@@killianobrien2007 Kingbdubz said that they will add an Option whether you wanna Update your Current loaded chunks to 1.18 or not. Then when you're playing in 1.18. The new Generated chunks will go down to -64. If you decided not to update your Current generated chunks in 1.17.
It will be depend on Players, how they wanna update their world.

@@bell2023 I wasn't 100 % sure if tnt would work because I haven't tested and the tnt might have exploded too quickly (I am most likely wrong but I couldn't risk giving incorrect information in my comment). On the other hand tnt minecarts interact when they hit entities and can affect them from up to 22 blocks so I was more sure it'd work.

I guess my idea of raidadle, would be more so players stealing from others. Sure, using this method it can get blown up, but it's quite difficult to actually steal

unfortunately most of this wouldn't work in bedrock edition because there entities take damage anywhere below the bottom of the world (any negative height now, or below Y=-63 from 1.18 onward)

@@TheMisterEpic Slow falling was first added to Java Edition in 1.13, and since servers such as 2b2t stopped updating at 1.12, you likely couldn't use a void base effectively on these servers.

it’d be legendary to imprison a Warden down at -126 once 1.18 comes around. Who knows what the final product of the Warden will be, but if you were able to keep a Warden confined, why not someplace just as legendary, the void?

@@arandomdudeontheinternet4199 It's unlikely but it may be possibel to have two layers of shulkers, where the bottom ones are right side up instead of upside down and thus make it so neither shulker can open

I remember using NoFall once, and for some reason the server wouldn't let me take fall damage afterwards even if joined with the vanilla client.

The only thing that can kill a players in creative mode
/kill: so you have chosen death.
And Creative Kill Potions.
Nothing can kill creative players in bedrock edition
before 1.8 or 1.7 when you used the /kill command it used to say that you fell out of the world
Instant Health 125 is bugged and it kills you even in creative.

With the new shulker reproduction mechanics, this might be more viable in survival than before. Have enough afk farms above you for the bare essentials, to drop them into hopper minecarts, and you have yourself a complete survival base.
if it wasn't for the glitchy rendering in the void, I would legit attempt this on my next playthrough, making a huge platform of shulker boxes.
not gonna lie, if first person rendering works correctly, at some Y level, like -32, I would actually legit take on the challenge. Also I'm surprised I didn't see any mention of 1.18 and what would happen to your void base if that world would get transitioned

Early world rendering had holes in bedrock that were sometimes big enough to allow players into the void. I remember my first world had a hole to void below my base. This was before the nether was added.

Couldn’t you get down to the base by just getting in a boat and dropping down? That would make it easy for anyone to get down without a slow fall potion as even if they didn’t have a boat all they need to do is get a few logs. Getting back up would be harder tho you would need either an elytra, fly hacks or an enter pearl stasis chamber that could be timed to activate after you have enough time to raid the base.
Edit: more methods to get up and down in replies.
Actually I didn't think of that, although I know that getting a boat down there wouldn't possible if only 1 bedrock had been broken

maybe a totem would also help since minecart dont suppress fall damage
There are other methods I can think of to get down but boats is definitely the easiest.
2. Nofall hacks could be used,
3. probably ended pearls but I’m not completely sure I’ve never tried to pearl onto a shulker,
4. if the player had totems those could be used(very common on anarchy servers),
5. with feather falling 4 and full prot 4 at full health the player can survive 103 blocks if the player doesn’t have all these enchantments a god apple could be used (very common on anarchy servers),
6. a horse or pig could be used to mlg (just boat but more annoying to actually do) not sure if a pig could survive but a horse should be able to,
7. logging out before you land on the platform gives u 3 seconds of invulnerability to survive the fall
8. If you just wanted to raid chests you could set up an ender pearl stasis chamber perfectly timed so you have enough time to raid chests and then teleports you somewhere safe. I would recommend using tripwires to make sure timing is perfect. Using a hacked client (I know this feature is in impact not sure about other clients) there is even a steal button that makes reading chests faster. This method would mean not having to land on the platform shulkers could also be killed with an axe while falling.
9. Elytra
Another obscure method to get back up is by using a glitch in an old version of Minecraft where a fishing rod can be used to remotely activate a enter pearl stasis chamber. czcams.com/video/1RcDyAG6PCM/video.html
Another method to get up would require a lot of boats but in theory you should be able to create a boat tower to climb back up. This would mean a full inventory of boats wouldn’t get you up 62 blocks but it would work for based higher up. A dropper above the bedrock could also give a constant stream of boats to climb up.
I can’t think of anymore run but there are probably more methods.
Also small correction to intro the potion effect absorption and health boost effects the time it takes to die in the void. Absorption can be obtained with a gapple (totems do give it but it only lasts 5 seconds so it probably isn’t very useful. I know it can’t be activated from void damages but a perfectly timed tnt or arrow shot could theoretically activate it). Health boost would need to be paired with regeneration or instant health.
Edit: technically slow fall also effects how long it takes to die. Although it will mean you go less blocks down before dying.
Also if you got the levitation effect you would be able to survive until the effect ran out as you could just use the bedrock to stop yourself from exiting the void. I haven’t tested it but it might be possible to get a setup where the is a shulker that can constantly give you the levitation effect. This could be done by either being targeted by a shulker on the bedrock with los to the player or with a shulker in a boat below the bedrock.
I haven’t tested any of these methods this is purely theoretical and some may not work.

