Most irritating chess video in CZcams. Levy, let them talk. You talk way too much anyway...
PIN OF SHAME!!!
pin of shame 😮😮
So I'm not the only one who found this irritating. haha
I'm super-impressed that you managed to watch every single chess video on CZcams, in order to make such an assessment. Props!
Day 16 of asking for the Fischer-Korchnoi rivalry video. Thanks. 💯💯
I would never have thought that Levy would explain to me what an interview is.
Hhh
😂😂😂😂
Thank god he did I was lost
Well it’s important that you know what an interview is
What ”explain” means?
I like this one:
Grischuk: "I slept half of the game. I don't know what I was thinking. Then when I woke up, I see I only have 6 minutes left on the clock."
😂
Magnus' reaction to Vishy's comeback was golden
You can see Magnus look down when the reporter asks the second question, like Magnus knows there's disrespect being thrown, and then Vishy just SMACKS that reporter right back and Magnus looks up with a smile
Magnus gets frustrated by these stilly questions quite a bit, I am sure he got a kick out of seeing another great, especially one so respectful as Vishy, point out how silly it is to ask a competitor what amounts to "You lost by being outplayed. How will you win next time?". There's really no better response than the one Vishy gave. Next time you try and outplay them instead.
It's not fair to compare Grischuk interviews with anyone else's. Grischuk's interviews just speak for themselves.
Like the chess?
Water speaks for humanity 👀
Proceeds to lose every interview for the rest of the tournament.
Wait.
@@neerajgupta1068 water speaks for humidity
@@mikhailgromov5223 You're not wrong.
Vishy in the second interview: sarcasm speaks for itself
his speak speaks for himself.
...
I'm so tired of myself doing this joke..
Chess speaks for what he's going to have for dinner tonight
im ngl still it hurts whenever Vishy's loss of the crown is brought up 😭
@@yaboirogers6342 yea but it's a sport and a perfect game of chess with perfect play aways be a draw so... I understand
"The interviews speak for themselves"
"Hey Mr. World Champion, do you think before making a move?"
@@alessandrocanal6184 No, I think about dinner :D
They sure do! czcams.com/video/6T6LRnqHJfU/video.html
That Ivan Sokolov quote hits different when you've experienced OTB throws firsthand. I had an OTB game against someone rated nearly 500 points higher than me where I had forced mate and I knew I had it. I wasn't having a great tournament and this was the last game and would've ended things on the highest of high notes. But up 10 minutes to my opponent's 10 seconds, I inexplicably blundered into mate myself. I had never been so beside myself. For the first time in my life, I thought to myself "God, I need a smoke/drink." I remember texting that quote to my roommate before I went to bed that night. That game was 6 months ago and will never not haunt me.
For real. Once i was in first place against some 30 people and up a Queen for a rock against the second seed who was an older man with a much higher rating than mine. The guy went for a kind of foretress and won on time and I just couldnt recover from that and the tournament went all downhill from there
Ouch. Well, on the plus side, sometimes you win those kind of games. I had black against someone of similar strength to me in a pretty lively middlegame. I managed to win a pawn and literally blunder two pawns immediately afterwards. My opponent was one of those guys who struggles and strains with almost every move and, although he had me going backwards, he started to press, thinking that because he was ahead in material, he should be winning for sure. The stress of trying to win a better position got to him and he hung his queen.
@@dash_r_media I do that all the time.
yeah gotham, we european just spend our days chilling in fields with horses, you nailed that one
Yea like fuk is that correlation lmao
To be fair, in Europe there is a horde of young girls obsessed with horses and this is basically what they are doing
Yeah! Obviously Europeans are not horse keepers. They are just disabled 😎
@@TheImatrixix when you have p.e you can see a lot of girls jumping around like horses. It was really funny.
@@TheImatrixix what are you talking about xd
Niemann: The chess speaks for itself.
Magnus: And I took that personally.
it would seem he took a lot personally
He didn’t take it personally he just happens to be rated 2850
He took his chess personally too
@@ElevenElevenElevenEleven He opened with a3
@@mathieuaurousseau100 i see what you did there.🤣
Maybe an honorable mention, something along these lines:
Q: "Who do you think was the best chess player ever?"
Magnus: "Me, three-four years ago."
I know there has been some context with which Magnus tried to explain his choice, but for me it is still a pretty savage line.
Also, Fischer definitely had some very bold statements.
wait what does Fischer's bold statements have to do with chess?
@@reelgesh51 i like when i break a man ego
yeah fischer had some bold statements such as "America deserved 9/11"
@@reelgesh51 Fisher had bold statements about chess too. Like "what did you think of your opponents move?" "weak"
LOL Fischer had some really spicey takes my man.
