Yuuki Takemoto yah Wario is a rival to Mario and same for Knuckles to rival sonic. But in their story lines originally they did good. After sonic destroying supposedly the last of robotniks forces off angel island, a vicious eggrobo risen from the rubble. With vengeance in its coding the eggrobo somehow managed to cause the same chaos sonic endured as knuckles had to stop this relentless menace even if the eggrobo was destroyed by Mecha sonic as knuckles retrieved the master emerald at the end of his story. After Wario was kicked out of Mario’s castle, he have heard news that a nasty pirate named Captain Syrup was stolen a golden princess peach statue and hopes to find it first before Mario does so he could get his castle to be ‘Bigger and Better than Mario’s.’ Even though Wario found the statue first and somehow Captain Syrup tried to make a house out it, Mario was seen in the game piloting a helicopter as he takes the golden statue back to the Mushroom Kingdom. Wario still got his chance to have what he wanted as the Genie granted him a castle, (even a moon with his face on it)
I'm going to guess the people who decided that this is the best game ever SEEN on the virtual boy aren't able to see a lot now that they've made that decision.
It actually kind of is. Amazing in the fact that it turned out so genuinely incredible on a system so incredibly bad. It really is the only reason you should ever buy the console.

They need to start having Wario be like a villain again! This is great! He's kinda become a good guy these days. I'm not saying like all the time because he's a great character just like every now and then he should do villain things. Like in all the Mario Sports games where him and Waluigi would help Bowser every now and then in the cutscenes. It doesn't happen much anymore. Oh and miss these old commercials with that classic deep voice narrator always made games and movies so serious!

Bowser is a villain but cares about his minions, Peach, and the koopalings. Wario is an anti-hero but cares about almost nothing but himself. (And his pet Hen from Wario Land 2).
I dunno why but I love the orchestral music that plays in this commercial, I kinda wish there was a Wario game that included a sort of remake of the music as a in-game song for one of the levels

I love wario's personality in the warioland series, he is a robust man that doesnt fear anything and just destroys everything in his path while looking mildly inconvinienced or bored, and i think that makes it the perfect character of a 2d platformer

Wario needs a legacy collection released on modern consoles. I'm talking, all the Wario Land games including VB Wario Land(with possibly the two Mario Land games included since they're in the same series), Mario & Wario, Wario's Woods, Wario Blast, Wario World, and Wario Master of Disguise.
Normally, we enjoy wario for his greatest achievement, wario land 4 for the Gameboy advance, but I like the more menacing wario they went for here just as much.
