7:49 I really want indian parents (specially my parents!) to understand wasting Rs. 20 lac+ for marriage is unnecessary. I do not need a house for my parents, but if they save that money for their healthcare expenses, it will be of great help for us. Unnecessary photoshoot and food is where they are ready to spend their hard-earned money because they think their respect in society is directly propertional to the amount of money they spend in their children's marriage. It is a sad reality.
I have a daughter of 7 years, already bought a 2 bhk house for her now. She just needs to earn her bread when she is grown up so that she won’t have to depend on her husband’s income.
Sir, I'm gen-z and 22 years-old and brought the property. However, one advice is very true in this video whenever we're purchasing something we should approach only those things which we can afford. I wanted to buy a big house but that was not coming in my budget, so, I thought let's purchase whatsoever is coming in the budget because something is better is nothing.
I'm 39 and I bought my house at 25 and repayed the loan by the time I was 32. I went onsite and saved as much as I could. Now the problem with the younger generation is two fold imo. 1 there is huge discrepancy in earning. Some are very intelligent and earning a lot at very young age and some are average and they get frustrated with that. 2 is comparison with others on social media. Most compare how others are living and get depressed that their lives are not up to the mark. Going forward this comparison with others is going to have a very bad effect on mental state. My team members who are 25-27 want to spend 1 lac on iphone when their salary is around 30-40k. Buy a 15k phone and reduce your expenses and buy a house. If you have your own house you can be assured that you can atleast earn enough to have food. Without a house you are asking for trouble.
Totally agree with you sirji ... From my experience I can tell that for marriage to succeed in long run you need a brand new home with ownership of both the couple + a baby in next 3-4 years.. this 2 things will give you a sense of belonging and will form a base for strong bonding.. believe me without this 2, love alone won't last longer and a big fight someday is enough to blow away that love
My father educated all his four sisters and then married them off, bought two properties plot in two different cities and built home in his govt. teacher salary and yet to retire and here I can't even afford living in big city with family without being drowned in debt😔.
Summary - Make priority to buy house, Spend less than 5lacs in weddings, and use that money. If you don't live there, then may rent it. Provides social security. Save money to buy a house at normal price. Not high aspirations of 1-2 crore villa. Instead start at 50lac house. Use 10-20 lac savings as down payment. Take rest as loan. Buy at good location, not in ghost malls or buildings, or under construction for long.
A very informative video! My parents have followed all the things that uncle has said, avoiding unnecessary expenses throughout their life and have recently bought a house in my name with zero debt. I am the only child and am incredibly lucky to have such thoughtful parents in my life. Due to the thought process they follow, even I am not a spendthrift and think about me and my future children before investing. Some may find it a bit too much, but I believe that today's savings are tomorrow's earnings!
Millenials ke saath bhi yeah problem hain... Salary utni hain nahi. Parents ne toh haath khada karliya hian... Padaya likhaya khud hi kahreed lo boldete hain.. In-laws toh paise ki baat karte hi patli gali se nikal lete hain.. Humhari beti kharch hogai bas unko sukoon hain.. Ab hamari jimedari khatm😢😢. Aur wife bhi utna nahi kama rahi ki down payment kar nahi sakte. Baki sabko toh lena dena nahi hain. Rent dena is so much painful.. Aur value bhi add nahi hoti.. Life maine.khud ka ghar in big cities is a new sukoon
Yes, sir, I have decided to remain unmarried. It took me 45 years to get a job because I was from a core engineering background. I live a simple life. But I take a 2,3-week leave and just travel our beautiful country. I will say that one should only start a family if they are financially stable.
Thank you for making this video sir! You are absolutely spilling truth bombs here…Saving on marriage expenses can be a good head start to buy or invest in long term assets. I am 30 now and I got married last year and also bought a house with my husband. Having a good job and also having a good saving strategy between the couple or as a single person can help you in long term. The world today will tell u to buy a lot and splurge on unnecessary stuff especially for women but please only buy if you need something not because u desire validation or to give a an instant dopamine.
Yes sir... I lost my parents when I was small. My elder sister and relatives help me graduate last year. No I entered the corporate world which offers 20k..i wonder what an individual will do in 20k in urban areas.... I'm struggling to rent a house in 20k.i dont know how I would buy my house. But you motivated to have hope.. I am currently focusing on upskilling myself and pursue higher education too...... I think now a days people should be an all rounder....... Cannot depend on the salary that we get in this era of lay off
