The AI is thinking "what, as a kid, would I want to eat?" where the kid is thinking "what, as a kid, can I put on this food to mess with the guys eating it?"
Basically true. I work with little kids. When they can make their own food they HAVE to eat, it's simple stuff. When the can be silly and NOT eat it, they will get bonkers!
Yeah, I think there was some direction from Vi, to go nuts, for entertainment value.
I agree, AI has all the recipes and was just choosing either recipes or flavor combinations that suit children. That would be cool to have as a parent.
very good take
You have the same pfp as me!
What they failed to consider is that children can have malicious intent 😂
They will either screw with you or make something to sweet
The thing is, AI will also trick you and make jokes. It already knows how to lie convincingly.
Nah. They were told to do it. If they were told to make up any sandwich that they would like, it wouldn't have been an interesting enough vid. To me, this was just not it. I like it when the guys are challenged.
Kids be all like: Empty the contents of their stomach and turn it into a soup or sandwich. Just like the Military used to do.
@audiwaj4651 you haven't been around a kid for a while huh?
I work with little kids. We have gone to markets to get ingredients and made various foods to make and eat. They never went crazy because they knew they were going to eat it later. They need to try this again and tell the kids they have to eat their own creations. When they can make their own food they HAVE to eat, they will choose wisely and usually do a great job. When they can be silly and NOT eat it, they will go bonkers!
Ya there was lack of direction and instructions on what to do. I always made the weirdest stuff as a kid if I didnt have to eat it. Even I thought that the kids were just supposed to be creative not see if it tastes good
They said “we’re going to do ‘this’ and then we’re going to taste it”
@@pinheadlarry2921 yooooo it's you ive seen you many times before haha
When I was a kid I asked my stepdad to make me a 16 cheese soup or something ridiculous like that so he went and blended EVERY single cheese product in the household into the food processor and turned it into a soup. Talkin dorito's, cheese its, cheese whiz in a can etc. Never made that mistake again. 🤣
@@pinheadlarry2921 no
I want this done again, but i want the stipulation being that the kids make something that they would eat.
Yes! See I was thinking that through the whole thing, is the kids are just trying to be silly and make something crazy not actually something they would eat.
They almost had to try the first dish but I'm pretty sure they didn't because they didn't show it
Without their "Auntie." Keywords. Without help of any kind. Auntie...Get outta here, V.
And Link shouldn't be allowed to cheat in the last round.
Have them try it too
I think rather than catching on to the AI, they were catching on to the fact that most children, left alone to invent food, will not make good food
for real
I learned that AI is going to take jobs from kids.
@@internetonsetadd 🤣
it also didn't help with their auntie encouraging everything they did as if it was well executed
Vi going "That looks so good!" While having a look on her face that says she's glad it's her bosses that have to eat it, and not her.
they all put their bosses through so much, its so funny. If only we all could do that😂 glad they let their employees have so much fun
How did they not realise that kids will just GO HAM on everything? That should have been their guessing strategy.
Seems like they did realize it after the first round.
maybe because they think masterchef junior is a thing
@@jaclyn.h.3031whiskey-_3 don't forget the whipped cream. lots of whipped cream. Lol
@@Kankuroofthesand1 isn't that the guy from Halo
@@john.glasscock 😭😭🤣🤣
Rett and link roasting kids for 20 min is amazing. They did not pull punches lol
The kids were definitely wanting to make an art project that looked cool. Flavors were an afterthought
They should have the kids make the AI one too. The AI ones looked too neatly made as well 😂
100% agree
I don't think they served them the ones the kids actually made. Vee was writing down what the added in the first one. The kitchen remade them for the show. You could tell it wasn't the same one the kids made by looking at it.
@@lisao7600 yah, otherwise I’d be very impressed with those kids tbh
Me- “god damnit Link it’s not that hard to remember what you’re voting for!!”
Also me 90 seconds later- “… wait”
It became like manual breathing when they mentioned it so much
That kid hitting the whippets like a champ
This is what I came here to say… he’s doing whippets on CZcams like it’s no big deal… 😮
That would explain the recipes then.
@@hideyourloveaway128it's not
thats what i was thining loll
I want to see an Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader episode in some way.
Now this a great idea!!
Purple Stains needs to be recorded as Rhett & Link's new hit song! 💜
It's a RHCP song lol
Prince appreciation 💜
@@NaruTheBlackSwan i’m pretty sure it was a purple rain reference. not rhcp
@@NaruTheBlackSwan no
@@antattackBAM it's on Californication. Back half of that record.
I say put Josh and the mythical kitcheneirs to the test see if they can take the same ingredients the kids used to make a good version of each meal
Oooooh, I like this idea :D
This would be fun!
I feel like the kids were in more of a “go ham” headspace, than “someone is going to be eating this” headspace. I feel like we need a redo where they try it, too, and taste test along the way. 😊 Because kids are capable of amazing dishes, they just need to be communicated to in the way they understand. ❤
Nobody cares because this isn't Masterchef Junior.
