- Vlog 016 - How to tile a shower bench and how to tile a shower half wall. In our shower we have a large 12x36 floating bench that we wanted to tile over. This whole project is a continuation of our GURU Shower system. The bench brackets that we used were by Aria Vent. It provides for strong floating shower seat.

Really great job and looking forward to the final resulta! I really appreciate the details you show and mention. It makes it more comprehensive
This is sick! You are a true craftsman
Love those miter corners!
Great job as always 👍🏼
Gonna look sick bro. Excellent knowledge, thanks.
Any time!
Wow, Really good tips
Wondering if you could have tilled bench top first and then wall to get extra water protection. Seems like grout between bench seat and wall would be where water could penetrate. I guess with the waterproofing behind its ok. thanks for sharing
This looks beautiful! Nice job
Thank you! 😊
Do you have video on that bench build out. I have a shower coming up and I love how thin that bench is.. Do you have a video on this whole build?
Very good job! what type of blade are you using to cut the schluter systems? The link in the desctription is not working
Can you please tell if you use backer board or foam and if so wat thickness
How did you set your bench? guy wants something just like this much appreciated man
sorry got it in description sick man this is gonna work great!!!
You can’t do any of that you have to tuck the tile on the seat and top of shelf underneath wall tile TCNA thin set can not be more than 3/4 of an inch your wall doesn’t have to be plum but why not Sluetter was nice though
I cannot find the follow up video about the bench.
We bought the brackets for the bench. What did you add to the bench before adding the tiles?
Did you get your answer? Asking because I’m wondering the same thing.
Like was cement board used prior to tile ?
@@jruiz1996 did not get an answer
First!!!
YESSS!
Why not do the bench first, then the wall tile laps down over? I see you do the same with your membrane installs.
Sorry, I think like a roofer-"follow the drip"
It is much trickier to do nicely finished and accurate U cut trimming bench surface than the way it was done on video, and waterproofing wraps entire bench anyway so it doesn’t give any benefit making it more difficult that it should be.
record in landscape not portrait!
Stupid question: how does the bench stay secured. If a 250lb person were to sit on that, how would it not collapse
I’m 220:) I have a video I’m working on showing you how I made it. It’s brackets from Aria Vents
@@WINNI.Designs fantastic! Hurry up and post it 🤌🏽 loll good job 👍🏽
All of you're videos are small in a big black box. No others videos on CZcams are like that...
They’re shot to watch upright/portrait not rotated/landscape. Not a big fan either but eh
@@rajsohan5509.. Yeah, I watch it on my TV and it drives me crazy
Sorry, I want to see the video BEFORE this one! Ugh!
