Which watt and ohms speakers use bro
That was one of the most satisfying videos I’ve seen. Fantastic workmanship. I could of watched another hour of that build.
Thanks!
You've made me want to step up my game
9:26 absolute genius. i may try it myself. been doing it with table saw.
Fantastic build, big fan of your work.
Thank you!
Always gorgeous, perfect, precise and well finish work.
Thanks
I've already commented on this before, but a surround design like this would be fantastic for rear surrounds mounted on the rear wall. The wide dispersion and excellent off-axis performance of the double ring radiator tweeter coupled with the rounded design of that cabinet should provide excellent results even if you're listening on-axis to the woofer. But the best effect will be how atmospheric the first and second order reflections should be if used as rear surrounds. At some point I want to have enough space and money to buy a bunch of KEF 3001SE or equivalent little pod speakers to fully occupy all of the 11 channels of amplifier output my receiver supports. Their sound should mesh decently well with my KEF iQ90 towers and I'll never be able to afford to build anything better myself with nearly as compact and comprehensive a design.
Awesome build. Your work really inspires me to build my own, even if I don't have all the tools and resources. The chosen music works brilliantly with the video.
Thanks man!
love you from bangladesh 🇧🇩🇧🇩
10:01 As the ambient music at the beginning started i thought: "Why is the musik always 50 dB louder than the voice and why an elevator track. But the 2nd is pretty good, followed by another ride in the elevator. But this 4th one is really awesome. I like those high pitched voices [holdover from my breakbeat times]. Pretty nice build btw.
Умеете, могете, пацаны вообще ребята!!! Хорошо получилось! Послушать бы в живую и оценить.
Thanks
15:34 wish I had a nickel for every time that I did that. Great build.
So many wires in series and parallel, sometimes get confused! 😂
Those Speakers are build so awesome! Your woodworking is great, it Always Looks so flawless, just gorgeous. Really appreciate your Videos, Keep on going!
Thanks man!
Very enjoyable build video. The design is a 10 outta 10, the look is 10 outta 10 and the build quality is also a 10 outta 10. GREAT JOB all categories! I really love those speakers! Man, I wish I could build speakers like that. You are "very" skilled! Absolutely 100% AWESOME!
Thanks man!
Wonderful job 📐👌
Thanks
Beautifully built speakers..
Thanks
I think You need a new hole saw. Great speakers, good work!
Thanks
Hi Sir, i hope you can feature a crossover build,...how to attain certain or specific prequencies of sub, woofer, mid, and tweeter. Awesome vids, thanks.
That is absolutely outstanding work.
Thanks!
Can you make a test please
Well done!
When the sound quality matches the build quality this would be a great system.
I would have choosen a dark veneer for the front, instead of paint
Thanks
Bro its ...... marvelous a piece of beauty must be praised, u nailed it again bro i am pretty sure u will be hired by some big company one day man love it
Thanks
Parabéns pelo belo trabalho....
Have you ever thought about reboxing an existing speaker that already sounds good but has a crappy or damaged cabinet? Something like a Dayton Audio bookshelf or maybe some high end older speaker picked up used that has a warn or damaged cabinet but the drivers are in perfect condition? I think that would be a great project to get people into speaker building as many may have the woodworking skills, but are overwhelmed with the idea of matching driver types and building crossovers. This would be a great way to get proven sound results but with a furniture grade custom looking finished product.
Not a bad idea. I will put this on my possible project list.
That was very cool and you did a great job. 👍😊
Thanks!
Well done! They look very pretty. 😍
Thanks
Very nice soundtracks. And, as usual, very nice work. Thank you.
Thanks
Fantastic to hear a familiar accent on CZcams 😊😊 best wishes from Jozi
And, thanks for inspiring me to build my first speaker box
Thanks man. Good luck!
That is absolutely beautiful. The crossover you made is amazing.
Thanks man!
@@SoundBlab amazing speakers. Your wood working skills are great! However, positioning the coils like that might create interferance between them?..
selam , elinize sağlık , harika olmuş .
Thanks
Very nice. Work
Thank you very much
at 15:33. i was like "Don't do it... Don't do it! .... Aw he did it...."
😂
Belo trabalho, parabéns!!!
A very nice build but the cost of buying all the equipment needed to construct these would be too prohibitive for me.
you could feasibly do it all with hand tools. would take a while longer..
Awesome job, congratulations!!!
Thank you!
Wow u make amazing stuff
15:36 haha I saw that! :)
Awesome super super 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
Thanks
Really fantastic work, dude... Beautiful! 😃
Thanks man!
they are totally amazing mate well done, wish i had a huge shed or something
Thanks
Great work
Thanks
Parabéns, trabalho incrível! 👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks!
Great work buddy. You should build filters using some standard PCB, which is really cheap and available.
