  • Lone Wolf Custom Gear - WOLF Pack Review in this video I review the very popular and often sought after WOLF PACK. Probably one of the most popular whitetail hunting packs for the 2021 deer season.
What I really wanted to know for myself is it worth it? You know $300 is a lot to spend on a whitetail pack.
This was by far one of the hardest reviews ive ever done. The pack is full of so many features it was hard to catch and remember them all in the video. I even had to go back and add a scene showing what some of the pack did.
Hopefully this video is helpful for you in your quest for a LWCG Wolfpack

Dude your reviews are the best. NO BS. No brand bias. Have a good balance of pros and cons. Too many reviews are reluctant to talk about the shortcomings of products even if they aren't trying to be biased they feel like they have to justify the money they spent and lie to themselves to make it seem better than it is

For the gear straps on top you had it buckled across. You want to buckle it vertically(to the buckles yo had it when you removed the jacket) so you just roll your jacket up.
That’s buckle is also dual purpose so how you clipped your jacket horizontally is how you clip it to the tree so you don’t need a separate gear strap.

I love the look of it and the compatibility with the lwcg stands but I just wish it was a little bigger. Maybe close to 1700 cubic inches. I really wanted to pull the trigger but can’t find enough reasons to switch from my Kifaru shapecharge. Other than size (I understand it’s meant for treestand use) I think it looks like a kick ass pack.

If that pack isn't whisper quiet it isn't worth 300 as a hunting pack. My badlands packs aernt noisy and I can get 2 of them for that price. Mine is about the same size so it would probably be a good comparison. I would be more concerned more about opening zippers instead of releasing magnets like I am now. As of now I have to determine what stand I am buying either the beast stand or a custom gear stand. Money isn't the issue. How that pack preforms is my major concern. It can do everything well but if it's noisy it's not a whitetail pack as farbas I am concerned

mobile (2nd season). I’m still working through the best way to carry in stand and sticks. Have you tried a frame pack with meat shelf (exo, stone glacier) vs just using a set of straps directly on the stand and then something small like the wolf pack strapped to the stand?

@@MichiganGreatOutdoors I have a little bit of experience with manufacturing these types of items. Since Horn Hunter is making these packs and blind labeling, and given the construction & size, this is a $99-$149 pack. For $300, I feel like there are a TON of better options. Horn Hunter, Eberlestock, Mystery Ranch, Kifaru, Alps, Tenzing, etc all make really good packs that are much more competitively priced. But who am I to tell someone how to spend their money lol... Lone Wolf backpack for 300+... or something from a company like Mystery Ranch... Hmmmm..... No offense to those that choose LW, but I think I'll go with the specialists on this one. The Wolf Pack isn't even waterproof... The zippers aren't quiet... The pack is small.... All the seams are only single-stitched, no box stitching. That's a 50.00 dollar backpack at Walmart... tops.
BTW, I own the LWCG 1.0 and 17" sticks. I buy from companies the products they do well. I pass on what they don't. So I'm not a hater... and not a fan boy.

For what use? Saddle hunting or treestand? The cays pack has wayyyyy more room and a lot of features too. You could easily bungee the cays pack to any stand. I think the cays is better for saddle hunting, your could probably saddle hunt with the wolf pack but you would be very limited on storage space, specially if your filming your hunts. The badlands pursuit pack is a good cheaper option for $100 for tree stand use.
