i played 3 games of reksai top after watching this, 1st vs yone which was easy after 1 item, outplaying his ult with mine etc, 2nd vs illaoi, couldnt do anything, was never able to kill her, 3rd vs chogath and i just perma fought him as soon as he stepped into lane, he ended up getting 2cs/m before rage quitting

I never understood why people didn’t play lane Rek after her ulti got changed to an execute. Bruiser, tank, lethality, she could do it all, it was insane. I wish I had the game knowledge to get to Diamond or higher when I actually played the game. I tried Support Rek’sai at one point, but I could never get a team that didn’t just run it down and say km trolling before the game even started.
While I think it looks dominate right now, I think the win rate is really just a reflection of people being knowledge checked by Rek' Sai since its such a historically underwhelming pick rate and people lack information about the matchup. Like any sustain top, counters typically revolve around ranged tops or early heal cut. I am sure in about a week or two we will see her win rate stabilize down to 51.5 - 52%
