  • So, im almost 2 months since i started playing piano. And damn its so hard to "improvise" and create stuff..
So im glad i have a piece of music that have followed me since a kid. Its Beethoven Quasi Fantasia - known as Moonlight Sonata
At first i felt it was impossible to stretch my pinky and play an octave as smooth as this piece requires.
Then i felt it was ultra impossible to follow my left hand its parts while keeping the right hand doing its thing...
But now, its rather easy to memorize patterns and keep them moving while advancing.
Im still stuck at the end of this video. Its like my brain is still deciphering before it can play it. But repetition helps a lot.
Ive played this too much by now lol
But i feel proud. I like it so much that im actually playing it. And everytime i do, i find new things to improve.
    1) my posture. I know. I should sit farther.
    2) my left hand feels tense - stuck in octave position
    3) my right hand pinky looks like an antenna to "keep it away" from accidental playing but its not necessary
    4) soft-touching the keys - i think my piano control needs that maintenance that is pending because if i play too soft it doesnt make any sound so im forced to overpress it (again, cant compare to other piano so im not sure)
Anyways, any other insight or voice of courage. I'll be glad to read ❤️
If you are starting out, and need some help learning piano.. here's what I've done to speed up my process: Learn To "Sight Read" The Music Score.
I know it sounds intimidating. but it gets easier as you practice more. once you learn connecting the notes on the sheet and the keys with your fjngers - you can start practicing literally any piece of music.
Here's a course that made it so simple:
    • Secrets To Sight Reading Digital Course

    • Speed Reader

it took me a while to accept the importance of "reading" music. but since i did, i felt a huge leap of improvement. and ive found a community to ask questions and receive further encouragement + feedback.
what do you like the most from piano? why do you want to learn?
its therapy for my brain. having Asperger's, fhis is my next fixation and i love it. it brings peace to my electrical brain. (and helps with memory too!)
