Just a heads up, walmart sells all the original products for the price of the dupe at CVS. For example, the eucerin advanced repair lotion is 9 bucks at wallmart, and 13 bucks at CVS
They always provide coupons for CVS and im like omg what a good deal. Then I realize that coupon makes it same price as Walmart lol

Ok ty I just posted a comment abt this, I looked on amazon to the Neutrogena cream for example is over 5.00 cheaper and has a coupon and other discount.
CVS is more expensive than Walgreens in my town and I always considered Walgreens the most expensive drugstore. They upped their prices a ton this year. I go to Walmart for everything now but even their prices are getting ridiculous.
My GAWD I genuinely don’t think those employees (or the customers for that matter) should have to listen to that auditory assault.
I think my favorite CVS dupe right now is the 4% benzoyl peroxide wash which replaced PanOxyl for me. The consistency isn’t the same but it’s fine.

Saving people lots of time and money Dr. Dray! I'm so glad I've learned so much from watching this channel, because I can confidently know what's what and what's worth getting for the results. I feel a lot less overwhelmed by the options and know what ingredients may help with what. I feel sorta like a tool sometimes about it lol, especially trying to explain any of it to my mom or how the sun damages no matter the amount of time. She thinks I'm too young to start anti-aging but I know it will also help with the tone and texture of my skin.

Exactly my thoughts except not young. I think I was on tretinoin before a wreck I had. Got a TBI and other injuries so forgot about more than just wash up and moisturizer but am back on track now! I have been following her for 6 months.

BTW, could you talk about the ingredients in the Clinique laser repair wear eye cream??? It's the only one that actually works for me but it's too pricey.

Differin gel has really helped the back of my hands! A couple of large dark spots are still there but smaller and lighter. I have been using it about 5 months so it is slow but works. The Neutrogena has worked too on my face. 6 months and it is getting rid of wrinkles
Would you mind me asking if you tried Differin for aging well - reducing fine lines and wrinkles ?
@@kristinna8910 no problem 😊 I really haven't as I was using the Neutrogena but I may just try it later. I have dry skin and am 69 so I didn't know if it might dry me up even more!

I love a thick body moisturizer on my face, also I become a friend with Vaseline for a couple times a week:) All the best with your skin care goals and journey!
@@kristinna8910 thanks and yes to vaseline. I noticed that Eucerin moisturizing cream has petroleum in it too so have been using around eyes before retinol and it works well. Good luck to you!

Exactly. I’ve found CVS is usually not a bargain at all, as all items are less at Target or on Amazon. I never shop CVS anymore due to their high prices, unless you’re interested in their 360 beauty line.

Thank you for doing/sharing this video! Been waiting for you to do a CVS walk-thru! As a CVS shopper, this info is very helpful. My nearby CVS does carry the vitamin C products from Vichey & La Roche-Posey. Expensive but needed. I'm a CVS rewards member so I get mailed to me their 25%-off coupons which helps to save money on FULL priced beauty items. Side note: Walgreens carries the Avene products but not all of them.

I’ve used Vichy and I like their products. Because they’re made in France, they don’t contain a lot of the garbage ingredients you find in some drugstore products here in the US.

I have been seeing a lot of people probably did not apply sunscreen rigorously or moisturize. Sunscreen and the appropriate moisturizer for your skin type and condition are truly underrated anti-aging products. They work slowly though so consistency is really key like exercise and happiness.

I think I have not seen you talk about the Gold Bond products and as a Sensitive,Rosácea,Eczema and Melasma patient;is one of the best brand I have ever used.Very unnatractive packaging I may say but the products are fabulous.The hand cream has urea and panthenol.The body lotion has 2% oatmeal,7 other moisturizers amd 3 vitamins.Relieves dryness,redness and itching very well.Consider making a video about this brand and try them because in my opinion they are really underratted.They are fragance free,dermatologist tested and accepted by the Nat Eczema Ass.
I believe she did a brief review of the eczema one in one of her shopping videos from a few years ago. She likes their Pure Moisture and even the Overnight (melatonin) though she does say it has lavender.

A lot of the gold bond ones have fragrance or menthol especially the anti itch ones
The comments I've seen from some re: Plexiderm is that it's water-based and works as long as you don't apply anything over it that's oil based like makeup for example. Someone else whose done comparison videos but for more expensive products is master esty Penn Smith Skincare.

