While it was looking pretty promising this morning, I’m glad I held off posting this vid until things looked more certain. CSAAA has now confirmed. Needed to do a hasty edit as originally this was based on there being a temporary window yet until at least Nov 9 to still acquire them dastardly handguns.. also why I was a little more chipper than I ought to have been in the vid. The update wrecked a few jokes I had originally put in there as well. “Sunny Ways” & “Jumped the Gun” were among the based commentary that was cut. Alas, sorry to say this battle is lost, but optimistic the war is far from over. It’s the long game we must now play and for that I have some ideas which I discuss in the vid.

The problem even over here in the states is the gun community is ridiculously small compared to the general population. Even other gun owners at my job (fudds) look at me like I’m crazy when I tell them why the right to own the same weapons are the police/military is important. So when government places “common sense “ laws they don’t think it’s a big deal since they have been programmed to think guns are only for hunting.

I get what you mean though, I get some people up here in Canada (other gun owners) look at me weird when I say this is all to disarm the law abiding population. I tell them hey if you don’t believe me then don’t come crying when you are the first in line to turn in your guns and realize you won’t ever get them back. Yea man this is a shame. My wife is Canadian. Her dad is legally a collector in Canada and we are worried that he won't be able to pass on his handguns on and keep them in the family after he's gone
He will not until the law changes. The freeze on transfers includes firearms willed to family members. If he passes before the laws change, his collection will be seized and destroyed by the RCMP.

That sucks to hear, we here in Oregon now have to deal with measure 114 which features quite a few unconstitutional things including (gun registry with the police which is made public and searchable online, red flag laws, 10rd magazine limit, grandfathered "high capacity" mags can be kept for home, range, and competition use. You now how to take a mandatory firearms safety class and pass a test that you have to pay for. Purchasing firearms now requires a license that is only valid for 5 years before you have to renew it, and I'm probably forgetting some other stuff. Everybody is scrambling to buy lowers and mags including myself before the law takes effect and ccan be enforced.
Measure 114 sounds like it would be a violation of the 4th and 2nd amendment , the constitution says 'let no law be written that would violate these rights'

As an Argentine, I give all my support to the Canadians to get out of the hole they got into with Trudeau. Honestly, try to get that guy out of power, let Argentina be an example to see what can happen to them.
As a gun lover, I'm sad that they have to go through these bans, but as someone who lives in a country ruined by socialism, I'm scared for the future of Canadians.
Anti gun my self for years, i recently changed my mind about guns.. as a canadian. Last year i did my pal and rpal course and got my rpal card in august 2022. Unfortunately, all the panic buyers bought every best handguns left.. so in the panic because i knew there will be a freeze soon, i bought 4 cheap handguns i will probably hate to use. And as of 1st nov 2022 (two months has passed since i bought the handguns) im still waiting to receive those handguns. The process to legally bring those guns home is extremely very slow. I've seen people who had to wait more than a year for their handgun purchase to be approved. The point is. Im a pro gun now.. pro gun also because i know it is difficult to obtain a handgun legally, and i would not risk to loose that privilege by doing silly things. Owning handguns in canada comes with very high risk to lose all your investment, go to jail and end up with a lifetime criminal record, not be able to cross the US border etc.. ofcourse anti gun canadian don't know those things unless they do like I did, trying to go through the process to legally buy a handgun.

We saw the extent of Trudeau's tyranny during the Big Lie of 2020, which saw the most basic of basic human rights being stripped away, for a lot longer than anywhere else in the world. I was never able to get handguns here in Canada, where I live is too rural so there's few ranges and the ranges that do exist take advantage of that and gouge prices, so I never could get the rpal. Not only do I want this handgun freeze to thaw, I want it to improve. I also want to become a gunsmith, but so many of the people around me are complacent. Sometimes it's hard to hold on to hope for a free Canada. Complacency and partisan politics are too strong, it seems impossible to get your voice heard by the bigwigs out east.

In the meantime, the business that holds most of the banned firearms on this channel will still be able to acquire and import them though, so at least I’ll still be able to produce content with new/different handguns going forward.

To all those wondering how he can have all these guns in Canada, nothing is actually banned, prohibited is a license category and grandfathered individuals and businesses (retailers, gunsmiths, importers etc) may achieve them. So, either you have to be lucky or rich to be able to purchase ar-15s and all up there. Getting all those prohibited guns has only become harder, not impossible.

