Literally the opposite is true. Borat was offending people and getting banned from countries in 2006. In 2020 that same country reversed its stand and has pretty much made Borat a national symbol, if not a tourism campaign at the least 😂

I really think he's doing a great job revealing people's hatefullness and crazyness, by being a brave clown in the midst of different people - politicians, religious people, porndirectors, criminals - you name it. What he's doing is very unique, he's using his sense of humour and himself as a tool to expose alot of different kinds of people that usually seldom get exposed to the masses.
What I see is Borat and Sacha are two completely different person. That's how good he is.

I was at a grimsby town football match when he came to watch while researching for the film. I thought he looked familiar but no one seemed to react. Then some people started telling him he looked like sascha baron cohen but then they realised he was because they tried to approach him and sacha's 'friend' stopped them getting any closer
