electric alternative for tiguan .

Got my atto3 delivered on Jan 24th, simply loving this car, the performance is great, in city it's giving around 440-450 km and on highways 410-420 km per charge, fell in love with the interiors

why are cars coming with so much gimmicks.
I mean in a car what u need is good performance and good driving feel along with basic features like AC, music system, a decent screen for android auto/apple car play, and sunroof if u are buying car over 15-20L.
These rotating screens are cool but in long run it wont add value, air purifiers, electronic parking brake, keyless entry I feel are gimmick. Voice assistants are full gimmick, I can open sunroof play music by myself. We hardly use siri and google assistant in our phones, imagine how hardly we use in cars, maybe on the delivery day just to check and play around with.

Take a look at the NIO ET7 and ET5 that Nio has launched in European markets, like Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway.....also ES7. BYD Seal or ATTO 4 is coming soon (not in India though). Also, X-Peng is there too. They certainly have big and serious plans are moving quickly.

I bought this car recently with the main intention of having driving comfort. But I am regretting it now due to the following reasons.
1. My back is sweating if I drive the car even for 1 hour and there is no use even if I turn on full AC. I am feeling very uncomfortable to drive after an hour and long drives might cause even more discomfort to me. This defeats the very purpose of my buying this car.
2. I recently dashed another car slightly during a traffic jam. The car's technology did not apply automatic break although it was claimed so by the company. So, the safety has become a concern now.
3. BYD's roadside assistance is very basic as the customer has to pay for any damage that happens during towing. In my case, I was asked to pay around 3.5 lakhs for towing damages. Because the insurance pays only for accidental damage but not for the towing damage. So, I am made responsible for the damage caused by BYD.
I did not even complete my first 1000 km. I am now wondering what I gained by buying this car.