Try buying : common bow & arrow, cross bow; create your own rubberized gun, coil / bar spring gun, muzzle loading gun, blow pipe, laser equipped sling shot, etc.. There were dozens of primitive weapons which can be used for home defense- just do correct, (addicted to its routine like Olympic athletes!..) practice daily in your yard, woodland, etc- untill you, your wife, children, etc. were able to hit a 1.inch size target in distance of : 5.mtrs, 10.mtrs, 15.mtrs.. etc. up to 50.mtrs.. As practice for fire drill, earthquake, first aid, etc was being done b4 the coming of THE MAIN EVENT- same with weaponries, practice tirelessly before the "true incident happen".. Buy night seeing scope like: night scope, ultra. violet scpe., starlight scope, thermal image scope, etc... Its a great plus if your family can practice night shooting.. Attend seminar about "Home Security" or buy a book with such topic... Learning fron the advice of active or ex. military peoples about basic man to man/ combat shooting will increase by 90% your chance of winning a gun fight with criminals!.. A body armor and "keblar helmet" were a great help- if you cant afford the price, do your own body armor designing.. Try multi layers of tough but light metals and tough plastics.. When the slug of .30 cal. M-14 rifle or .30 cal. Garand rifle (armor piercing type) failed to penetrate your self. designed body army- then,you can fabricate such kind for your family.. Consult the internet You Tube for basic idea on those weaponries, scopes, body armor which I mentioned... Being armed at the start with correct knowledge on science, tested facts, basic designs, etc.- will save a lot of time and minimized money wastage...

Please keep in mind im a US citizen and not well versed in Canadian firearm laws but i do want to bring up a point of discussion just for clarity. At 3:20 you mentioned how they can audit people anytime and check to ensure they have the guns they have purchased. My questions are basically 1) would the Canadian firearm community agree with some sort of regular auditing to ensure guns don’t fall into bad hands? And 2) does the part of the Canadian government that would be in charge of such checks actually have the manpower and capability to do those checks to clamp down on the issues you mentioned? I simply ask this because if either of these are no then the issue is that Canada doesn’t really have any effective way to control where firearms are going and this might just be politicians who know little on a topic beyond the news doing what they assume is best with little understanding and few other options. But on the flipside, if the answer is yes to either or both of those questions then I strongly suggest you write in and get people in your community and country at large to call or email in to your government and representatives to convey your disapproval but far more importantly try to write and submit some form of legislation that would allow for monitoring of the movement of firearms from good meaning citizens to the hands of criminals, mentally unstable individuals, and those with dubious intent to save lives while still protecting the freedoms of legal gun owners who are law abiding citizens.

I will always say, the best way to get people, (especially those not knowledgeable about guns, or who are very anti-gun) to understand Canadas gun laws and restrictions, is to make them go through the process. Not saying they must become a PAL holder, but they should at least go through the same process gun owners have to, to truly understand just how much we already compromise to ensure safety in Canada.
Sadly, it seems like the majority of people calling for, or blindly supporting these bans don't even know the basics of our system for a PAL, let alone knowing the even stronger restrictions for an RPAL.
Sad to say that if the situation here doesn't improve, moving may be the only choice my family, a family which is comprised of indigenous, and immigrant Canadians, has to avoid being criminalized for being lawful owners. Ive already talked with them about moving to Sweden or Germany, or over with our extended Family in Italy. Im hoping it isn't something we are pushed to do though.
Hopefully one day soon the frost thaws away into a better spring for everyone, gun owners and non-gun owners alike, I support having proper enforcement of the FA (firearms act), and of ensuring our licensing process is done to full capacity, (i'd take Swedish or German licensing requirements over these bans any day) but these bans are just punishing us, and using us as a wedge issue for votes, demonizing us in the eyes of less gun/gun law educated Canadians, and using us as an easy target.

If this is a bill passed into law a change in government will not revoke the law -we will be stuck with it. Canada has always been more of a long gun country anyways. BUT this will be the first step to control long guns and try to ban them as well -yes truly a sad day here in Canada

I’m a pretty left leaning American and I’m generally okay with reasonable and *EFFECTIVE* gun legislation but this just seems ridiculous. Canada’s gun control is already really effective, and this just seems like punishing law abiding people

Not gonna lie, as an American, when you said "illigal guns coming from over the border" it kind of blew my mind. I honestly don't know why but I've NEVER thought about that or ever heard that come up as an issue BUT it make so much sense considering many things from the fact we have like 9 guns per person here to the states that are on the border.
