Did you people notice that when she started singing the raaga, the sun hadn't rise, the sun gradually rose along with the raaga, that gradually rose to it's epitome ❤️🌼
@Munish dhaini @Munish dhaini ji bilkul. Pr ise suryoday k samay gaaya gaya h, jisse video ki shundarta nikharkr ayi h. Yeh nirdeshak ki drishti ka kamal h😊
@Munish dhaini har raag ke gaane ka waqt/prahar hota hai... So yeah matlab hai. 😊
@Munish dhaini Okay! 😊

Yes that’s right.
Bolaka a poem used to be taught at the evening just before the sunset. so that the students could feel the feelings of the writer (grate Ravindra Nath Tahir).
She is so humble and down to earth person... My friend did a portrait of her and went to her concert .. after the concert when she was leaving he held up that painting in front of her.. and she acknowledged his effort and said .. i m going to sign only one autograph now since you have taken so much effort painting this.. and at the same time someone tried to touch her feet to show respect to her but she refused and said she isnt that big yet that someone should touch her feet in respect.. hats off to her humility...
asoshree got her autograph a few weeks ago... truly down to earth and such a sweet person she is
@Geet watch the interview.. she told them in the interview..

The instrument is called the "taanpura" and it sounds exactly like that. It is supposed to provide the pitch or the tonic support for the entire presentation, because in Hindustani classical music, we *mostly* do not change the main tonic for the entirety of the presentation which is about 45 minutes to an hour. Usually has 4 strings, but sometimes 6 strings too. It requires a great deal of training to learn to tune it perfectly or even well. In fact, there is another video of the same singer explaining what the taanpura is, what it does and why it is important.
Classical singing.. Just with the Tanpura.. Is so soothing to hear.. This is how Riyaz (Practice) is done...
You are always eager to see their videos I see your comments everday
@@anandaragi4298 hahha. 😁😁 yea
Kindly use orginal sanskrit word abhyas/ Sadhna not that Urdu word Riyaz.

Micah looks possessed throughout the reaction😂
Yeah😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣now when u said it,its more funny
The instrument is tanpura and it does sound like that. It is not meant to provide the melody but is meant to provide the base harmonic structure of the raag being played to help the artist maintain the tone. FYI Indian raags are each based on thaats, which are essentially a list of notes that the raag can contain and are meant to provide the base structure within which the artist can improvise yet stick to the rules of harmonics in the raag.
My sister studied classical music in her father Pandit Ajay Chakraborty's music school for about 8 years. She was one of her teachers at the senior levels albeit only occasionally because, well she has a busy performance schedule.
woahhh what it must be like to have Kaushiki Chakraborty as your teacher😱😱😱
I learned classical music in Shrutinandan for 8 years too. And I was fortunate too to have classes from her few a times! 😌
@@trisannita_sings wow😳
@Chow King he never said this
The instrument is called Tanpura and it exactly sounds like that.
Kaushiki's Father, Maestro, Pt. Ajay Chakraborty received "Padma Bhushan" (3rd Highest civilian award in India) on this 26th Jan.
She is popular among the youth...but older people think she isn't mature enough right now but has tremendous potential
Because she achieved so much at this tender age...Tender for classical music..
What a way to start the day with... It's raining here in my city and listening to classical music in the morning is the ultimate way to begin the day with... ❤️❤️
Great... I too only like to see classical music reaction... 🙂

