      Sam Reynolds I called you a racist because you insinuated that all black parents don't teach their kids. Who are you to conclude that. You do not know me nor my family. I can say the same thing about you and your family. If you look in the news across the country, every single mass shooting is performed by somebody raised in a caucasian home. What are your thoughts about that? To give you more clarity about my home, my mother is a traveling Respiratory Therapist and my father is a Chemical Engineer. They both graduated from Clemson and I graduated from VCU with a degree in Anthropology with a minor in physics. I am currently in graduate school to get my PhD in Proton Radiation Therapy. I am 25 years old you are not my parent and do not need to correct me on anything. I've never lived in the projects but I see you grew up in the trailer park. And I'm too much of an intellectual to dumb myself down to enter the "Marine Corps". Go run a couple miles and carry a gun while research and treat cancer. ✌🏽

This didn't even start until the afternoon on Thursday. So what would you do if you were told to prepare for one day and nothing happened. And on the day it actually happens you're already at work. Stop judging people unless you know.

I don't know what line of work you're in, but most people go to work around 9AM or earlier, and the flash flooding started around 11am. I also love how one guy in a city with over a million people gets a pass for saving his "stupid" worker, but the rest of us are dumb for going to work like usual. 😆 keep living that sweet judgemental life, buddy. Must be nice to be so smart. Do you also shout at the homeless? "You should have just stayed at home!!!!"

I even tried some back roads and where way to flooded to pass.So I was stuck at a road side gas station for 9 hrs coming over a night shift. Which totally sucked. I believe New Caney got 20 inches of rain that day. It rained more in one day that the 2 to 3 days when Harvey hit us.

      @joanridgeway3674 Před 4 lety +1

      domb NOLA is below sea level. They flood because of seawall and hurricanes, levees fail. Houston is above sea level and mostly cemented water cannot get to the ground until overflows and runs off to find ground (dirt) to absorb it. Bowl is hard and has a lip for overflow, so slowly it fills up then eventually flows over finds ground and runs off to be absorbed.

      who causes it in Pakistan, in Mozambique, in Japan, in the Bahamas, in England, in New Hampshire, in all of these places where these slow moving dumping storms have been happening in the last 10 or 20 years? The oceans are a huge reservoir of water that gets raised into the atmosphere by heat and gets dumped periodically. IT is really hard to imagine anyone being able to control that worldwide.

      It is impossible to do. Lots of heavy rain combined with creeks and rivers overtopping their banks. There's no way to hold back hundreds of trillions of gallons of water. No weir, levy or wall will work on it when it is over a widespread area like that.
