Did you know that we rewrote “Nightchild” and turned it into "Purple Heart"? The reason we changed the concept and the name of the track was because we wanted a war history topic for the “Primo Victoria” album. This was around the time when we were still trying to figure out what to do and how to do it. It was tricky to rewrite this song and some people were disappointed as they had already heard it as “Nightchild”! When we play this song live these days, we now play it as “Purple Heart”. Which do you prefer?

Strangely enough, out of all the songs in all of the albums, this is the one i like the most since it’s the one I resonate with the most.

Both "Purple Heart" and "Night Child" are good. I prefer "Night Child" when i am just head banging, "Purple Heart" for honoring our fallen soldiers

I always thought the line was "through a madman's eyes" instead of "there were madman's lies"
I enjoy both songs and both seem to be underrated mostly cause its a rewrite but also clever as well. Nightchild is my favorite song from.this album and purple heart is one of many favorite songs from Primo Victoria

Its made as one of the non-historical songs of early Sabaton. Its not about a real human history. Its a theme for Konrad Cunze from Warhammer 40 000 universe.

@@bestevaar7195 oh they have improved. But they still try to be fancy with their graphics. But if you ever hard to hold a power point presentation you know that being fancy constantly is getting dull really quickly. Do it once or twice at most.
The section where the screen can be busy are the sections where everyone already knows the lyrics, namely the chorus.
But NEVER animate the text someone is supposed to be reading. If the text is moving, zooming, flickering its just a pain.
