    The banbu lab also changed some of my plans, hahaha.I've been wanting a COREXY for a long time, and I was about to buy it and then the X1C appeared out of nowhere.

    Selling my voron 2.4 too once I received my Bambu X1. :D. The AMS is what I'm looking for and it's already included for $1299 shipped. Not just for the multi color printing but also for automatic filament switch when the main spool is gone.

    I am holding out on buying an X1 mainly because I have a deposit down for a Prusa XL and because there will be clones of the X1 flowing out of China for less money very shortly, this machine has shaken up the industry which will make other manufacturers redundant should they not come up with something to compete with it in the Prosumer market.
    I have done the self source printer build myself and built a Pro 3D V-King 400, its a great printer and produces wonderful quality prints and very fast but I have disassembled it in order to build a Voron but have become side tracked by other commitments.

    Very cool design. Would love to build one. Also have the bambulab on order, but there's just something about a DIY machine I love.

      yeah, I think I'm going to just start building it, and see how it goes. I do have an X1 Carbon on order too, but I figure it will probably be a couple of months out, so that gives me some time to do something with the parts I have.

    Does the fan on the bottom of the bed heat the chamber? That's clever!

    • @mikey631
      @mikey631  Před 2 lety

      Yep! that is part of the design on the SnakeOil XY. I believe it is meant to help keep air circulating against the heater, keeping the enclosure hot.

    bad idea to use the stock v0 tool, cooling and maintainabiliy are appalling. Mini Sherpa is the minimum tool you should use
