I think a good deal to make with my friend in the bathroom would be to go along with all the bets, taking turns winning (though perhaps staggered so it doesn't look obvious), and at the end of the night split the money evenly between us. Sure, the final challenge was for one to murder the other, but they didn't know that at the time, and it keeps things mostly friendly between you until it gets to that point.
