India is on my sight for starting my business. I spent great deal of time in my 20's as a student, know pretty well and can speak, Hindi, which is an other advantage, for me. But i will try china as well.

Not all manufacturers do exports so you have to contact agents or merchant exporters like me to export in your land for negotiating from manufacturer. I'm especially deals in millets and essential oils, and one more thing here is a lot of scammer, so please always ask SGS inspection certificate from the exporter, Namaste 🙏
As a business person i strongly agree that you can get best product with lesser cost. Main constrain is GENUITY OF THE SUPPLIER.

We have been into Export business for past 20 year now, we have been into garments Manufacturing, also as we have been in this field for a long time Our Clients demanded to source many things like Herbal products, Essential oils and gems & jewellery, and the most demanded home decor so we have direct contacts with manufacturers.

I know someone who import clothes from Bangladesh , and my dentist who have a small business of sport clothing that import from Thailand, its exactly the same fabric that you buy from Nike and iits 70% cheaper.
to mention as well Medicine is dirt cheap there not all just the common ones. like 95% cheaper.

Doing business in India is not as easy as you are saying Steve , lot of challenges are there
It's not that hard either. You just have to do the due delegence first. I would advice to go for experienced and expert business in their domain. There are tons of ways to find one. Don't go for cheaper options instead go fpr the best quality

In Sweden there is a store chain that is called ”the India shop” it has been there since the 1970ies. It sells everything from garments, small Buddas in brass, trays in brass, some pottery, paper craft and much more. But their profile is so low now, way back all the Hippies went there.

Manufacturing has destroyed the fabric of China, polluting all its major cities and even rural areas, and now the destruction of manufacturing moving to India is evident there so much POLLUTION, that's why I have moved to another country with my family you know the reason, traffic jams, air pollution and lack of oxygen in the air in all major cities in India. So I don't know the end result of this crazy competition of exports, burning oil and emitting poisons into our sensitive ecosystem, it is definitely not the right direction, though I am from India I don't support this kind of a development, competition and polluting economic model 😞

I disagree with leather products. Indian religious belief is not to slaughter cow so how do they get leather ? They get it from other countries specially Muslim countries and further process it. The best countries would be Pakistan, Bangladesh to get leather products.