But she told them several times they are going to eat it later. If you look closely, you can see Rhett and Link are eating recreations of kids recipes 🙂 They probably filmed kids cooking days before making this episode.
Link cares about winning. Rhett really doesn't care...but man, he loves his rules.
What I'm saying is Link is a kid and Rhett is basically AI.
Nah it’s the exact opposite, Rhett is all about winning to the point he will never give Link a break, Link could be winning and gives Rhett a chance to win at the end still cause he’s all about fun
I would've gone with the noodle and marshmallow soup purely for the fact that I would never expect kids to choose peas when coming up with soup. I'm surprised they didn't think of that.
The AI can only pull from what's on the internet, and kids usually don't post whatever weird creation they make online (especially if their parents catch them making it), so what you're getting is a knowledge base of recipes designed by adults for children to make, or just eat, so they're better put together.
That is partially true. AI can learn what vegetables and fruits go well together and come up with an entire new recipe that can’t be found online
@Bees exactly! people really don't get how these text prediction engines work
Exactly. It really seems like AI is just making recipes from ingredients kids like.
The kids have a clear pattern. They care about the presentation and the colors more than anything lol
I hope I’m not the only one who watches this show every morning with breakfast. Truly the best part of my day.
Well for me it's 12:00 so I enjoy lunch. But I hope you are eating something tasty 😄
This was uploaded at 7pm my time, so hopefully I'm eating something other than breakfast
Gets uploaded at 3am for me, I'm waking up for work at that time so I watch it before then lol
You need to do more throughout your day. 😂 jk jk have a nice day bub.
10pm my time, but i enjoy a nice cup of tea before i sleep ahah
Episode idea! Which ai can make the best recipes?
Ask an array of ai to write recipes like pizza, enchiladas, etc and they pick which one is the best
This is such a fun idea for an episode, I really hope they do more of these! Not just food but other things too! Kids are so imaginative they’d definitely beat AI every time with their creativity
Not this time they didn’t
To be a kid is to be sooo insane, but very simple. That’s what their food creations were 😅
Vi is so charismatic I swear, love whenever she's featured
every time "go all the way down" is referenced in more recent episodes it makes me so happy. still just as funny, i'm dying
April fools episode idea:
Rhett and Link makes an apology video, revealing they've been using AI to write their scrips for years😅
Colin Mochrie basically did that bit recently
We need 'Was This Food Made By Link or A Kid?'
Yeesss
I love how link just casually changed rhett's answer
OK, but are two stacked cupcakes a sandwich?
Also, the kids were super cute in this episode!
Links meds seem to be affecting his short-term memory more than he realizes 🤣
when i was a kid, i’d chop up bologna and wrap it in a piece of lettuce, and act like it was this healthy, revolutionary delicacy
I did the same thing! But eventually I'd get tired of being "so healthy" and start spreading a little bit of peanut butter on the bologna before putting it in the lettuce 💀💀
I missed the part at first where they said they were Vee’s niece and nephew because I was thinking how weird it was the kids looked just like her.
😂😂😂
I like how Link's takeaway from Lord of the Flies was that it was a good thing.
Stevie was so defeated when she told them about the fruit loops
Link referring to lord of the flies as “the island book” 😂😂😂
from the first food we can see how rhett and link underestimated kids too much about what they have in mind
overestimated
Good Mythical Night for all Aussies
In Canada, we used to have a show called Just Like Mom where kids cooked for their moms, dads or grandparents. It was great!
I love that the ai couldn’t keep up with the kids! Feels like some sort of small win against our future ai overlords.
"Keep up with kids" the way they were making unpalatable food? Lol, idk how much of a win that is.
@@bradlasalle2888the ai was tasked to match the thought process of a kid, the goal wasn't good food, meaning it didn't actually succeed
@@bradlasalle2888 yeah I agree kids had oportunity to make food the way they dreamed somebody made them food but instead they just made a mess.
@@bloopbleep173 But they didn't give the AI the stipulation that the kid wasn't planning on eating it, so the ingredients would make no sense together at all. If you told the kids that they would be eating their own creations, they wouldn't have made nasty combinations.
@@CGingerbreadman true but at the end the ai just didn't succeed (not saying it was "fair" but within what they asked of it, it just didn't deliver the desired results) but it's not serious scientific research anyway so it's not like it proves anything ig
One simple rule: The Kid's recipe is the one that doesn't work, and yet have all good things on it.
Ill actually go to bed after this video....maybe...
Alternate title: "Rhett and Link Roast Children's Cooking for 22 minutes"
Imagine Gordon Ramsay is judging all these foods.
He's super sweet with kids, actually.
Gordon Ramsay loves kids and would never judge them he’s actually super sweet and encouraging with them
When you do this episode again the parameters need to be more specific for the AI! Age, available ingredients (it seems the AI could pick from anything and the kids grabbed what was in front of them), maybe give the kids a base recipe to start with etc
I can't believe they actually thought kids would pick peas as an ingredient..