There is a Target brand dupe (Up & Up) for $1.98 and it’s just as good as the Vaseline brand. It also has the eczema seal so it’s great for sensitive skin.😬 Just thought I’d share the savings. $$

Thanks Dr. Dray. Can you also do a video about the ingredient Resorcinol- I noticed it as the main ingredient in La Roche-Posay Pigmentclar Dark Circles Eye Cream and claims to have "targeted action on melanin". Also, an updated Trader Joe's skincare haul would be cool :)
If you go to a site like incidecoder, you can do a copy/paste of that particular ingredient and get a breakdown of what it is.
So helpful! I spent hours the other day shopping for a moisturiser with sunscreen that would be best with Tretinoin. I’m in Australia. The staff kept asking me if I was ok 😂
The CVS prices are so high because they are assuming you will be using the loads of coupons, discounts and extra bucks rewards to pay a fraction of that. It’s the same at Kohl’s (former employee). You should never pay full price because it will definitely go on sale and you can combine it with a coupon.
Sorry Dr Dray, love your videos but I’m Canadian, don’t have access to CVS and even if I did I wouldn’t go to the store because of that annoying noise! What were they thinking? Those poor employees 😢
I stopped shopping there because they refused to check you out and want you to check yourself out. They have someone standing there to watch you check yourself out, but that person will not check you out. I think if I have to check myself out, I should get a discount. But since there is no discount, I just shop at Walgreens now. Walgreens always has people to check me out.

I might check her videos on mature skin. Angie isn't the only 50+ person (or near that) to use multiple products, devices in their day/evening routines and that's not including the additional procedures.
I don't have the patience for all that stuff. I wash with a liquid hand soap, then use a mineral sunscreen for daytime and a moisturizer at night. All of the other stuff takes too much time in addition to too much money. I'm 75 so I'm beyond radical help at this point.

I remember AmLactin was at Costco for a fraction of the price. But I haven't used it recently so it might be much more expensive now.

I'm just going to put this out there, as a woman in her 50s going through menopause, with fair skin/not so much collagen now, none of the anti ageing stuff works! Waste of money. Just moisturise/occlude your skin, that is the best. Drink lots of water, wear sunscreen and get good sleep. You are not going to fix your skin with products.
Kristen Krascek: I disagree. Retinol and/or Tretinoin absolutely work and make a distinct positive improvement even over simply moisturizing with a quality moisturizer. What works for you may not work for others. AHA/BHA products also work extremely well for exfoliating, the difference is night and day for my skin and millions of others.

Hello Dr. Dray. Speaking of Retinol, would you share your thoughts on ‘Retinol A 1%’ (Life Flow). I have been using it for over an year and can see the difference now on my face. My skin took some time to get used to this 1% concentration but your videos helped a lot to get through the ‘retinization’😊😊. Also, I started using ‘Skin Aqua’ (Japanese Sunscreen as I live in Tokyo) everyday even when I am home. Thanks to you again. Keep generating awareness and more power to you. Lots of Love❤️❤️

There is a very gentle silicone face brush on Amazon (HieerBus Silicone Face Scrubber) and it’s great if you have very dry hands and using BP or SA face cleanser makes it worse. They come in pairs so you can scrub them together to create a lather or just to have one in each hand.
I've learned that daily sunscreen actually reduces age spots that are ALREADY there on your skin. Can anyone explain HOW that works ? Like what mechanism in sunscreen causes the degradation of age spots??
I use the Dr Brandt No More Needles version of the under eye firming cream. I like it better because it has a bit of peachy tint to it. I found that the PTR and Plexaderm were leaving a white cast. I’ve noticed that when I use the creams consistently I tend to get milia under my eye. Do you think that’s related?

That Vaseline advanced repair has fragrance too, it’s just not on the ingredient list as “fragrance”, it’s listed as ethylene brassylate
Hmmm. There used to be a fragrance free version. Maybe they changed it? When I look online I see it says unscented and not fragrance free

Hi Dr. D. I love your channel! I’ve recently been diagnosed with dry eye and I’ve been told tretinoin can damage meibomian glands and to stop using it/it might be attributing to my disease by drying up those glands🫣. I’m so sad-I’ve used it for 15 years and have had great results.… I need a dupe recommendation please! And Thank you 😊
There is no dupe for tretinoin, any retinoid will be contributing to the dry eye and nothing topical comes close to retinoids. Procedures in an office would be the way to go I guess if you are bothered with anti-aging.
