Your videos are so dope! Love how transparent you are. I've been contemplating buying land out in costa rica and your videos are so helpful and informative.
Hey, nice to see that you are progressing on your farm. I have a suggestion for your coffee shading plants. Madero negro (Gliricidia sepium) is often used in Costa Rica. Very easy to plant. Just stick a branch in the ground and it will grow. You can also use Flemingia, Mountain Immortelle or Ice Cream Bean (Inga). They are all legumes, which means a lot of nitrogen for you coffee when you prune the legumes.
Lol this is why I'm buying a turn-key home in a community lol. After climbing bridges for 30 years, giving me the ability to retire at 50 with a 7 figure bank account, I'm not doing a damn thing physically lol
Hey I'm a Canadian and uve been here over 20 years. I think we are in the same fb group. Gringo finca owners or something. If you need any advice as to how things work here, id be more than happy to help you out with what i know.
Are you vegan getting rid of cow space? 4 bucks an hour is a God send as you said. I cant even give my kids my inheritance for any labor help it seems, however they know it aint life changing. Ha. Love the videos so far and have subscribed and liked. Hopefully it helps to grow the channel
I’d like to ask how much did you pay and how much land did you buy. I’m coming to Costa Rica in March for some exploratory research into moving and would also like a farm. Thanks in advance.
We bought four hectares. Prices vary widely. If you are close to beach tbey will be much higher. You can buy bare land from anywhere from 50k to 300k depending on soo many factors. Water and electricity are worth paying for when already installed..but without these the price will be much lower. I can say from all of our property visits that prices range from 6-15 thousand colones per sq mtr..and above for more developpwd american influenced properties.
Minimum wage for an unskilled labouror here is about 12 thousand colones per day. I paid what he asked for. I know it seems cruel. but that is the economy.
Loving your good positive attitude, keep up your good work 🙋♂️
