Solas just called him da'len? That means "little one", and if you've played as Lavellan you notice that the keepers of Dalish clans refer to the Inquisitor that way (I assume it's something they use for younger elves). By all appearances you'd expect that Lavellan and Solas are close enough in age that neither can use that word for the other so that sounds a bit like a hint at Solas' true age

I understand the hostility toward Solas by the Dalish. Imagine your whole culture being nearly erased, and your people subjected to centuries of oppression. So some egghead can lecture you about how everything you believe in is wrong, and how you should live your life. Would you want to hear those lectures, or would you tell him to leave you alone?
Nevermind that it was that same egghead who caused the destruction of the Elves to begin with! Solas has some nerve mocking the Dalish for even trying to cling to an ancestry lost because of HIM!
It’s like that conversation where he asks you what you’d do if you suddenly found yourself in a fucked up world, and you can answer with something like “I’d just do WHATEVER I HAD TO to fix it.” And he’s like “slammin, thanks for the reminder that the ends justify the means, friend! ☺️” And then you replay it after Trespasser and just sit there feeling ✨concerned✨
Why did bioware wrote a DALISH Inquisitor to be so ignorant about their own culture is beyond me, and even worse if you play as a mage given how you are the first of your clan

Instead of Morrigan explaining Mythal to someone who's been following Mythal (among others) their whole life & might literally have her signs tattooed on their face
IKR. I'm really confused when I played What Pride Had Wrought with my Dalish Elf Inquisitor yesterday. In general, Dalish Inquisitors should have known the elven pantheon. If Bioware gives us the choice to choose four races, they should have been considerate to the lore to be applied to the MC's background. I'm kind of disappointed at Bioware at that.

@@sheevpalpatine2989 aaah it's the other way around got it! I do agree, especially because he just sounds way too RP for a Dalish elf. And that's the only species where it's really hard to make a face that wouldn't be jarring with the american voice (though I dislike that voice one more than the british so that wouldn't help me anyway). But I kinda think Gareth would be wasted on the inquisitor haha. With a properly developed character like the companions the VAs can have characterisation in every single line, and Solas is pretty much made by those little things imo. But you have to leave the Inquisitors at least a bit ambiguous. Must be pretty annoying for the VAs tbh. For example, I love Alix Wilton Regan's performance as much as the next person, but I had to alter the personality of my canon inquisitor to fit it. I'm totally invested in her now but I still feel salty about that. By contrast my male inquisitors are usually fine with the british male. (Well I haven't done an aggressive jerk so that would probably be the end of that versatility, but still.) I have just started a naive andrastian vasoth and having a gentle giant with that voice is very entertaining.

It's just formalities, really.
Solas is probably older. To start, the inquisitor called him hahren. He also called the elf on the measuring the veil mission da'len.
He's physically closer to Blackwall's age, which is probably 40s