Only one instrument, no other instruments.
The stillness in all of you!!!!
See what great music does🙂
I like Rick's reaction ,he feels the depths of music and express the soul of songs in every aspect.👍🙏🇮🇳🤗
I haven't seen you people this much quite ever while watching a video.........man......and its normal cause the voice of The godess was so mesmerising......
At last lots of love for all of you.......
That's Tanpura. That's the only instrument she was playing.
❤️ I love your love for India
🇮🇳 and beautiful to watch your appreciation of what it has to offer the world 🗺 Thanks so much for this memory ❤️ I miss India 🇮🇳 so much now that I live in Australia 🇦🇺
Did you notice the sun coming up behind her 💖
And the instrument she was plucking with her fingers does sound like that and it was the only one instrument playing in the video.. it may have been recorded seperately but it was only that in the video.. tanpura in hindi or tambora in marathi..
The lyrics are as beautiful as the singing.
The main line she repeats again and again
"Daras bina dukhan jiya"
Means without the site (of the lover) the mind is aggrieved.
Second line:
"Man papiha Gaye piya piya"
Means the nightingale of mind sings Piya! Piya (darling! Darling!)
The lines in higher notes
Means
Since (my) darling went to the foreign lands;
I'm in unrest day and night.
Good translation bro, that is the beauty of culture
Lover generally means divine in Indian classical.
@@1234fazermannyes piya means God
Starting the morning with classic indian music is heaven😍😍😍❤❤❤
Can we all just take a moment to dwell upon how awesome OSR team is?? Rick and Korbin shot 11 videos and counting before Rick left for Kolkata almost a week ago. Thank you OSR for all your time and hard work you put into the channel just for us stupid babies.....
Ahem, not dissing OSR but all CZcamsrs do this. Unless its a vlog, they never post a video the next day after shooting it. A lot of time goes into it, and thats why they usually have a bank of videos already recorded to make up for any time they may lose later.
@@preeti_prasad Yeah this is true but I feel a very deep connection enough with OSR to personally show my gratitude in the comments and that's why I mentioned it.....
You should checkout Carnatic and Hindustani Jugalbandi, whether it's vocal or instrumental like Mridangam and Tabla, Sitar and Bansuri etc.
Why does micah look like he is doing a JOKER impression of a glare the whole time he is looking at the video
It is said that sarang's notes come closest to a human voice.. it's beautiful. :)
The instrument she is playing is a Tanpura... which has the most exotic sound .. fills up your soul
Nothing can be better than classic music to start the day😍😍😍
Befitting the tagline of OSR - Let's Get Stupid.!

The instrument she plays is called THAMBURA to sync the sruthi for that song.
Indian classical music is designed to calm the mind and bring it to a meditative state to help in getting closer to union with god.
She is famous classical Indian singer Kaushiki Chakraborti daughter of legendary master singer Pandit Shri Ajay Chackrabarty.. playing the instrument Tanpura ( most Indian classical singer can play)
I literally got goosebumps right after she started.
I am very lonely. I want to have someone watch stuff with me. You guys are a great company ♥️😘
She is superb and the less we talk of her talent it is better and just enjoy her thanks.
They all look mesmerized by her music
That's the beauty of India
Jai hindi, mera bharat mahan
Just soothing
She is the best in India. Her dad was even greater in his younger days. They are trained to sing 22 notes in an octave.
Best in India was MS Subbalaxmi.
Indian music derived from nature and sublimes into the same touching the feet of devine.
The power of Indian Vedic music 🙂

