A rotating Tele handler is the tool to have in construction! Congratulations 🥳 by the way, having driven cranes myself with remote control- one of the most important safety habits is to switch off the emergency stop button (Red) every time you’re coupling something with the remote hanging around the neck, in case you accidentally move a lever- this is especially important at long extensions of the boom were it can lead to big movements….. love the machine
Yeah. A crane operator with remote control died in Sweden couple years ago just because of that. Working alone, was about to uncouple the hooks from his load and was reaching for the last hook and accendently moved the joystick and he got squeezed beteewn the load and the boom. All alone, noone to help, and that coused his death. Very sad.

Indeed. It can be almost anything you want with the right attachments. Boom lift, crane, forklift, excavator, and more.
It looks like the controller has safety bars around it, probably to prevent this scenario from happening.
Funnily enough I just priced one of these this week. I spent 20 years operating vehicle loading cranes(Hiabs). I then encountered Telehandlers I considered wet hiring one to customers But a large crane hire company bought quite a few and started dry hiring them. Fifteen years ago I saw a rotating Telehandler and thought that was the bee's knee's but it was out of my price range. I look at them now and think one would be great to own in semiretirement if that ever happens.
Magni is awesome! I’m running a TH6.10 and it’s easily the nicest telehandler I’ve owned. I love that it has an ultra reliable Duetz engine and is AWD, plus it drives and handles nicely. I just wish there were more dealers.
That is the one of the coolest machines I have seen. That cut your labor time in half. Once you figure out a new stagging process on supply placements the sky is the limit. You add a basket to the forks, and you can go anywhere on the roof. Even squaring up the building. I can see this thing cutting at least two days off every project if not more.
We have a 13 ton merlo which can do pretty much everything. Fork, crane, working platform, remote controll, and about 1 ton weight capacity with the 16 meter arm fully extended horizontally.

I still can't wrap my head around just you two doing these massive builds! Much respect from Texas sir!! I am addicted to watching your builds and hope I absorb enough info to build my own in the next year or so. Thank you for this. Ever since touring the one at the home show in Vegas I have been interested. Two things. Fall protection harnesses and strap on helmets whenever you are off the ground, especially in those lifts. Also, never ever overestimate the bearing capacity of soil under those outriggers. The engineered building footprint bearing capacity may have been established by the geotech. Driving around back of the building and dropping onto field soil is a big unknown. Hopefully the outriggers have an autonomous correction feature. I still love the machine concept.

You should be doing a 360 rotate before any work to verify the set up. Use pads under the mellows own pads if you can but not always possible.
That's awesome, I would use in a heartbeat, so capable and no crane certs. Then remote operation, win win win. Thir rig would pay for itself.
Not just the fact of having it on your jobsite,But this machine could also be jobbed out to help with the overhead costs.I'm sure other contractors or jobsites may need occasional lifts,from tree work to rooftop mechanicals.Very versatile machine.

I had the pleasure of using this lift for a couple of months. It is by far the best telehandler I have ever used.
We have 4 magni telehandlers at my work here in Sweden. They for sure are great machines.
I used to work a merlo roto, had winch, forks, man basket and reach basket which is an incredible tool. You will find many uses for that type of machine.
I have wanted to try one of those for years. I didn’t know they were remote controlled. Maybe the earlier ones weren’t or different brands. Begged companies to rent one or try one out. Most companies can’t see the forest for the trees or care about safety regardless of what they say. I’m happy you were able to try it out. I had not heard of the Magni brand, thanks for bringing it to us.

Wow....I don't even own a building company, nor to I work within the industry, nor do I know anything about building but seeing this amazing piece of kit I WANT ONE !!!!!!
It’s an awesome machine. I had one for about five years, and it held its value amazingly well. It is definitely a force multiplier because they replaced so many other machines and we got bucket attachments, rotating forks, regular forks, jib with winch, etc. We could completely demolish and literally lift houses apart in huge pieces with this unit lower to the ground and then disassemble. So increases safety as well. Your efficiency will go through the roof👍🏻
Post-frame, stick-frame, tree-trimming, log cabins, sign-installation, does it all. Only other downsides: extra equipment to haul/support it, extra vehicle insurance (these are costs you pass on to well-served, happy customers though 👍)

Nice, I have used similar ones many years ago, WOW. All the tech in it is awesome.. I can see the love in your eye's.. I would bet you are going to end up buying it.. By just some of what it can do, more then justifies getting one.. On a large crew that would eliminate the need for so many people, but for just you're two man operation, I think it is almost a necessity to own one, 99% of all your jobs would surely benefit from having it.. Wow this thing is insane.I love this thing ,as a heavy equipment operator and crane operator. Not sure if you run cranes. The greatest lift in a crane is up vertical. The lower the boom the greater the tip weight on the boom and the further out your load is away from the crane the greater the tip weight is closer is always better if possible.so what you experienced was correct on the screen extended way our at a low angel is what you said is about 800lbs but retract back in the tip weight and load now changes the further back you go toward the crane.And yes always hit your stop on the remote to avoid any accidental movement which we all know could be disastrous.all cranes operate the same but the touch and feeell to operate them is all a bit different as you may know. This thing is seriously just awesome and such a small foot print.Have fun with this and hope your able buy or rent with option to buy thanks again for the awesome video
I’d say that machine is sick but that would be underrated! Glad it’ll help you and your crews job easier!
These are amazing tools, very common here in Europe, but our experience with the 39 meters one was not the best. The software has bugs and needed assistance a few times a week. Manitou are a bit more refined, but they switched to Yanmar engines instead of Mercedes, will see how that works out.

