Greece is one place that I always feel at Home, there is never the feeling you are being "tolerated" as a tourist.. So many times I have sat drinking well into the night only for the bar owner to wave me away when the bill was due to be paid. If you are visiting Please try to book a family owned Taverna / Hotel, you will have a way nicer experience than a Chain Hotel. IMO.

I've been to Crete a couple of times (once with KLM from Amsterdam) - it's a great island. Food was fantastic and the people are really friendly. Great video of the landing !
most planes turn right before malia towards chersonissos. We've been doing it for years, the first time was in 1990 and even now, when they were still armed at the reception hall. Back then we still paid drag fees, food and drinks were dirt cheap, and you made calls from a telephone booth. You had a great time exchanging money with Eurochecks. Now Crete has become a tourist attraction and the Heraklion airport is outdated and that is why a new one is being built near Kastelli

Happy for all on board this 737 ...please if it is a max version we all would be watching a crash...... note Ryan air in europe uses the max series , fly at your risk ......easy jet does not it is a Airbus only airline ..use at your safety and keep you alive ....great video
Strange runway touch down zone with short length.
that was a quick landing, normally the elevation countdown is a lot more gradual(slower) . Like you just wanted to park the plane and chill. 😏, It proves how good a pilot you are, always in full control, no mistakes here..
I lived on the Island for almost a year in 1983-84 Great People one of my favorites.
My first holiday abroad was to Crete in 1983, on landing at Heraklion we had to walk from the plane to the terminal, such as it was. Such great memories, Crete was so undeveloped back then, hardly any TVs, only a few phone lines off the island (which you had to queue for) and very few cars. The busses were good and very cheap though, as was the food!
The weather was perfect for an visual RNP approach and landing ❤😊