Indian music moves your head.... Western music moves your feet... If u think about it... It says it all.. Indian classical music is greatest in every way
Being able to control the notes from becoming sharp or flat is about 90% of the total practice that a student of music does for atleast 10-15 years of his/her initial training... It's given a lot of importance and is called being in "Sur"
A very hard to enjoy the performance , front of camera 📸 lence? You are amazing Respect others.. wonderful time with you guys 💖 amazing fabulous time.
Indian Classical legend 🙏 Kaushiki Mam
I will give today 100/100 to #micah for a deep & efficient listener whole heartedly...
The instrument that she was playing is called tanpura. That sounds exactly what you heard. There are no other instruments running behind
First off...you guys were a great audience...rapt attention throughout to the video from you guys is amazing! Please keep the classical reactions coming!
That is the only instrument sound you are hearing! That is how tampura sounds, it keeps you in tune!
Perfect INDIAN classical music.
Felling release....
Piya means lover. And now i love this lady.
She is great. "I LOVE HER", however she is not the only one. I think you folks should start looking at others. There are rustic, melodious (Latha, Chitra, etc) and sophisticated (Kaushiki, etc) singers. Then it is carnatic, hindustani, gazals (Begam Akhtar, Farida khanum), qawalis, bhajan's, sufi songs, list is endless.
I have just listed what is popular. In music instruments, i guess it is time to get introduced to mandolin by U. Srinivas. He is no more, but was considered on par with Zakir Hussain with his instrument.
As artists i have another suggestion, look for videos and documentaries of various art forms in India.
I wouldn't hesitate to mention that Indian work on sculptures is on par with Michelangelo's Pieta (my absolute favourite, not for sculpture, but the thought behind it), you know what i mean.
Korbin:
We'll learn 30 mins session of her! When we come to India.
.
Me: are... Bhai bhai bhai.
They're not even realizing who she is 😆
Beautiful start to my day
There's no other instrument ... It's only one there
Guys that is the only instrument playing... It is called as Tambora. It is string instrument played while singing. Singers use this while singing. It is set according to the various pitches.
My god I lived this intro🤣🤣🤣🤣
They made the legends go silent today 🤣🤣👏
There is only one instrument playing. and it produces only two sounds.
The Sa (do), the tonic and pa (so).
In Classical music, Sa and Pa are fixed and the instrument Tampura defines those two frequencies.
Amazing control on voice and perfection in each note. Beautiful "meend" (smooth transition between notes)
There was no rhythm instrument like Tabla or Mridangam but it appeared as if it was autoplaying in her mind because she didn't loose a sense of rhythm a bit.
Tanpura, a background instrument is set for Fixed notes like Sa, Pa, and 2 other important notes of that Raga. If two Tanpuras are used its better. This is like an Anchor of the Ship. Continuous ringing of these notes in your ears do not allow you to drift your singing from the notes and you remain always " In Tune". Soe times due to change in room temperature if Tanpura drifts out of Tune, singer gets disturbed and is compelled to reset the Tunning.
Yassss Kaushikiiiiiii!!!!!! Good Morning guys🌸
Amazing
You guys are on point!
Namaste! Thanks for sharing!
Ashley is very cute & adorable ❤️❤️
Love & wishes to your channel bros Rick & Korbi

Awwwgghhh😍😍😍🤗🤗 sudh sarang is pure bliss 😊
its power of Bengal soil..she is just a goods of SARASWATI..
Her father is a legend of indian classical music;. Ajay Chakrabarty!
There is so much more to explore on that channel. Don't get stuck on one or two artists. You haven't really explored the legends yet.
She's playing the tanpura which plays the tonic and the dominant.
Excellent for vocal pratice.
As of shudha sarang. It's a pentatonic scale with missing 3rd and 6th.
You are all so sweet!
Wow! What a stable grip! Not easy only on tanpura. ❤️
Even me being indian was amaged by that instrument when i encountered it first😂😂..but yes!! It is only that instrument making the sound "taanpura'
Internal or mentally peace connected to indian classical music

There's video of her with Shankar Mahadevan teaching basics of classical music to a bunch of kids who are the students of Shankar Mahadevan Academy. You guys can check that out. Yes, she's strumming the Tanpura, but there is also the electronic one playing.
It's just one music instrument she was playing on called Tanpura, and it sounds exactly what shown in video guys..

Before 2 days ago she was performing in my college💓💓💓
The instrument is thampuru.. And it sounds like that.. No other instruments were played in the background
I usually don't listen to carnatic music patiently till the end. But when I watched it with u guys. I watched it fully and also enjoyed it.... thanks guys

This instrument "tanpura" is used to keep the scale and rhythm right of the song for the singer in every fraction of second
Keep up the good work. Excellent.

She is perfect, like a Robot. Every note with perfect timing and length, but amidst all that perfection, lost is the emotion of the Raga, the purpose of Music in the first place.
