Last year i catched two of these grasscarp's in two days 🙂. Also hooked from the tail. Each one of them, above 1m. The second fight took me more than 25 minutes 😁 Greetings!

Yeah, it’s a good spot. In the last years it’s getting worse because of the sediments. 10 years ago that spot was a dream ... my personal best for wels catfish I caught it there. It measured 252cm and was a dream. Cheers ...

I’m fishing exclusively with artificial baits for more then 25 years ... I knew it was a carp but not the exact name of the species. Thanks for letting me know. Yeah ... it was a nice fight, too bad I don’t have the first minutes when it was really crazy 😂

thanks a lot man. yeah, the Salmo Thrill for me it's the number one in asp fishing ... all seasons except the winter time. the size ... for me the best it's 7cm and any natural color it's OK. I usually goes with the RBL. Cheers mate ...

Your rod is really nice for Asp fishing. Does it cast small crankbaits far?
Hey mate. Yeah, that rod it’s perfect for some lures, most of the lures that I use for asp. But I wouldn’t say that works very well with crankbaits. The rod it’s quite stiff and have a fast action, for that I would recommend it for minnows, lipless baits, topwaters and off course softbaits. Cheers man ...
@@AnEm_Fishing Thanks for the reply. Yes, after watching more of your videos, I could see that you jig with it as well and quite normally too. The tip action is quite nice for a big river like Po. All in all, I was very impressed with how the rod opens under load, great curve.

@@AnEm_Fishing I guessed it was the Po It has some giants in there! The size of the wells catfish is scary. Italy has some of the best fishing in Europe. The North is full of lakes with many rivers. So much potential people here In England always talk about the fishing in Spain, Italy is ignored for some reason, My father Is Italian, my parents have a home in Lombardia I will need to bring my lure fishing gear next time I come, are you based in Piemonte ?
@@gez1972 ... yeah, there are some nice spots in here to fish. Next time take with you some of your fishing gear. For now I live in Emili-Romagna and "share" a big part of the Po river with Lombardy. I see your great trophies on asp. I am wondering if asp would hit a duo pencil (65mm /110mm) on top water. Would you mind to try it?
I haven’t tried it but I caught enough asp on top water lures ... and most of them on WTD. If I’ll find it in a shop I’ll give it a try ... also because I lost my favorite top water lure for asp, that was 65mm . Thanks for the suggestion mate 🤘

Without any doubt, my favorite WTD lure for asp, is the Jackall Water Mocassin ... most of my top water asp I caught with this lure. I have tried some other lures, like Lucky Craft Sammy, some Duel that I don't remember but none of them was as good as I wanted. So yeah, for me the Water Mocassin it's the best that I have tried. Right now I'm searching to buy one but I can't find them. Anyhow ... speaking about topwater lures, if you fish in small spots, small river, try to use the OSP Bent Minnow 86 ... that stuff it's great. But only in small spots where you don't have to cast it far away ... because you won't be able to do it :). Cheers mate ...

@@AnEm_Fishing I have afstreet fishing net with telescopic handle closed it’s like 80 cm open it’s 3 meter rubber coated and you can hang is over your head on shoulder most places you can keep is closed but on the concrete walls of a big channel it comes in handy or water with many plants near the bank you can net it in front of the plants and it’s thick rubber so it acts as a protector when you net it keep it in the net you can lay it on concrete or that wire from you’re video not to be bitching but I think you also share my opinion fish well-being goes before our needs and experiences