IDK if you'd consider it an interview but Magnus during round 5 of the Candidates was on fire while commentating on the games.
Ah yes the “be a fucking shark” line is iconic
yeah he talked about it already
1:54 Time traveler: "Magnus will play a3 at the Sinquefield Cup"
Lmaooo
Would like to point out in “The chess speaks for itself,” Magnus beelined straight past media with his head down. Really added to the quality of the clip.
Magnus?
*Hans
@@vinesthemonkey Yes Magnus watch the clip again
Give me a video Link please
I just cant get over how hans was born in 2003
...
I feel like an old man..
@@AntonioInnocente kids these days are being born older right from the womb @_@, they have moustache and everything down there
@@harnageaa kinda facts i got my hair everywhere pretty early
Same with Alireza, who's on his way back to 2800
wait he was born when
@Sijenkai It is actually a thing, yeah. There are different theories about why but in general puberty starts earlier for people now.
Vishy lost to Magnus in game 6 and ultimately lost the match.
Nepo lost to Magnus in game 6 and ultimately lost the match.
In 2018 Caruana missed a win (mate in 30 LOL) against Magnus drew the game but ultimately lost the match. (Blitz tie breaks)
Game 6 speaks for itself.
I don't think anyone other than stockfish can figure out a mate in 30 in a championship clutch match.
@@akramansari885 everyone that knows knight and bishop endgames can..
(one side has a knight and bishop and the other only a king)
@@vincejeugmans8941 I see!
@@vincejeugmans8941 pretty sure it was much more complicated than that in that game
@@nischay4760 my guy, i didn't talk about that match, i just said that knight and bishop andgames are more than 30moves. also knight and bishop mate is fairly complicated for new/intermediate players
The grin on Magnus' face when Vishy slams the journo 🤣
the chess has to speak for itself because hans sure cant explain it 🤣
Hey Levy, an update video about all the talents like Abdusattorov, Erigaisi, Keymer, Praggnanandhaa an so on would be nice.
@@jul_wac no
@@jul_wac now now if you know chess at anything deep level then you must know these players and another thing respect other players because there is one of these strange name "R. Praggnanandha" who defeated your pro "Carlsen" so respect others dude. Don't be some milk drinking kid in a grand arena and yes I request levy to give this guy a pin of shame as well as the title of noob
@@jul_wac Stranger than Hikaru Nakamura or CaruAna?
@@spandanmishra6101 wow two halfwits dudes arguing against each other
@@swarnavabanerjee4112 let him be he is just a drunk guy who wants the pin of shame so just let him heck the arsh of magnus and hikaru
Now this is the content I like! Love it, great idea, hope to see more of it! Nice little breather from packing loads of chess games in, I'm here for it.
I think that Magnus knowing how the knight moves was the most Savage Chess Interview.
I love the way that Levy makes comparisons and anologies with UFC and chess, really cool
The last one was truly priceless. You could feel the man’s emotion
Loving how you manage to merge drama with good chess content😊
I feel something is misssing in my day when i dont watch a Gotham chess video. You re the goat Levy . ( Happy guy when i watch a Gotham video)
For me, the last interview is even better than "chess speaks for itself"
This is the best compilation of interviews I have watched on chess. Also I finally understood what was being said in Anand's interview.
Really enjoyed this format! Great video
Guessing “the chess speaks for itself” comes up
I was right.
@@imamasterbaiter6645 how is your reply 28 minutes ago but the comment 19 minutes ago
@@bloonsfamily2066 He went to the future found out levy included the interview, went to the past to reply to himself. I dont see any other logical explanation.
@@pianissimo7121 There is one more logical explanation, which is most likely the explanation. I guess you are blind because
HIS COMMENT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF
Vishys answers make me admire Nepo even more for his amazing behavior in the tough interviews in the last WCC.
Oh I love this channel. Top 5 most savage interviews and the games linked to them. Quality
This should be a new series. F**king hilarious 😂😂
the last one was shocking, never seen before and was surprising to watch
Awesome content, Levy! Thank you for sharing xxx
You are a great story teller. I'm sure you can keep me glued to the screen watching paint dry. You are amazing
I was hoping for an honorable mention to Andrea Botez “ Question for Magnus, how does the knight move?” 😂😂😭
The best interview so far is Chucky’s interview when he analysis the whole game without even looking at the chessboard
nice video!
my favourite is this one:
Danny Rensch "would you like a lesson in bullet?"
Aronian "Bullet is fun, but there are other fun things that can last more than one minute"
That’s a long time
You may be a great chess player (a great teacher you sure are), but no doubt, you’re one hell of a great entertainer! The best chess CZcamsr ever!
"you gotta be good at predicting the future to be good at chess"
been playing chess since 2008 and never heard this, its so accurate.
