To all who keep saying that Africa has 54 countries, officially it is 55 as stated in the video! Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (Western Sahara) is the one most people are missing out on the count. It is a country that Morocco is claiming to be part of her territories. But Sahrawi Republic, as it is also known, is recognised as a separate country by the African Union. We think the African Union would know all its members. au.int/en/memberstates For further reference you might want to read this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_Union and/or this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Member_states_of_the_African_Union
u only know.... S.Africa, Ghana, Zimbabwe... what abt d others???
@@worldvideocollection3372 sorry that she couldn't name your country because she was limited by time.
But they've big problems. Because they don't have their independence.

Perfect
yet the white german lady knew the capital of ghana
I am "white" German too, and know it too^^. Actually I know a lot of capitals and countries in Africa :). Btw why is there a rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria? (Seems really hatful sometimes).
@@fjellyo3261 there isnt any rivalry between the two beautiful countries, we have been partners in so many developmental projects which is helping the progress of both nations. We are at peace and its fun to be a Ghanaian and Nigerian like myself
@@fjellyo3261 No rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria, Is just like in boxing any boxer that wants to be relevant will always challenge the world heavyweight champion just to be noticed, Now Kenyans are also crying for Nigeria recognition, unfortunately, we can't carry two stubborn junior brothers at the same time.
@@nenitafrica6851 yes only rivalry when it comes to jollof rice lol and probably soccer.....
Meanwhile Yemi Alade is crying for Kenyan citizenship. FACT!
This was funny and sad at the same time. I live here and wish people knew more about Africa. Especially in my neighborhood!
Carla Kayiba This is the reason why we are doing this. To inform people about Africa and have fun at the same time
Africa Web TV I really like your work! I will subscribe to your channel. It is a good thing that you do this, ignorance does not suit grown people.
Carla Kayiba Thanks a lot. The support of people like you keeps us focussed
Great Video. My heart desire to learn about Africa, I just don't know how to go about learning about Africa, I want to go to Africa not just learn about it here in America. I was born in Jamaica but I live now in America.

American public schools don't teach African history. that's why I educated my self about Africa I know about mansa musa the king of Mali richest person to ever walk the earth and I know alot about Africa.
Big up yourself brother. De colonise your mind and re educate yourself black child
he is not the richest man to work earth but that's good that you took your time , African royalties have great stories

Westerns greet everyone and it's very annoying
Keep fighting my sister! The same the Dutch are trying to do with us! I am from the Caribbean, Bonaire island.
Why ppl generalizes Africa we r 54 country come on !!

Heeeeey Any Zimbabweans here supporting our Sister !!!! Tinewe dear all the way from China
Thank you! Please subscribe and share the video too. Greetings from Africa Web TV all the way to China!
Black people need to be educated about themselves and their history.
Correct!!!!!!
i do agree with you
@KEEM KapAlot Of course you are entitled to take a different view of your origin and you rightly made a comparison about Aborigines etc. However, it is you talking of Africa as "that land" that is getting us to roll our eyes in exasperation! Africa is not "that land" Africa is a whole continent with several lands (55 countries)
@KEEM KapAlot Powerful. When you put your thoughts into words like that one can only respect your feeling and wish you strength. Thank you for taking time to explain your views. If you have not visited any part of Africa, maybe you should. Sometimes all that is needed to validate you is to see people who look like you in their natural environment. It might or it might not work for you. We just spoke to an Ethiopian-Dutch who had a vaguely similar experience as per his true identity. See the link here. You can watch the whole interview on (migration) or you could just skip to 2:00 - 4:00 minutes in the video. czcams.com/video/WShT8VNGY2s/video.html Whatever happens a big thank you to you!
um here 2019 who else is here ?
3:25...even someone from Germany knows more About Africa than our fellow people 😢. This is very disheartening 😪
Before asking them about Africa it's better you ask them about their education..this will definitely save your time and ours
This is embarrassing especially from fellow black people....😊
+timotheus nakashona It is. But seriously, how many of the questions would you get right immediately? :)
@@africawebtv1 The capitals i would had got wrong, but i could nearly name all the countries, and know where on the continent they are located.

Yes that’s true and I happens to be an Ashanti
It can be considered a place too .. Ashanti region .. it’s a Region in Ghana so it a place too
Most Afro Caribbeans, their descendants come from West Africa, like Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast.
Ashanti mostly reflect on the region . And Asante the tribe

AU is an organisation with member countries. Officially and objectively there are 56 sovereign states , 54 of which are member states of the united nations , but 55 officially on the AU membership.
Hope one day someone interview about Africa
Honestly I feel like I know everything hing about Africa
Wakanda forever ♾ even tho am in Africa
Thank you so much for the video iam from Ethiopia
Classic answer: "I read it once but now i forgot". Great.
1:34 I know of 54 recognized countries and two disputed ones. The disputed ones are Saharawi and Somaliland. I wonder which one you counted.
For now we have 55 countries in Africa , because the sudan is two the North sudan and the south sudan
7:00 You have to give it to him the Ashanti region is in Ghana... And it is 'many things'
Presenter has a sweet personality :) In 2019, technically, it's arguable whether there are 54 or 55 countries (fully recognized sovereign states) in Africa. 2 "disputed territories"or "defacto states", I think. But most would consider there are 54 countries.
I better learn all the capitals. You never know when you're going to be approached on the street and asked to name them.
Hahaha. What are the chances of that happening?
It s a shame that African ppl dont knw anything about Africa! There are 54 countries in the continent.
Im from west Africa especially Cote d ivoire 😁.

Hey, thanks!
Are they not intrested to know about a continet they come from ....even if i was born their i would still love to know my roots
they are not intrested in their continet...
They are mostly from Surinam and many were born in the NL, so they are from three continents, which is a lot, right?
Is everyone high in that country or she’s just interviewing high people?
It was a coincidence that 3 of the ca. 10 people she spoke with were high. Not everyone was high.
Before 1994 Africa Was 52 Country In 1994 Eritrea Become A New Country, In 2011 July 9 South Sudan Become A New Country, So Now Africa Is 54 Country . Much Love From Somalia Peace And Love All Africa !

The media lady here is not doing fair...she highlights people who didn't know much.... She should have asked me I'd write her a freaking book.
@S O In fairness to her, all the people in the video were the people she spoke with. So it is not like we left out the very smart answers. In fact we left out the more more ridiculous stuff to protect the integrity of the respondents. Send us a copy of that book once it is finished :)
@@africawebtv1 she asked questions that she herself could not answer....like how many countries are in Africa....and the currency of certain countries...very technical things...I believe most people know more about Africa than Africans may think. We are far past the days where we believe what's just only seen on TV...but back to my point the way this video is edited shows where most people had difficulty answering...I understand that she is trying to imply that people should learn more about Africa and quite frankly it's nice to learn more about such a wonderful continent but seems here it's done by making these men look like retards...and no I probably won't be writing a book although I could..... however in the future I may produce a video or something.
Bro you are not talking straight, that's just general knowledge and u don't need to be supper intelligent to answer such
