    Thank you , I keep telling people at the gym you don't have to sit all the way up. They mock the way I do sit ups(your way).good to know I am doing them correctly

      That is actually crunches which is also what he's actually doing is crunches. Sit-ups as the name suggests u got to sit all the way up. They still hit the abs but sit-ups being harder. One can mix both to increase endurance and intensity of the exercise.

      Alexander Skyzx Edeza Yes because obviously everyone who is in the military joined just for the physical training.. lol, dude, when you go through boot camp, you aren't given a choice on how to do sit-ups. If you told your drill srgnt you wanted to do them a different way because this will "hurt your back" he'd laugh his ass off and tell you to do 20 more.

    • @AutumnOConnor
      @AutumnOConnor Před 10 lety +1

      Zach Schaneberger - I believe the rules for a full military situp are where the wrist crosses the knees, or chest-to-knees, depending on your country... Also instead of holding your neck (which increases the tendency to pull on the neck, causing injury), either lightly (!) touch your ears with your finger tips (to maintain that standard "form") or try it as shown by ***** If your neck hurts, it simply means you're not strong enough yet ... practice, eh? :D

      U have broken down the muscle which is good and it means u had a good workout especially if ur not used to doing them. Just rest recover and do again.

      Cardio exercise and running, you can't burn"belly fat" you have to lose fat in everything, you can't choose one spot your whole body has to lose it.

    It's not a good exercise, but unfortunately law enforcement and military use sit ups as part of testing, so now I'm stuck on having to do these
