One of my ABSOLUTE favorite parts of Professional Wrestling... is this! The way they protect one another. The thought, and the love they put into the job for their opponents. I smile every time I noticed a protection during a spot.
The look on Randy's face when he realized the fate he'd just saved himself from is one I know all too well. Been more than one time where I've come far too close to an unhappy ending. My favorite instance of wrestlers protecting each other is one time when the Undertaker was in some match (can't remember what or with who), he realized that there was chair laying right where someone was about to land. He was on the floor and all he did was flop his foot onto the chair and slide it out of the way. Its my favorite because it's such a tiny thing and Taker made it perfectly look like he was just selling.
It was during a 6 man tag match on Smackdown. 2 of the men in the match with Undertaker was Big Show and Kurt Angle. At one point Angle went for the Angle Slam on Big Show and it's at that moment that Taker moved the chair with his leg so Big Show wouldn't land on it.

Wrestling is an amazing industry. They have some of the best entertainers and athletes on the planet and I'm constantly floored by how far they're willing to go to do what they do. I have noticed something though. While the stunts are getting higher, harder, and faster, it seems as if it's kind of lost something over the last 10 years or so. Bret protecting Shawn even though they had a really heated and personal rivalry. That's why those two are the GOATS.
They all are professionals, but Cesaro is my favorite, incredible strength and on top performance. He should have been one of the top stars.
And did a little high flying until that Sheamus match
1:43 I felt that. MJF got rocked😂
Of course, with us finding out more and more about the long term effects of that level of abuse to the body, I wonder how long it will be before that industry dies? I'll be sad to see it go, but I think it's inevitable unless something major changes.
