    My wife and I have watched your channel since beginning of May, from starting over episode 1 to this last one you posted last week. Took us about a month to watch them all. We absolutely love your channel. We have a 7 month old baby girl so we spend our time around 7:30 pm, giving her a bath, 2 story’s and then hugs and snuggles for a few minutes and finally to her crib. Once she’s down, we can relax and turn on the TV and watch 2 episodes. We finally watch the last one you posted yesterday. Your channel is the only one we watch together. I’m from the Northwest area. Seattle area. So I can appreciate the challenges you two face with the weather elements. Looking forward to your next video.

    Your garden looks great! I've gardened here in Maine for 30 years. What started out as about 6 Jerusalem artichokes has turned into a frustration in that they've multiplied several thousand times over and cannot be stopped, pretty much like a weed gone amok. Another plant I have to keep thinning is my chives. They would rule the garden if they had their way. Don't get me started on raspberries....lol. But I'm impressed at how beautiful your garden is and look forward to seeing it thrive under your love and care. Thanks for sharing!

    Well, NOW, I'm curious. When Nichole was walking down the road with the selfie stick, the camera caught several glimpses of power poles along the road. There appeared to be a pole just a few hundred feet from your garden. SO, are you guys OFF GRID by CHOICE? I mean that's great! It's certainly OK in my mind, environmentally. I just thought it was necessary because there were NO UTILITIES available.
    Love your videos. Especially the garden. Great idea to put the tomatoes in the tires. Also like the way you are replicating the fruit trees. You're correct to want trees that have already adapted to your area. Bravo!

    • @anikathenaturegirl5880
      @anikathenaturegirl5880 Před 4 lety +2

      They told everyone in the first off grid episodes that if they wanted to get power they have to put in like 10k worth of poles to bring the power to where they live it is just at the very edge of property there are two but not in use so basically yes by choice they want to do what is right for the environment and inspire others.

      They are not really off the grid, they live near a small community not too far from where I live. There is power near where they live and a lodge not too far away. Where do you think that they get an internet connection to be constantly uploading large video files. I am definitely not a fan of Jake using half naked pictures of Nicole to draw attention to his videos, not in the true spirit of martial arts. I am a student of traditional Martial Arts and have seen people stripped of their rank and forbidden to enter any of our dojo's and Jake's using Nicole for bait would not go over well in our style. They have other social media sites that are pay for view and from what I have seen I certainly would not subscribe, the content is not what I would feel comfortable viewing. This you tube channel is interesting but it is designed to make money to support their lifestyle. Do some digging for yourself.

    The tires are also great for growing potatoes because it raises up the soil giving them more room to grow. I am interested in how you are going to add logs and soil to the raised bed where you planted the potatoes. Hang in there because before you know it things will get better. Since you can’t chop down trees right now you could be weaving green tree branches to make your trellises . Do you need to put netting on the fence to also keep out birds and other small wildlife? If I was younger and not disabled by multiple spinal cord injuries and complications from multiple surgeries, I would have loved to be able to do what the two of you are doing. I still have relatives living in various areas throughout Canada. My Great Great Grandpa immigrated from Belgium to Manitoba where he helped establish the city of St. Pierre Joly and ran both the lumber company/mill and general store with his sons and other family members who came after he had built his homestead. I was wondering if you planned on creating a green house whether temporary or more substantial using clear plastic or plexiglass or some other translucent material which would extend your growing season to possibly year round?
