I'll never forget sitting in my classroom in 7th grade for three days after the Jeff Hardy pyro incident, unable to focus on *anything.* I was so scared. That being said, I really miss the pre-social media times where we didn't know the answers and secrets behind everything. That's when I'd definitely want to tune in every week. Especially when Kane jumped on a chair that was wrapped around Shawn Michaels' neck in 2004 and he bled everywhere. Scared the hell out of me. I'd do anything to be 11 again with all that wonder. All that shock factor molded me :')
Learning that WWF/WWE was scripted is one of the most painful things I ever experienced. Always felt it was real and always waited for the matches, only for the internet to come and spread the word that it was scripted.😢.
A lot of real moments happened including brawls if that helps. Tons of wrestlers went off script and threw actual punches and you can see it in the matches. Wrestlers even get hurt and retaliate with more intense moves. Not everything is scripted and the moves really hurt.
I remember watching Brock/Big show match, even with BS helping by pushing off, that takes some serious strength to do. At other side of the coin, BS has pretty good ability to throw around his body, that ring break especially. Mae Young was a tough little old lady, more so in her younger days.
two of my favourite moments. The ring one I thought was real then inspired the "fake" times since and the Mae Young one I kind of saw her squeeze bubs hand.

Well that and in the first one kane was laying on floor with his arm under the ring ,taker followed paul bear over to the concert stage which made camera and the live audience follow them it allowed them to put the flame retardent sleeve on
This is why i still admire them even after i found out that they were all scripted. The ability to perform perfect stunts while still able to mind the safety of each other need a hell lot of focus and concentration. I mean, hell i can't flying dropkick my coworker while thinking which point of his torso i should kick to inflict minimum damages. But these wrestlers did both at the same time like nothing.
The Brock-Show spot really made me think as a kid that both of them had rested in peace in that damn ring 😂 Then you see Brock just get up and walk it off like it's nothing 😂😂😂
Learning about how the ring falling apart just completely ruined that match for me. It was completely believable due to all that weight falling from that height.

There are lot more.. Its crazy even after knowing all this is scripted and staged still so many people attend the show in the big arena wherein I don't think so everyone would be able to see clearly the wrestlers wrestling. 3) They didn't. It was supposed to be sugar glass, but the production either put in regular glass or lexan which is used to make bulletproof glass. It's why when Angle threw Shane the first time, he bounced off the glass and landed on his head. The second slam was Kurt Angle throwing Shane into the glass so hard it shattered. Someone was fired after that event.
