      Lol your in a ZL1, can’t tell if it’s the 1LE version. The seatbelts gave it away somewhat but figured you changed them to that from the seat change but when I saw the blind spot monitoring go off on the mirror......
      Have fun!!!

    I absolutely love my 1LE. The way the car handles, the power & the way it looks are all equally amazing. I can't get enough of it.

      Would you say the visibility is decent enough for a newer driver? I have had my license for a year now but have been driving for like a year and a half to two years with my permit.

      @adamperry6133 Před 3 lety

      @@meharatwal9814 I haven’t been in a 6th gen, but I had a 5th gen camaro and I’d say the visibility in that was compromised but you get used to it. It’s not so bad that it should be a reason to not buy the car.

    Great review man. What's unanimous is how much 1le owners love these cars for all the reasons you stated. There's no better car out there for the price.

    Great clip. Scared me a bit with that intro! I’m still in “honeymoon” phase with my 1LE, but it is a far better car than I am a driver. One weird problem I’m having that has nothing to do with the car: going back to manual trans after years of autos. Size 15 feet !!😱😱 Anyway, I love this beast, it demands involvement. Thanks, keep it coming! 👍👍

    I bought a 2019 2SS 1LE this past August and I have to say your videos had a huge influence on my decision. Happy to say that I have absolutely no regrets with the choice, so thank you for making all this content. I came from a 2016 STI with FA500 coils and other suspension goodies as well as intake, downpipe, and various aero bits, and I can definitely say this Camaro is on an entirely different level in almost every way (other than storage space lol). Not planning on modding much or tracking for probably a year or two, but I am interested in the Borla exhaust that you threw on that retains the NPP. Thanks a lot brother!

    Thanks for the video Mac!
    I just bought a 2021 SS 1LE last week as my first sports car, first V8, first RWD, first manual. I have been driving it every day after work. Feels like back to my childhood time when I can play with toys after school. Such a crazy car! MSRP $45k is a steal. It has all of the formulas for a driver's dream car.
    This car shocks me in every dimension, except for the MRC. The MRC, I feel it reduces the rolling magically in high-speed corners. While for daily-drive, I feel it does not eliminate all small bumps very well, compared to my Subaru Outback. Of course, this is not a fair comparison at all. If compared to other sports cars I've driven, it outperforms easily.
    I feel so sad about the rumors that Chevy will discontinue or electrify the Camaro after 2023. Really hope the sales number can go up and GM can keep producing Camaro on the Alpha2 platform.

    I've heard good things about the 1le on a square tire setup with slicks, 285 I think. I currently have a 2016 2.0L with 165tw tires, and that car is enough to scare the shpoop out of most of my passengers on a curvy road. Looking to upgrade to a 2017-18 ss1le in the very near future!!

    A fan of the channel. Quick question, you mentioned the Multimatic dampers. I thought only the ZL1 1LE has the Multimatic DSSV dampers. Aren't the SS 1LE dampers GM magneride units? Or did you guys swap in a set of DSSVs?

    • @macpettit2327
      @macpettit2327  Před 3 lety

      Toe adjustment will have the greatest impact on Tire life & longevity, A mild 1.5-2.0 degrees will not drastically change the life as long as the Toe is set properly

      Any other upgrades for power would really need a tune, headers, pully, sc upgrade, but after I release the video today, that may be the direction I take the new build

    I got a 2ss threw fbo at it and it’s way faster then stock and I can’t hook with stock tires I was wondering if toyo r888’s are going to be good

    • @macpettit2327
      @macpettit2327  Před 3 lety

      If it is just for a straight line r888's will do the trick, they heat up quickly, the downside is there wear fast and get 'greasy' in the corners fast

    • @allterrainadventures3385

      I got the 21 ss and I have the eagle f1 tires they’re really good as long as it’s not cold out. Good for corners and won’t wear nearly as fast as the r 888’s will

    1le is $45k, not a $35k budget.

    • @macpettit2327
      @macpettit2327  Před 3 lety +1

      Maybe I could have made that more clear; I purchased mine used last year for 30k, at the time there were also dealer incentives below $40k, Market is a bit different now, but 30-35 for a used 1LE in good condition with low miles is very attainable

    • @BigClaunch
      @BigClaunch Před 3 lety +1

      Purchased mine brand new 1SS 1LE for $37,9000! Wait for incentives and rebates. Get approved before you show up. Dont be upside down on your current. Have good credit. 1LE's are the ultimate budget performance car.
