- Another flawless Indian Classical performance. Not much to add on this, my face tells it all. Kaushiki and her style is still new to me but she got me instantly, thats how good and technically strong she is. This one is indeed a true classic as no modern instruments were present to add color. Those crazy runs and……what was on her lap which she was stroking, sort of? Madam Chakraborty, you and the tabla player, what a combination…..so in sync. WoW!

The instrument she is playing is called "swarmandal" It is set at different tunes for different raags and it is also used for improvising!

Its a series of notes SA RE GA MA PA DHA NI SA.. As in western notations do re Mi fa so la ti do. All sorts of permutations and combinations is what she is rendering