Thanks man. Not really into the off-the-shelf stock PCB crossovers. You will almost never get the desired result as each driver has a varied response from each other. You have to measure and build a crossover according to the measurements and specs of the drivers for a good predicted outcome.
@@SoundBlab - I am not suggesting to use crossover's, I suggest to use common PCB for soldering your components. Like these: www.google.com/search?q=soldering%20board%20kits&tbm=isch&safe=off&safe=off&tbs=rimg%3ACWw7nOdXzfU9IkCOS_1X7P9X-b85wbG9cwvsNqcve_1XOJYqL9QsoszKj6vyc7Li5w4AsGdBcdNJHp2LXosC95fRhLCS1mW8gHzvD2KhIJjkv1-z_1V_1m8RuU-Tms3k0MwqEgnOcGxvXML7DRGPSJ-0-joxSSoSCanL3v1ziWKiEY9In7T6OjFJKhIJ_1ULKLMyo-r8RF1rUV_1A1HykqEgknOy4ucOALBhG5T5OazeTQzCoSCXQXHTSR6di1EY9In7T6OjFJKhIJ6LAveX0YSwkRzvC0_1K9UzJAqEgktZlvIB87w9hG5T5OazeTQzGEL7N81ryjEiQ&client=ms-unknown&prmd=imvn&hl=lt&ved=0CBcQuIIBahcKEwjYiaTgttvmAhUAAAAAHQAAAAAQBw&biw=455&bih=871#imgrc=-GeD2bI6KaXhIM&imgdii=RN5zE_pMTBuAmM
Ah, I understand. I bought some of these from Banggood a while back with that in mind, but have not used them yet.
waw your works finishing amazing
Thanks
Could you elaborate on why you did Choose the xt25 tweeters despite theyre overly directional Sound characteristics? With mounting recommended to be 1m above ear Level and the Overall Design of those speakers anlignig them at 45° Off the Front the xt25 Seem to be pretty far from optimal for this Kind of Dipole configuration to me. Would Love to Hear about your thought process on my areas of concern
Great job!
Thanks!
I didn't know such tools existed
I know this video is old but if you see thos comment Id love your input. Have you used these with Atmos or in 7 channel and do you find them to work out well?
If you'd use a formed profile cutter to cut narrow Vees instead of square slots the wood would join top-to-bottom, just saying.
Yeah I hear you, but I prefer the square cut rather than the v-slot.
Me gusta tu proyecto es elegante
Gracias
You are a marvelous creator bro ...
Thanks man.
Hi ! These are awesome ! I love watching your videos about speakers builds, I'd love to build some at home ! But as I'm in France I'm very frustrated to not be able to find the sanding sealer you're using on all your projects. Do you have any information on this? I guess this product has some additive that is not allowed in France... Do you know what could have the same effect and can be found in France? Thanks a lot ! Waiting to see the next shot :)
Cheers from France ;)
Very cool! Thank you! 👍😊😊😊
Thanks
Very refined
Tx
Beautiful build...!
Thanks
I've used a slightly modified version of those tweeters and they sound excellent. Also, is that a silver flute woofer? Those things have excellent sound quality, especially for their price.
They are Silver Flutes. Yes, very good value for money and return in performance.
Hello, very neatly looking job! I tried the same black matte effect on mdf, however with grey spray primer and black matte spray lack on top it was still too shiny and uneven. What is the trick here? Thanks
I often use a spray filler to even out the surface, wet sanding in between two coats to get it smooth. Then a primer and then a colour coat or two or three. This is then covered with a coat or two of matte spray lacquer.
Mr SoundBlab, very nice build as well as the others on your website. I have built a couple of speakers, but unfortunately I do not have the experience or knowledge of how to select the proper crossover components. In your Build Plans, do you include the speaker models and crossover components and crossover layout? Thank you.
Hi Richard, thank you! The build plans are very comprehensive. It shows every step in detail (including crossover schematic, layout and parts) and provides links to all the parts and even tools and equipment you will need for that build.
Is it possible to make a dual 10in center speaker that is also a dipole
I loved these, being a committed hi-fi nut. one thing that puzzles me though is the speaker terminal plate on the rear. As you've included wall mounting brackets won't the speaker terminal plate and the speaker cable stop the speaker from lying close to the wall? Would it influence the speaker if you were to machine a recess for the speaker terminal plate?
Thanks. You can just extend the screws in the wall far enough to clear the terminal cup. Or use some silicone or rubber spacers on the back.
Congratulations on your beautiful work. I learned a lot by watching your work. What is the website of the mdf fold calculator?
Thanks. www.blocklayer.com
Awesome build man!
Thanks
Love your solution for bending the front panel. Very elegant. Need a table saw though
No you don't you could do it with a CNC as well. Don't have one of those? an electric saw... clamp a piece of wood as a guide.
