I'm from Hawaii and we LOVE to make hurricane popcorn (mochi crunch & furikake) you should try the original w/o the powder.
I could taste the furikake and the mochi crunch was great. I'm sure without the powder it's even better! :)

Mmmmm...hurricane popcorn is my favorite snack. Growing up in Hawaii, I believe it's safe to say that all the local kids love that stuff. Popcorn and mochi crunch is a staple at all the movie theaters here. LOL!! I've never had the kim chi flavored popcorn before, but I'm interested in trying it out.
I've never heard of hurricane popcorn before until I saw this. But what a great salty and crunchy snack! It's pretty addicting even though I couldn't stop coughing. :)

Hurricane popcorn!!! I live in Hawaii but I haven't seen that particular flavor in stores yet!
It's very smokey.. like a chiptole flavor. It was so expensive though! $7 for this one bag! :/
AngelaMinjiKim they probably charged you more because it's the Mainland? Usually when we have sales at Long's, it's cheaper. I'm not a fan of the smoky chili flavor, so this won't be my jam. Better to throw in mochi crunch and furikake into nice buttered popcorn and eat regular hurricane style. Ooh I think I'll send you some local Hawaii snacks in the future!!! ^_^
I was looking up furikake snack recipes and saw one for Asian chex mix/ furikake chex mix. OMG it looks soo good!

I wouldn't buy the kimchi flavor again because I don't really care for the smokey, chipotle flavor. But the popcorn is good. I would recommend getting the original Hurricane popcorn. :)
