DIY Full Deck Remodel! Why Do I do this! #deck
Because I procrastinated, I ended up with a DIY Full deck remodel! Surprisingly, even I was impressed at how good the new deck ends up looking. Let me know your thoughts below if the design was worth all the additional work and wasted materials. I will tell you this. My wife initially thought I bit off more than I could chew and the deck would go unfinished for too long. Now, she is happier than ever so win for me.

Sure it would have looked nice with the mitered corners but with the railing posts being there, the juice may not have been worth the squeeze.

Nice work, but I found those nice trimmed ends you did, open up with movement over time of a few years, with downward ice/snow loads. I always trimmed mine a hair under, then tapped the metal tab in enough, so nothing could grab it and open it up. I’m not saying you’re not doing an awesome job, to perfect detail, that’s only my little two-cent opinion. Chances are you’ll never have a problem, with how precise you trimmed your tabs. Awesome work man! Finally, seeing a really skilled metal guy! 👍 Please be safe man! I fell 30’ of the roof job I was on, July 4, 2010. I was 40 years old, but now I’m a complete paraplegic, paralyzed from my waist down…