@@celer1926 I got 5 shulkers of totems in a normal survival world without duping, so I don't think totems are exclusive to anarchy anymore, we've got tons in normal survival with raid farms.

There is a new way to build in the void that I’ve been waiting for for so long I thought I would have to wait until 1.18 was officially added until they allowed you to load snapshots so what you can do is create a 1.17 world and then a 1.18 world so the 1.17 chunks will have higher bedrock then you go to the edge of the 1.18 chucks mine down and then you can even build with actual blocks no shulkers and mine art chests

So this would be incredibly easy to grief as only a few TNT dropped down the hole would kill the shulkers.
Now we just need docm77s shadow items to constantly give you gapples. Then, you can fly around in the void with an elytra and never die even below y64.

heres the problem with having a hidden stash below bedrock in multiplayer, you would have to find multiple shulkers in the end, use piston flying machines to bring them all the way to the center of the end, go through the portal, hope nobody is at spawn, then push the shulkers one at a time to where you want it to be, then hope they didnt patch breaking bedrock through a plugin, and pray you built the machine correctly or you have to try again. sounds like a cool project on something like scicraft, but idk if that would ever be possible on an anarchy server lmao.

Getting a shulker down to - 62 accidentally happened to me in the end dimension while I was moving shulkers around.
I had the shulker in a boat in a Minecraft and I had it go off the tracks.
When looking down I noticed the skulker so I went flying down but as soon as went 1 block under the shulker with my elytra my fate was doomed.
I guess that the Minecrart and boat died and made everything exit above the damage zone and the shulker somehow exited there.

Anyone else who remembers the bedrock removal glitch with dark oaks? I remember how I found this out by myself while testing around, but it was fixed in some later version. The way this worked was that you placed dirt blocks or dark oak logs directly above four dark oak saplings, and bonemealed them. The tree would still grow, but its branches would grow downwards with the log blocks replacing every block that was there, including bedrock.
One possible option for construction of more substantial structures in the void would be to stack boats on top of the shulkers in a staircase formation.
This would make a very secured prison. I think if you only made an ender pearl chamber if you want to get the prisoner out of the void and some kind off machine that spawns you on a trap door splashing you with a slow falling potion then sending you down again to the cell everytime you die would prevent most of the players from escaping. Of course it would require building threats and having somone to protect the prison and stop other players from the outside help the prisoner get out.
Any deeper and you will start hearing the "Multiple leviathan class creatures in the area, are you sure whatever you are doing is worth it?"
It's probably been mentioned but DocM on Hermitcraft has built a machine that lets you escape the void. I don't pretend to understand WTF he did, but it's very clever.

After doing the trick where you are able to "place" the shulker at the deepest Y, Do it repeatedly. Then roll a chest on minecart there and you can keep your very valuable items there to hid it from your friends maybe.

I KNOW this probably has been said but…it goes lower.
If you choke god apples and use elytras you can survive even below y = -64.
Example: The Channel „IGoByLotsOfNames“ has done this in a video where he did some crazy farming to get ender chests full of god apples(in a version when they were craftable)
And went on to survive in the void for one minecraft (?) month.
I know this aint practicable AT ALL but i just wanted to say this if ya missed it.

You should have thougth more about the inaccesability claims, I'm pretty sure it would be possible to go down there with a boat, if not with a totem of undying, or just good armor and notch apple
I think some of the next few updates Minecraft needs are a parity update and a consistency/improvement update. I feel like Minecraft is adding new and amazing features to the game, but I still believe that there is enough room for improvement that Minecraft should take an update or two to make the already existing features so much better or just fix small annoying things. To make all features to be the same for both versions, Minecraft developers for both editions could have meetings and decide how features should be for both versions. This would be things like deciding if to make the boat crafting recipe on both editions 5 wood planks or 5 wood planks and a shovel. Or things like should cooked cow meat should be called cooked beef or steak. Another reason Minecraft needs a parity update is so we can have cross-platform play between java and bedrock, making more multiplayer fun without additional add-ons! Minecraft needs a consistency/improvement update so we can make things like the command block texture symmetric, glazed terra-cotta blocks line up in a pattern, dispensers working in cauldrons, endermen taking damage from water cauldrons, water cauldrons removing fall damage, giving a use for chainmail armor, etc.