Neat machine. The only way I could see you owning this sort of a machine is if you're able to rent it out to other trades when you're not using it.
We had 5 of these on a coke oven rebuild... they worked, but we had the repair guy out there constantly. Vibrations from the machine kept cracking the rad/lines, a/c would lose charge after 2 days, sensors would fail... anyone who's looking also make sure you don't need a crane licence to run one I know more, and more places are going this way because too many people have been getting hurt from improper use of there and sorry to say it's mainly the group you listed... they hop in or grab the remote and next thing its laying across their house.

First thing that came to my mind is that "wait a minute..those can also have a crane winch on the end of the boom to turn it into a crane and you can then lift crane pallet forks and use the pallet forks to move pallets over buildings...that would be handy if you ever indeed buy one"...also make sure you know how big of a hole you can drive the machin into...or you one day end up building it into a building
If you add a winch to it that makes it a crane and you have to have a license in order to operate it.
Well that just made all other telehandlers a little obsolete. I’ve never seen one of those,definitely worth the price.

We had one at SpaceX in Brownsville TX when I worked there. It had a lot of problems with the sensors. Then they finally got that fixed and had DEF problems
If you buy this machine make sure to buy the feet pad extension or have them maid because you deal with muddy condition and it will help the machine not want to sink
The remote control option is killer . Kyle loves that feature on his .
Not a toy but many things to consider. Insurance cost, liability insurance, accident insurance, machine maintenance, operational training costs. Is it cost effective ? Will it make you money ? Need to hire a flat bed to transport it ? Can't lift anything when the wind is over 20 knots.
Will it make you money or just make life easier ? Not wanting to be negative but in terms of safety this is a very special machine. Yes, I am a former Mobile Crane operator and there's a big responsibility taken on when operating this type of equipment.

I've seen $100,000 pickup trucks in dealers showrooms so that machine for 325,000 seems like a great deal. Plus you could own that for 10 years and probably get 50% of your money back..

It also has basket attachment that is used for a manlift. We have already discussed this equipment for our current job site.

The Magni RTH 6.35 is one of the most awesome machines I've ever ran. With 90+ feet of vertical reach and all the different attachments including a boom lift man basket, trash bins, forks, and the jib boom. Used 2 of them out at Tinker AFB building the KC46a hangers. Only real draw back is they are super expensive and require a semi to haul lol.
I work as a flagger. That beeper is so annoying! But it has saved my life and the life of others with different equipment over the years. I have lost a few friends when people have operated machinery and/or large equipment with non functional beepers. People die every year from not noticing equipment moving backwards and get crushed to death. It happens every year.
You can contract to fell trees in yards with it too, there is an attachment grapple saw

well what you need is a local cooperative builders collective. whereby 7-10 contracters each chip in 50k. and you all agree upon a common set of rules by which to timeshare the thing. and prioritize jobs fairly. you would probably also include some sort of penalties system for breaking the rules too. and share the servicing and maintenance costs

These huge purchases are ALWAYS JUSTIFIED if it makes the work easier and MORE PROFITABLE. Tools for construction over the past twenty-five years have been improving wonderfully. Good luck with the new machine RR.

I was impressed (and scared) by the 100+ height, then you wipe out a remote control.....man with machine = job done!
I just sold one to a framer for $275,000. Expensive but makes work so much easier and saves a lot of time since you can leave it in one spot and rotate when picking.

This machine is awesome. For what you guys do on the regular this thing seems like a game changer. Even just to rent out for the truss work and outside posts
30 ton National boom truck op. here, 110' of stick ( which rotates 10' above the ground, so a tip height even higher) with a rotating enclosed cab (the only way to fly), the first thing I did when I got it home (my 6 th. rig, one at a time, bigger and better each time) was put a switch of the backup noise maker, for when, (rarely) have it home. I like the counterweight it has, and it's way (weigh??) back there also from the center of rotation. This think look pretty awesome, but new probably costs more than a low time boom truck AND a low time reach forklift. Still...., especially with a remote, which I had on a 17 ton boom truck, it was a game change. The "how do I get out" thing is a pretty serious drawback. I got my my first 10 ton boom truck 24 years ago, when still building pole barns, shops, and houses. Just for my own use, next thing I knew I was busy working it for other contractors, saw the light, put the hammer down and been a full time crane op since then. Pays much better and easier too, just costs a bit to get set up right.
Awesome game changer. Your going to discover more usages for the remote control ability than you think. Be interesting to know how much labor hours you save on a full build with it.

Congrats on getting one, they’re pretty cool, huge, but cool. Definitely gonna help you out on this build; along w/ some of your others you’ll be doing. Naturally, once you have one of these (or any new tool, machinery, etc…..) you 100% find ways to use it, and also realize just how great it is and how you ever got along doing jobs w/o one…..never fails😉 (like buying a new vehicle & then while driving you see the same vehicle everywhere…..never fails😅).

Once in a while we have a Merlo (which is basically the Frog-version of the Magni :D) on hand and the opportunity to operate this thing falls always back to me because no one has the urge to drive that thing. Even with that price tag ..with all the time and energy it would save you guy's I can't see it not being paid off in reasonable time. With you guy's only building these structures it wouldn't sit that much. I hope it's a part of the team soon:)