That is so incredible. I may be missing the obvious, but what is the recess cut along the upper and lower faceplate do? Is it for decor?
Thanks. Its just a shadow line to visually break the transition between the different materials.
Well done nice skills.
Thanks
Impressive as always 👌👌 I want to watch speaker testing also.
Thanks. I am considering a sound demo at this stage. This type of speaker is difficult to demo since its not a typical stereo speaker.
Nice. Very Bose. Maybe recess the speakers and add grille cloth. Make all cuts/holes/drilling before assembly and finish to prevent damage to the nice finish work you did.
Thanks. These will go up on a wall, so not too worried about damage.
It's better to use some saw dust as fillers to the glue...
I heard your accent and was gonna ask if you were based in SA? But then I saw the news paper you used with ‘GAME’ advertising, and we was like.. aah..haha. Great looking speakers, and good build techniques, I’m learning a lot from you, thanks!! Where do you get your parts, as I know SA isnt that easy to find stuff like that..
Thanks man! I order most of the specialised parts such as drivers and crossover components from overseas. You won't find them locally.
Super👌👌👌👌
Tx
Very similar to the curves of the Bose 901's and, the 201 speakers.
they don't even look alike ....
Somewhat similar overall shape. Similar curves? Yeah no...
Очень красиво. Лайк.
Thanks
I was waiting for him to test those speaker😢
这是高手!太厉害了这个。。。
Thanks
I have a question with speakers like this, if there are 3 drivers does this means it is a stereo speaker by itself? or wired in such a a way that the signal is split evenly across the tweeters and woofer? or Ive seen speakers that have 2 lots of terminals on the back often bridged together, are these true stereo speakers in a single box? Thanks for any insight, I love your vids keep up the awesome work =)
These are specifically for surround purpose in a home theatre setup and will not work as front left and right stereo in a normal listening environment.
Super 👌👌👌
Thanks
@@SoundBlab thanks sir Ripley
Hello a great job perfect 👌 from Germany 🇩🇪 👋👋👋Kai
Thanks
whats the model of the bose speaker?
Nice speaker
From where i can buy it
What is the watts of the speakers?
Super
I wish you would go in to details about how this speaker works good for theater. Or why you picked the speaker and crossover components you did. You do make nice looking speakers, just not what im looking for in content.
Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely make an effort to do so for some of my projects.
Very nice work. Do you have builds or plans for Ceiling/in Wall speakers?
Thanks. Not yet, but the project is on the list for the future.
Good speaker bro
Thanks
Show !! De bola !
Hello I am also from Cape Town (southern subs). I would love to know where you got your crossover components from.
Hi, there are no local suppliers. I import everything from Parts Express, Madisound and Soundimports.
Can you plz guve the playlist of song you are playing in this video
Nice build
I see u from cape town
If I may ask where do u buy your speakers
Mostly from Parts Express, Madisound and sometimes eBay or Amazon.
partsexpress.com
Good job!!
How do you calculate all components on crossover?
Thanks. I used software called Xsim for the crossover modelling.
Is this a Bipole speaker, where can I learn more about how to design, and make a cross over for this kind of speaker.
Yes. There is not a lot of resources for this specifically. I had to figure it out on my own through trial and error.
@@SoundBlab instead of a bipole speaker could I make two identical speakers and angle/position them in a way like a bipole if so how could I get two side channel speaker to play at once. Without a series or parallel connection
What would it cost me If I have you make me 5 of those speakers?
Nice!!
Thanks
Cool.. 👍
I don't understand the layers of plywood look but otherwise very good.
I quite like the look of the exposed plywood edges, but I know it's not in everybody's taste 😉.
any reason these couldn't work as general music listening speakers? it's a nice design.
Thanks. They are designed to listen to off to the side (left or right). If from the front, you will not get a flat response.
@@SoundBlab that could be great if placed correctly. i'm comparing to having a couple of speakers on bookshelves for example.
Nicely executed speakers! Btw, wich is the song that starts playing at 6:00?
Thanks. No idea, but all from epidemicsound.com
It's called liability by tape machines feat. Astyn turr. I came across it on epidemicsounds. It's on CZcams if you want to listen to it.
Very nice looking speakers, but what are the specifications ?
Thanks

@15:36 - Don't even pretend like I didn't just see you wire that tweeter outside of the box X-P
Ha... someone noticed 😊
Hi bro, I'm from Tamil Nadu in india, I Need Job in your Workshop...
hello my friend ... can you tell me what is the name of this machine that you stick to the speaker? if possible send me a link so I can search. I am grateful
I am not sure what you refer too...
@@SoundBlab
I say this portable machine that you drill and finish the wood to put the speaker