I am 1989 born hence not gen “ Z “ generation hence I was having influence of my parents while buying a my first home at age of 26 years. I bought my first house i.e. 2 BHK for 90 lacs in mumbai Kandivali West in year 2015. It was 26-27 years old property. I was having salary 47 k and in hand was 42 K, my dad paid half of the amount of the price plus extra 7-8 lacs paid by me and rest was home loan. The moment I have taken a home loan I was agitated to boost myself in career and all the time I used to think of home loan repayment. Because of this, I am currently able to have 36 lacs CTC at the age of 34. I am able to secured one property in Mumbai, currently beside our society other buildings are going under redevelopment hence probably tomorrow my society if go under redevelopment then can able to get 900 carpet three bhk for cost of 2.5 crores. My wife is also having similar mindset , me and my wife’s together income is 60 lacs hence we thought of booking second house in mumbai only and booked the same for 1.92 crores 770 carpet 2 bhk in ultra luxury project. Current market price is 2.2 crores for this new flat , we invested 1/3 rs amount as down payment for this new house and planning to close the new home loan of 1.25 crores in next 4-5 years. So, home loan made us to be concentrated or be focused on your career rather than wasting money on luxury things . Hence , take a home loan and buy your own house
I am from Gen Z and I am going to a buy property in this December in a tier2 city With proper financial planning anyone can achieve whatever they wish to do.
Sir is savage. Bura lage to lage, baat kadvi hai lekin sach hai. Spending 20lac in marriage maybe not, but buy a home for 40lac give 20lac down payment, emi is now 20k. Salary 1lac, 20k emi, live happily.
Instantly subscribed, thanks for the invaluable advice. I'm buying a home at the age of 26 in the outskirts of a hill city for between 30-40 Lakh. I can do this because I work from home and earn equal to a Delhi-ite.
Watching these financial influencers, I always used to doubt myself about my real estate leaning biases. But after watching this video dil ko thoda sukoon mila.
भाई, आप तो बाप है... जबरदस्त clarity in thought process... Yess you can rightfully claim no. 1 spot not just in real estate but in giving practical life guidance to young and old.... Very intellectual and full of wisdom. Thanks 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻...
My father is not educated he barely went to school.. But he has really good financial knowledge our top budget was 5 lakhs... For both of my sister's but he spent less than 3 lakhs
The most practical Advice , admist all the noise on the internet, this was something really important that i needed to hear ❤Thank you so much sir .....
Betiyon Kae leye Ghar.. Very right! We did this and you are one of the few, providing affirmations to those out of box thoughts. God bless you! Infact like yours we have son and daughter. Doing same for both. Equality comes first here, then may be there. We agree!
Let me Confess listening you for couple of months now and honestly speaking keep on smiling through out as if I find you in self , I completely agree to all your opinions and I too advocate all your thoughts in my group , sir I have a daughter and purchased a property for her way back, wishing you a healthy and long life so that you can influence generations....
i totally agree with you sir, I'm just a few yrs older than the GenZ but in a position to buy a home bcoz i have saved and invested in appreciating assets, Genz unknowingly spend thier money in depriciating assets and materialistic things.
We cannot control situation but we can adjust and create our destiny. If you don't flow like water, Indian with no ancestor property, money will be crushed. Work hard, develop skills, understand economy, save tax, do business or move out of India or become politician(not recommended) and have a good life. I bought home this month following above guidance.
Video dekh ke kafi tension me agaya, but phir yaad aaya ki maine toh 10 saal pehle apna khud ka ghar construction karwaya tha😂😂 Believe me, sirf house rent se free hone wali baat nahi hoti, you get community, stability, peace of mind, invitations from society and overall a social life. Can't compare with a rented house.
Sir you are bringing the true picture... I belong to GenZ, I understand each & every points but our parents don't understand. I think, Indian Parents should understand first. They think if we purchase a flat, it means, I am separating themselves... How can we make them understand? Moreover, few parents are too toxic! If we are taking any help from them, they used to taunt us badly. If we have self respect I must say, purchase a flat first from your own money then plan marriage, else stay single always
Agree, majority would end in debt trap.....baap dada property walon ke liye hai RE. According to government policy 3 to 4 times of annual income comes under affordable housing.
Kya baat Kr Rahe ho Sirji….agar parent Shadiyo p 20-25 lcs karch nhi Krenge to society m parents ki wealth and reputation Kese pata chalegi… (parents thought) And ye kharcha baad m jake married beti k liye problem bn Jati h…..
Sir, you are the best coach as not to opt government sector jobs wherein if you are in same status of pole over average and below average alongside topper does follow the same paths and get involved over these sectors to maximize their career into better position of life which ultimately into hardest dark side of story which you told in one of your video.

This is what i was thinking
Daughter ki marriage mein paisa mat waste karo
Ghar de do usse
It took 3+yrs for me to repay my marriage debt, what he is telling is correct.

I can agree with this mindset. House is something that gives you pride. Smartphones last 3 year house lasts an eternity

So called educated people in our Society (samaj) just simply refuse to think logical and rational.. This fact amazes me alot !!
Instantly subscribed, thanks for the invaluable advice. I'm buying a home at the age of 26 in the outskirts of a hill city for between 30-40 Lakh. I can do this because I work from home and earn equal to a Delhi-ite.
