Ich finde, heute wird auf der Bühne zu laut, zu schnell und zu seelenlos gesungen. Keine der "modernen" Stimmen weckt in meiner Seele so viele Emotionen wie es diese unvergleichliche Stimme von Ingeborg Hallstein vermag. Ihre flötengleiche, instrumental geführte und in den Registern übergangslos dynamische Interpretation ist auch deshalb bemerkenswert, weil man dabei noch jedes Wort verstehen kann, was bei sehr vielen Sängern nicht selbstverständlich ist. Ich wünsche dieser großartigen Sängerin noch viele schöne und gesunde Jahre. Alles Gute!

Erika Köth also possessed a gorgeous voice, brilliant technique and wonderful musicality, and was a great actress as well. She and Hallstein sang a lot of the same repertoire, but their renditions were always very different. I love both of them equally, and cannot rank one above the other.

Sie hat auch einen natürlichen Vorteil. Das gerollte "R", eigentlich eine Anforderung in der klassischen vokalen Musik, sogar auf Französisch, ist ihr sozusagen in die Wiege gelegt.

she realy has the most beautiful voice that I have heard and I have heard many sopranos. Her diction is so clear, I can understand each word, something I used to take for granted. Sadly most singers pay little attention nowadays to diction. I wonder why? Is it difficult to pronounce words when singing? Thankyou for this gem

yeah, consonants stop air flow and different vowels require the vocal tract to be in different shapes, which affects the sound.

Well her background in operetten certainly helped with the diction. Not like the old battleaxe Elisabeth Schwarzkopf that didn't like the: "Konsonanten spucken!"
