- Hey everyone! This video very simply shows what a work day looks like for me. In this I am finishing handles and blades on a batch of san mai hunters and every day carries. This is for those of you who wonder what it looks like to make knives for a living (at least for me). I hope you enjoy!
Learn Knifemaking From Me!

When I started making knives I had a few amazing knife makers near me that I could ask questions and they would either answer by word or by showing me something. That information would push me forward in this craft every time i went back and applied it. I wouldn’t be where I am in knife making without those guys in my life. That’s why I am passionate about teaching and this platform allows me to do just that! If you want to learn more about how I make knives you can join my Patreon where I make more in-depth video tutorials and am available to answer the questions that you might have. When you join you get a new video every month AND gain access to all the previously made tutorials on there on everything from hand forging blades to making damascus and san mai to handle making (hidden tang, full tang, and integral) to sheath making (with a sewing machine and without) and much more. These videos are for every level of experience so try it out! You never stop learning. I know I don’t.

This is the relaxing part of knife making hand sanding and it is one of my favorite parts of making my knives call me crazy but it's the truth
I loved seeing a well studied Bible on your lunch break. I follow on IG, but this is the video I’d seen. I’m even more impressed now.

Great video! It really shows the typical solitude of a knifemaker's life. Beautiful work.

I really enjoyed the video.... it's really cool to see a little bit of what goes into making a knife...those are really good looking knives 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Curt good afternoon, I hope you are doing well, I wanted to ask you when you reveal the sheet with the acid, then do you neutralize it in some way? Or do you just clean it and that's it?
Hey! I use windex and then coat in a layer of oil after etching to neutralize the acid
Just subscribed....beautiful work!!! Damn something about a awesome blade gives me goose bumps!
Thanks so much!!
Awesome video! Where did you get too blade vise? I need one in a bad way. I realize they are fairly easy to make…
Definitely can be made but this one is very well done by Trojan Horse Forge. Great guys. It’s called the Stabile Rail Vise
Gave me anxiety watching this you sanded 3 knife handles and started eating and reading a book. This is what happens when you hire family or a friend.
