  • This video outlines my sheath making process when I am doing a batch of sheaths like these little pocket sheaths in this video. I made a video a while back about sheath making that performed rather well but unfortunately was not the best video work as it was early on in my video making experience, so I hope this video redeems it a bit. It also gives you a glimpse into the life of a knife maker and the details that I tend to obsess over. I love every little bit of the process and I love getting to show you all that too!

    I have tutorials on all kinds of things. Leatherwork (as aforementioned), San Mai, Damascus, hand forging, integrals, hamons, and all kinds of other things you have seen me do in the past. There are over 40 videos now on different knife making processes or special projects and a new one every month and you gain access to all of it when you sign up for $5 a month and if you do an annual subscription you will get 15% off.

    The leather knives I used were made by me.
    Grinder used in this was made by Brodbeck ironworks- brodbeckironworks.com/collect...
    The leather I use is 9oz skirting leather from Wickett & Craig. Really some great and consistent leather.

    Wow, way to set the mood for crafting! Sometimes I get intimidated by the custom process, but this reminds me why I choose to do it. Thanks for an inspiring video. I like your style.

    Hi. Very good and functional knives. In Russia, such knives are in demand, because they are often used in hunting when cutting an animal, elk, wild boar, deer, so I like it! Good luck.

    Good morning, what a good video, could you tell me the characteristics of the sewing machine? I want to buy one and I don't know which one will work.

      @CurtisHaaland  Před rokem

      Yes it’s actually a cowboy cb3200 and it can sew up to I think 3/4” leather. Something like that. Great machine. You can buy one from brodbeck ironworks.
