Those speakers are absolutely outrageous and I am so glad to finally find someone on CZcams who uses them for a build like this. I bet they sound amazing and I so want to build a set of bookshelf speakers like this.
Thanks man!
I built a pair of these 3 years ago for my sister and she has them connected to her Smart TV as the source, and man I gotta say that they sound excellent. In fact, I'm building another set now. I just cut the wood yesterday and have all of the components and I should have them completed by next week...it would be sooner if I had more time but you all know that is. So I guess I'm saying that I highly recommend this build, you won't be disappointed.
Thanks man! Great to hear that you like these so much. These are truly very good value.
This is the first video that I have watched without skipping😅
Awesome, thanks!
Waiting for sound tests.
Looks beautiful
Thanks. Hopefully soon, still waiting for some XO parts.
You can purchase the BUILD PLANS for these speakers from my website here: soundblab.net/build-plans/

Really looking forward to seeing this wrap up - I've been thinking of getting a pair of these tweeters myself. When you get to the Sound review, would you mind testing the on and off-axis behaviour of the tweeters? Thanks for the great videos mate, your work is spectacular.
Thanks so much! Sure, I can do that.
😍😍😍 belíssimo trabalho

Fantastic
Awesome !
Is there any acoustic reason for the hole pattern in the internal brace board? Or was this just a convenient wood shop facility way of doing it?
The idea is to take away as much material as possible without comprimising the integrity of the brace.
I've seen these tweeters online, but haven't had a chance to buy them, are they available locally in SA? I need to replace broken tweeters on my wharfedales...
Not in SA. I have only found sources overseas.
SoundBlab What's the easiest way to order? And how long does it take to get delivered?
Check out Madisoundspeakerstore or Parts Express. Parts Express includes shipping and customs duties so a bit easier, although expect to pay as much for shipping as for the parts.
How’s that tweeter sound? I just bought the same one and haven’t tried it out yet. Did you post measurements anywhere with it mounted in your baffle?
Have not posted any measurements yet. This tweeter sounds good. You just need to cross it over right, about 2.5KHz to 3KHz LR4 to LR2.
nice job........
pioneer bluetooth speaker
whats the purpouse of that board with circles inside of a speaker?
It’s an internal brace that helps to prevent cabinet resonance.
Where can I buy the wood siding? Please let me know
Hi there, firstly, love your channel and builds, been following along for past couple of years.
Secondly, I know your somewhere in South Africa, like me, I’d like to ask where you got the veneer you use in your build? I’ve been searching far and wide for something like that to no avail.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I want to know as well! Timber City sometimes has nice quality veneers.
Hey man - if you're in Cape Town, I highly recommend VeneerCraft in Paarden Eiland!
Philip Kramer unfortunately I’m in Pretoria, but I’ll check them out none the less, maybe they deliver. Thanks man.
Thanks man! If your in Cape Town veneerCraft is the place to go. However, I have no idea where else you can get it other parts of SA. Perhaps someone in your area can comment?
i feel u need more claps for the venner
Please tell me which instrument do you use
if you used plywood on the side why didnt you just use cabinet grade birch so you didn't have to glue on some veneer?
I dont get cabinet grade with veneer already on it in my country.
@@SoundBlab it won't come with it. You can stain the plywood. Seems easier.
I prefer the real wood veneer to a stained finish.
Bhai jbl peturn me banao

Sorry, I only sell build plans on my website www.soundblab.net
where did you get the felt sheets?
I got it from my local carpet shop.

SoundBlab, Do you use any gaskets for installation of speaker drivers?
I do. Luckily these Silver Flute and Peerless drivers come with gaskets already attached.

Wires out front because I was testing the individual drivers. Once crossover is installed, it will be wired correctly to terminal cup on the back.

You ask money from people as donation but you are selling you plans ...thats like clever
Sar samaje me nahi aaya
you put that lovely vinner on it then you went and stained it and ruined it :(
There is no stain involved, its the natural colour of the walnut veneer.
@@SoundBlab nice anyway
yeah maybe a nice button polish :) but still nice never the less you do some good work bro )
@@SoundBlab the natural colour would look nice with clear :) that did have a stain in it it was to dark to be natural like i said hey dont pull my leg i can read :)
lol soo much work and put cheapest market cables in it. Use something better like Jantzen solid core - not expensive but way better i think.
These might look cheap, but the quality is good.
