The eye shade thing is actually very easily replaceable. It's two parts, the shade thing and the plastic frame that it attaches to. Just pull on the shade and it comes right off.

I think it would be cool to see Nintendo return to VR with the current hardware. I had an idea for a Switch VR headset, u could just slide the console into a slot and use the joy cons as the controllers, the built in gyroscopes are perfect for that.

Unpopular opinion: I like the Virtual Boy. I know it’s not one of Nintendo’s greatest consoles, but some of the games appeal to me. I can also thank it for the debut of the Mario Tennis series. :)

It can even emulate the original Gameboy, and I’m not joking. Someone made an emulator to run on a flash cart and accept some Gameboy roms.

NGL as a kiddo I really loved my Virtual Boy console. I understand why it gets all the hate that it does. And maybe the hours of playing it are why my eyes are so bad as an adult. But I took that thing on our 2 day road trip to Florida and somehow, I don't know how, didn't throw up between the moving vehicle and the eye strain. I remember when Block Buster stopped carrying the consoles they had a big sale on their games they had to rent, and I picked up a lot then.
I'd never say it was a good console, it clearly was a flop. But there's still some of us that did enjoy it for the weirdness that it was, and there's probably dozens of us!
I do like the design and controller, the only thing which i dont like is bacause of the shoulder buttons being circle and start and select also being a circle, and that means that you may forget where is start or select.
5:41 Actually, Star Fox was supposed to have a game on the Virtual Boy. That got scrapped and we got Red Alarm. Honestly, I think the series would have died a lot earlier than today if we had Star Fox on the Virtual Boy. I don’t want to imagine Fox and his friends in this style… 😭😭😭😭
