To address your query of what changed in her game from the last few years. I have been watching her for the past four years and there are several changes that I've seen and heard her speak about. She was very good but lacked the consistency from match to match and within matches. She was without her coach at any of her matches except the ones in Europe nearer home. That only changed around two years ago. She would talk about having a videographer film her matches which was at around the time Renzo accompanied her on tour. They would analyze her play, she spoke about enjoying that and it helping her a lot. She strengthened each aspect of her game. She's gotten much fitter this year. She's been an absolute joy to watch play and evolve her game.

I'd not even heard of Jasmine Paolini until this year, which is why I was surprised at learning that she's in her late 20s already. I love watching her play. From cursory analysis, she's an excellent mover on the court, which I feel is her biggest strength. She's got an ATP forehand (like Swiatek and Kasatkina) and very solid two-handed backhand. And she plays a smart, all-court game, which is very unusual for a shortish player. The most eye-catching thing about her is her joy on the court and the fact that she smiles a lot. Reminds me of Jabeur and Carlitos and Tiafoe. I've joked recently to my friends that she is the greatest hobbit tennis player ever. ;)

Time is a sort of convention.
Let's be focused on what's really important: everybody's improvements, or 'click' or 'miracles', whatever.
I love her determination to win or better say:
her extremely determination not to lose.
And above all, and let's dream this, if she plays a better tennis, day after day, step by step, bit by bit, point by point - and with that 'aggression', and with that unconventional height for tennis -, she'll be remembered as the Maradona of tennis!😂
      She gives me JOY!
      ❤🙏

@@timothylee2772Paolini went to RG final beating Rybakina among others in the quarterfinals, and Andreeva the new young star in the semifinal. Navarro had just destroyed Gauff when she was destroyed by Paolini.
Considering the no 5 in the world Ms Paolini as being inferior to others, even those ranked lower, is naive. Why would that be? Because she is short? She can beat anyone though in a bad day without a powerful serve it is more difficult for her. Today she had little serve and did not play well but won anyway the Wimbledon semifinal.
She was not there before, to answer the people in the video, because some players grow in technique and confidence, some others go down in both. Mind is very important in key moments, but also intelligence of play and hitting hard, having the technique, and much more.

@@timothylee2772there's an old saying that goes "the harder you work, the luckier you get". Ms. Paolini has worked very hard this season, it will be a pleasure to watch her raise another trophy, whichever way the final goes. Sad for Madison Keys who may miss Paris as well if recovery isn't quick. But it's unfair to suggest this win was handed to Jasmine at all.

The one prediction I got right in tennis was that Paolini would get to be a top10 player. She already had everything in her game, she really only needed consistency and the marginal gains a player can get even later in their career. You said Paolini was a good draw last year (and she was, since she lost R1), but actually her trajectory had already started to go up, and she'd shown she could improve by battling it out with even there best players. She'd chosen to have her coach with her at most tournaments, and to play every week with Errani, who's basically her supercoach by now and who helped her a lot with confidence, volleys, and having the right attitude to actually win matches.
Her "good draw Paolini" time was actually the moment she laid the groundwork for slam finalist Paolini, and I'm so happy she made it because she's a joy to watch and she really does bring something different to the WTA, especially now that Ons is not at her best.
In the end, when she got to the final in Paris last month, I knew it wasn't the end of it. She had all the tools, and she'd learned how to use it. Now, whether or not this will remain her best season, she really can be a menace for everyone, and not by chance.

There are two pieces of data about Paolini that are amazing. The first, she reached the final in the same year at RG and Wimbledon. Listening to those who had succeeded in the feat before her, one understands that it is an achievement of a great player. The names mentioned were all No. 1s and tennis legends.
The second fact is that before this year's tournament, she had never won a match at Wimbledon. We can say that she learned to play on grass this year. She has implemented her play on this surface with ease and simplicity.
Paolini has tennis skills from a great player. These are innate and built with work over the years. She is still increasing them because her play has improved after RG. We don't know where she can get to. Her smile will tell us.

They are the owners of a bead & breakfast in Wimbledon. Krejcikova stayed there for the first time in 2015 with her mentor Jana Novotna, they randomly came across it. The owners are very nice so they became friends over the years and she gives them access to her matches when she plays in Wimbledon.