“Go all the way down” is the best unknown running joke
i love how the wrote on the flags how rhett and link would write if they were little 😆😆
Little kid doing Whippets at the end, good job auntie!
My favorite part is rhett and link exhibiting machine learning as they go through this challenge
Little man hittin a whippit at the end
Not me thinking it’s hilarious that Link sneezed right after Rhett. The moments they are in sync are always so funny to me 😂
I want Rhett's sweater so much
Good mythical morning to the midnight crew!
15:25 "[Kids] are unpredictable" -- Link Neal, 2023 😂😂
There was whipped cream in every round.. I think the little boy really liked using that canister. 😂
What kids lack in experience they make up for in creativity. Never underestimate a small human 🤭💗
Absolutely, they are capable of so much more than many adults think.
Respect to Link's RonCo "[Get] it...and forget it!" joke
“Go all the way down” my day has been made 😂😍😂
20:27 even when Rhett lets Link win he still gets the points lol
I do love this concept. The kids are just adorable
Why do I feel like link gets closer and closer to insanity every episode?
Felt
Because he gets closer to insanity with every episode.
The kid doing whippets at the end explains the recipes lol
lol time to do my nightly blunt after work and watch gmm before i sleep four hours and go to class... gn guys
Okay so do the same thing but with cravings from pregnant people
It's fascinating that even in a silly experiment like this, you can still see patterns in the difference between how kids and an AI thinks.
Ya, im not nearly as worried about the kids taking over the world 🤣
@@ginger_nosoul Yep Ai tho lol
“Purple staaains” 😂😂
The kids were so adorable!
“go all the way down” has become my favorite inside joke
In soup round the AI used salt and pepper while the kids used whipped cream and chocolate syrup. That's when I knew the game might be a little too easy. Fun watch, though.
I think if you give a kid the reins, their first instinct is to go wild. It's what nobody would have done before them and a sure way to an original recipe
I am loving Rhett's sweater here
The kid over there just doing whip-its like no one’s watching. Lol
As someone who grew up watching tons of infomercials because nothing else was on, that Ronco reference was criminally underrated.
Cap snaffler.
Man when I have kids, they will most definitely be taking a bite of whatever they make first. (If they try to make me something that is) 😂
I want to see the kids reaction to their creations. It sounded like they tried them also.
It blows my mind that they unironically thought children would willingly put peas in any thing lmao
I have watched R&L eat a LOT of things over the years, and for some reason that pizza was the first time I vicariously gagged
gooood morning everyone!!! happy humpday, I hope it's an amazing one!!! 💗💗💗
Lil homie is doing whipits in the kitchen
The Ronco comment by Link was just sublime. Did anyone else pick up on that or am I just old?
Set it and forget it 🤣
For everyone watching. The Rao’s tomato sauce at 15:19 is amazing and I highly recommend it
Now did the kids get to try their own creations, I hope so that way they can learn something about trial and error in cooking. Cute kiddos tho ☮️♥️😋
😂😂😂😂 freaking dying at "ash cream"
Totally enjoyed listening to the crew's laughter/giggling after Rhett sang "Purple stains". Had to rewatch the moment a few times because I really enjoy when the casts react to whatever Rhett and/or Link do/say. ^^ best moment ever today
"sure A.I. is smart, but can A.I. beat children at art?" would have been good.
Thanks for your input you should apply to be a writer on the show
Whoa, you must be a professional writer or something.
But it was about food so it doesn't make sense
No
That makes no sense for this video
Rhett kids are not smart you’re giving them to much credit it was my 19 year olds birthday and she asked her 6 year old sister how old she thought she was and she said 51 😭
“What are you guys are gonna call it?” @15:40 Had to double & triple check I wasn’t hearing things 😂😂
Making an "everything sandwich" is definitely a right of passage for a kid.
Good mythical lunchtime from here!
Obsessed with Rhett's shirt
Rhett, I got to say, everytime I see that sweater im like man, THERE IT IS AGAIN! I love that sweater its so nice everytime I look at it im just likle wow. probably my fav article of clothing from you
this sweater haunts me for days everytime i see it bc i don't know where it's from
Their reaction to the kid doing an accidental whipit at the end sent me
Some of the decisions in this episode really made me question if these two men with children have actually raised children before.
The AI stuff was obvious because they had adults who know how to cook making the recipe, so it was always presented better than what the kids threw together.
20:14 Okay that kid was like 1 step away from doing whippets lmao
Someone needs to show that kid how to use a whipped cream canister
this is a super creative idea i hope you guys do this again
Dude when I was a kid, I was trying to make stuff taste good and following recipes, this boggles my mind. My mom also had us in the kitchen doing something from like birth though, so that definitely played a factor.
The kids are trying to be silly. It would've been a better game if they had told them to actually try to do something good.
@@hypnoteapot yeah, they should have been told to make something they would eat.
The kids knew they weren't going to eat it though, so they went nuts
I really love Rhett’s shirts lol!
4:13 rhett went into hippie mode😂😂