Absolutely enjoyed this... This was a masterpiece video
Underrated video this is so good
nice levy...you deliver so much good stuff☺
oh btw, in starcraft in korean gsl, foreign interviewer asked a question in english and translator John said "thats a stupid question, I'm not asking him that" that was so funny
Idk if you ever read my comment on the other video talking about Niemann but absolutely love how you went over a great game against Magnus without getting into any of the current drama. Takes a lot not to. Great video idea - keep that up man. Wish you all the best!
Love your work!!
Your content is the only thing I can depend on for helping my mood rn since Federer’s retirement hit hard
🤦♂️
Epic
I play tennis but come on federer was only a person
It's not like some GOAT like Nadal or Dokovic retired, Federer was just an average bloke.
@Tara Bartholomew Yep, can't imagine why anyone would give a shit about either one, except to laugh...
Of all the great super GMs, is there anyone more calm, humble and peaceful than Vishy? If you've got him upset, chances are - you're the one at fault...
That draw was worth the amazing quote
Magnus trolling the interviewer after Hikaru played the bongcloud is obviously the best one.
link?
I recommend Mr Dodgy's courses on chessable. There are two. The Bongcloud opening book was published on April 1st, and the Eric Rosen "Oh No My Queen" compilation is wonderful too.
Thanks bro
I remember the Maurice interview. It seemed like that was the moment Magnus stopped taking criticisms so seriously, like he got a lot of flack for his response, and it changed him.
All interviews from Ding are LEGENDERY
0:39 I like how levy's view of Europe is really just fields and horses 😂
i gonna live a thousand years... i love how levy quotes it exactly with I grammar errors
Great work!
Also loving your content keep up the hard work! 🔥
lmao
Right when I saw the Title I knew Hans was gonna be in this video saying “Chess speaks for itself”
Great as always
Grischuk interviews are all pure gold!
Lol 🤣😂😆 a water bottle he was urinating in, you crack me up, oh my goodness I laughed so hard LOL🤣😂
I thought at the end he said "I'm gonna leave 1000 tears." He looked like he was gonna cry.
I was waiting for it. No surprise you saved it for the end.
I had my doubts but the last one turned out to be the best one lol
Grischuk pulling a Fischer card. Gotta love it lmao
That Sokolov's interview in the end got me
I love this so much.
The Sokolov response is an absolutely savage mic-drop moment. Nothing more to be said after that one. Absolutely epic response.
Let's see if he still regrets the game in year 2500. Oh wait, we probably won't :'(
“This hasn’t aged very well.”
Man just described Bobby Fischer without realizing it.
This was a good one Levy.
As someone that also likes to use suicide sarcasm, I rewatched the last clip at least three times and laughed all the way through. 😂
"The chess speak for itself" will always be number 1 for me
Hahaahahalove that you have sokolov here, still remember him and gary representing bosnia in chess ❤
you should 100% do most funniest interviews cant imagine there are many but if there are would be cool to see
If he did that it would be just a compilation of Grischchuk interviews
There is a really funny Dubov interview where he explains why he hates the rapid time format the most. It should also be said that Dubov was once the rapid world champion.
Love your content
Enjoyed it...Thanks.
I hadn't heard that Sokolov line before, my god that's good haha
Chess speaks for itself. The most classic line in history
Nice content levy
Me before thinking of all Magnus carlsens ‘My fav player is me from 3-4 years ago’ 🤣
i know that's random and unrelated asf but i love the cut keep it up
Loving the UFC reference. Bobby Knuckles is my favorite fighter
Hans in a rush to get those beads out.
Well.. Chess speaks for itself
I would have liked to hear more of the last interview with Magnus
Hi gotham. Please do the. “Must avoid top engine move-challenge” versus lower rated players. You can decide the exact rules. Could be fun
I really like the history content , so much fun
My favorite interview is when they asked Magnus and Fabi their favorite players and Magnus said himself from like a couple years ago
Love the vishy interview
Bruh Hans was like an anime MC during the interview.🔥😂
"chess speaks for itself"
"What was the thinking when this move was made"
"Duh duh..."
I like these react style of videos also hanz Neiman is so funny
I can’t even handle the pressure of playing a live game online. I can only handle playing daily games.
And I’m just someone who plays for fun.
Can’t imagine the pressure of playing professional / over the board chess in full view of everybody.
It always catches me off guard when the MMA analogies come out 😆
I've never actually watched the hans clip till now. It's so great lol. Totally get why it's a meme now
This video cured my depression thx
The last one is brutal man XD
It's funny because I got into UFC around this time last year and I've been loving these UFC references
Honestly I think my favorite and most enjoyable CZcams channel. Who woulda thought!

Least depressed chess player.
